We are attempting to plan a last minute trip. I was really hoping to leave sometime between 3/21-3/30. I won't know for sure if this will be possible until around the 15th. Anyway, if it isn't then I want to wait until the Easter crowds die down. How is the weather at the beginning of May? We were there last year the 2nd week of April. It was really hot. Most days were near 90. It made it hard to do a lot.

Just wondering if it is really a rainy season, and what the normal highs are like?

We actually went in mid-May and the highest it got was mid 80's. It was hot but it wasn't unbearable, we just jumped in the pool mid afternoon and cooled off. We are going this December and I am more worried about it being too cold instead of too hot! Have a great time:D

so the mid 80's sound pretty darn good to me! I am hoping for warm and dry in May.

May is pretty much the start of summer in Florida. It's not as hot and sultry as June through August, but the temps and humidity are pretty noticeable once May rolls around. On the bright side, the rainy season doesn't really get cranking until June so you're not quite in daily thunderstorm mode, either. Expect highs in the upper 80s with lows in the low 60s in a typical year.
