May the Force Be With Us May 2012 Dining Review Updated Narccoosses

Joining in! Can't wait to hear about Boma as that is our new ADR for July. I wish I had gotten Chefs because your pictures just made my mouth water! Yum.

Love Remy's "handler", too!!! He just really plays his character well.

He really does, almost too good!

Signing on for more......

Yay, glad to have you here :)

Okay, that's it, you've convinced me to give Chefs de France another chance. That all looks delicious! DH and I ate here for dinner on our honeymoon in 2009 and it didn't really thrill me, but I felt like we ordered very poorly that time. I am now finally convinced to put it at the top of my list to try for lunch next trip. Great start! Can't wait to read more :thumbsup2

Trust me I had doubts about this lunch and it was fantastic!

It's been quite a long time since I've been to Chefs. Perhaps it's time to add it to the list on my next visit! The goat cheese flatbread looks great!

You should, the flatbreads are wonderful.

Everything looks so good! And I love Remy, too! :)
:goodvibes

DH and I were supposed to have lunch there on our last day of the last trip...but we took a nap instead. We were so worn out by the end of the week! I do wish we'd managed to make it. I don't think we'll be stopping by this year...but you never know... :)

I know the feeling! We skipped one of our reservations because we were too tired and weren't hungry at all.

I really enjoy chefs as well!! I made my reservation for dinner though, in November, so unfortunately I'll be missing Remy!

Remy or no Remy the food is worth it.

I love all the light that streams into that restaurant. It's my fav!!

Looking forward to more reviews!

Me too :)

Great start. Looking forward to more.

Glad to have you here!

A wonderful thread here! :sunny:

Just read the whole thing so far and I'm looking forward to reading the rest when you post.

You and your hubby are a lovely couple. :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts and photos with us.

Wow everything looked amazing at Chefs, I really wish I could fit in it this trip... it's at the top of my list for next trip!

After the frustration of the rental car at least you had a great meal! I'm a huge fan of the flatbreads. Yum! Also, I don't think that I have had a meal at Chefs without getting the creme brulee.

Hanging in there for more of your adventures in food! :cloud9:

Your Chefs review makes me so sad we have to skip it this trip, it is one of our faves! Those profiteroles are so amazing! Looking forward to reading more!

So glad to have found your reviews! Chefs looks yummy, and your DH's dessert looks a-mazing!

I didn't realize CSR had club level rooms. We stayed there on our first family trip and absolutely loved the resort.

Glad you had a great trip....and thanks for sharing!

Joining in for the great reviews. You have a lot of the same ones we have made for June, so it will be interesting to see your review before we go.

Never had Chefs before, but my son wanted to try it this time, so we have a lunch ADR. Looks good, I am glad we made it now.

The CM at CSR told me the club level has been there for about a year. I would not pay for it but it was a nice addition to our vacation.

Dinner May 17th Boma

Boma was the highlight of our trip in November and it didn't let us down this time. On Thursday and Sunday nights only they have the best lamb curry on the planet. I didn't take pictures due to the small table with people on both sides and didn't want to be rude :lmao: I started off with the seafood soup/gumbo, it is soooo good! I am going to make it home as I found the recipe online. I hope it tastes as good. From there we both had the lamb curry with basmati rice:worship:. Also had strip steak from the carving station with different salads, veggies, and rices. There is nothing on this buffet that isn't good and is truly a special place to dine! I had one zebra dome for dessert and my DH had nothing, he was too full! If anyone is having doubts about this place, don't it is food you are going to be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Our service was also great, we always had refills on our tea and plates were cleared off promptly. I cannot wait to go back again ;)

We totally agree about dinner at Boma! We had a so-so experience in 2004, but in 2010, it was amazing! And we weren't even there on a Thursday or Sunday. The soups and stews alone could fill us up, and then there's all the other wonderful items. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone. I'm so glad it didn't disappoint you this time around. :)

I agree that Boma is wonderful. The problem that I'm finding with Disney World is there are too many great places to try and you can't fit all into one regular vacation. I actually sat down once and listed all the restaurants I wanted to try or revisit. To do that on one trip would mean a 3 week vacation!!

I'm very excited about Boma. And I can't wait to just explore the hotel too :) I booked an early ADR (4:45) there because we have the Wishes Dessert Party booked that night at 9. I know we will be full from Boma, but I think we will have enough time to walk it off before the dessert buffet party. I couldn't fit it in any other night.

Boma is one of our favorite restaurants at WDW....both breakfast and dinner. We couldn't squeeze both in for our trip in October, so we're just doing dinner. Glad you enjoyed!

Please share where you found the seafood soup/gumbo recipe. That is our FAVORITE from this past trip and I dream of it everynight.. lol!

Glad you had a great Boma dinner. I'd be interested in your soup recipe as well. :yay: We've only been to Boma for breakfast but I would love to try dinner sometime. And the hotel is so beautiful and unique - I love the theming.

Looking forward to more of your dining adventures! :hippie:

Great reviews so far! I had a modified version of that salmon dish at Les Chefs, and I agree that the salmon was very good. :)

Lunch May 18- PT 50's cafe

Before the SWW parade we had lunch at 11:30 at one of our favs. Our server was Chris and he was super nice and played the role quite well. He was the right dose of fun and gave us excellent service. For our appetizers I had the crab cakes, very good! My DH had the wedge salad with ranch. For drinks I had the berry smoothie and my DH had the strawberry milkshake.

I can't get my crab cake photo to upload

For the main course we had the platter! We could not even eat half but it was soooo good! I love their pot roast.

We had Dad's browine sundae but to go! We still have one in our fridge :lmao:

PT 50s is one of the best themed places in all of WDW and the food is excellent and again this is another place I will be going back to!
