OK here is my question,,,,,,MY SO Birthday is NOV. 27, and we will be at THE MAGIC KINGDOM (OUR SECOND HOME LOL) ,,
He does not know we are going as of yet. ...what I was hoping was to get him to be the GRAND MARSHALL in Parade ,,he has ALWAYS wanted to do that and the Flag retreat (FLAG RETREAT was done last year and was WONDERFUL) he has always thought, NO ONE from FLORIDA will ever be the GM...oh please say it can be done, and any ideas on how to get it done ,,can I write someone? Call someone...I think it would just top off his Birthday in a GRAND WAY!!! HE is the BEST GUY around (OK well in MY opinion LOL) and I would love to at least try....Thank heaps for any help--if it can be done the ANSWER will come from you guys I KNOW!!!

Sorry, to say but from what I have heard it is just pure luck if you get chosen to be the Grand Marshall in one of the parades. You pretty much just have to be in the right place at the right time, to get picked to be in one of the parades.

Yes, I think that's right. There are so many people celebrating special things every day at Disney, I don't think they would be able to use that as criteria for selecting someone. It's just really good luck.

Thanks--I WILL keep trying though,,I wasn't really trying to use his Birthday as a reason to do it then,,just thought since we would be there.....I heard it was the luck of the "BEING IN THE RIGHT PLACE AT RIGHT TIME " for Vet of the day,,,but that just took a phone call to City HAll,,and a NICE CARING cast memeber that gave me the info I needed,,so maybe I will just try that again,,

I can personally attest to the right place at the right time theory. We started a conversation with a CM on Main Street as my DD was pin trading and after the pin transaction was complete, he asked if we would like to "help" with a special project. Of course we said yes without even knowing what it was, full confidence that anything Disney does is fabulous fun. We had an unforgettable time, it was just 2 days after my birthday!! Good Luck, and try hanging out on Main Street!

We rode in the AKL parade a few years ago. I blame my wife for that one. She made us all wear clothing with some kind of animal theme. She had this nice peacock looking shirt on. She bought me this flashy button down shirt with a tiger on it (haven't worn it since ). My 1 son had a dinosaur outfit on and the other had giraffes on his shirt. She wasn't trying for us to get in a parade, she just went a bit over the top on that trip.

So we were walking out of a gift shop and a CM stops and asks us about our outfits. Next thing I know we were invited to be in the parade.
