Maya Grill with Kids?

Just interested in what this place is like with kids - it does have a kid's menu (our normal rule of thumb for eating out) and our kids are normally well-behaved in a restaurant (ie. they sit at the table and quietly colour or chit chat - no runners, table climber/hoppers etc.).

I'd like to book it for a few reasons:
1) We're skipping Mexico this year for WDW
2) My DH would enjoy the food
3) My daughter's name is Maya and she would think it was cool!

Is it a place people would regularly take kids too? Is the food good? Would San Angel in Epcot be better suited? Or should we hit both?

My kids really enjoyed the Maya Grille this year. They have a really great kid's menu.

The first time we tried them, they were fairly busy and we waited a long time and had so-so service (2005). This year, we went right at 5 and the restaurant was empty. We had great service and were out in about an hour.

We ate here while celebrating DD's 1st birthday last year. Service was pretty good, they do have a children's menu (it's just not posted online), food was good and we certainly didn't feel out of place having a young child. I think you'd be fine.

Have a great trip!
