May the Force Be With Us May 2012 Dining Review Updated Narccoosses

Yes only at CSR for the moderates, I think it has something to do with it being a convention resort. There was a convention going on while we were there, but we just there on vacation. We had the yellow room keys just like the club level deluxe resorts.

Thanks! That is so cool. I had no idea they had a club level there. I LOVE it when I learn something new. And btw, thank you and your husband for your service to our country. You guys are an adorable couple and I'm really enjoying your review!

What a great thrill to be upgraded to CL!!! it looks very nice. Glad you enjoyed it. It would be cool if they allowed service men/women access to CL lounges as a thank you! Just a thought Disney...

Enjoy your day!

Great review so far! That's so interesting I didn't know CSR had a club level! How special to get an upgrade :yay:

Didn't realise there was CL at CSR either - how lovely for you. We go to Yachtsman for first time this year and can't wait but will be very disappointed if we get service as bad as you did. Never seen pics ofthe surf n turf before :) Makes great value of 2 credits on ddp

Very cool to see a review of CSR club level - I knew it existed, but I've seen very few people actually discuss it. :thumbsup2

Lunch Sat May 19 Le Cellier

We had a ressie for an old favorite Le Cellier at 11:30. We were seated within a couple of minutes and the restaurant was pretty empty overall. Le Cellier just gets better and better everytime we dine there. We had the nicest most pleasant server who made the experience even better. For our apps my DH had the bowl of Cheddar Cheese Soup, and I had the Rock Fried Shrimp with sweet chili sauce and sweet pickles. It was hard for me to not get the soup as I love it (also make it at home too), but these shrimp were excellent. Not greasy, light breading and the pickles were the perfect addition to complement the flavors. Again due to a nice couple sitting next to us I didn't want to look like a weirdo taking pics of the food, so no pics :lmao: We both had the filet, I went for something different and had the risotto and my DH had the cream cheese potatoes. I am not sure which is better, I hate mushrooms and those mushroom were like "butter" :goodvibes After being miserable from eating too much we attempted dessert, I had the cheesecake and DH had some sort of chocolate cake. For those people that talk smack about this place they need to get their head examined, this place is a Disney Dining Treasure and we love it! Too bad I cannot get a ressie for my friend and I who I am in the midst of planning a girls only trip for the first weekend of the F&W! I am such an addict that enjoy the planning more than the trip:rotfl:

here here! I agree, LC is a Disney dining treasure!!! All you people who talk smack about our beloved LC please line up for your head examinations! Glad to see that it still rates well for you. I'm trying to picture shrimp & pickles though....

The dish is so new I just googled it and could not find a pic.

We've eat at LC every time we've gone to Disney and it is my DDs "favorite steak in the whole world", nevermind that she's only 12 and hasn't tried steak all over the world. :rotfl2: We're going back in August and DD is appalled that we are not going to LC this time. I'm a little sad as well but I've decided that we need to try all new places this time! Reading these awesome LC reviews are making me second guess myself. Nothing better than the filet!

I've never had a disappointing meal at LC, either. The servers I've had have always been very good. My only complaint is that the tables are so close together but this seems to be common at Disney restaurants.

I agree we were on top of people there and at Boma. It's like almost dining at Biergarten were everyone sits at one table :lmao:

I am sad because I can't get a ressie there for end of September so I will be branching out and trying Via Napoli and San Angel with a friend from work.

That sounds like me! I planned a trip this Easter for my family and I loved every second of it even though I wasn't even going on the trip with them. Planning for WDW is half the fun! :thumbsup2

Another Le Cellier fan here! DH and I have only been once, but we loved it. The cream cheese potatoes and rock fried shrimp both sound delish!

The last time I ate at Le Cellier had to be approximately 6-8 years ago. Over the past few years, it has been so difficult to book, that I haven't been back. DH and I decided we wanted to give it a try, and I was able to get an ADR for November. Lately I had been second guessing my ressie and was thinking of canceling based on all the negative reviews I have read lately. Well, your was probably the 3rd positive review I read this week, so I think I will keep it in my plans.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share your reviews.

Your most welcome, be sure you have a pretzel bread stick for me :goodvibes

Happy to hear you had a good server at Le Cellier, and that the food was good. I'm usually very happy with the food there, and the new rock shrimp appetizer sounds great. :)

Back to my dining report! Work has been super duper busy the past week so I have not had a lot of Disboards time :lmao: Anyway we did skip our Biergarten reservation this past trip, we didn't eat anything that night except some popcorn and split a cupcake (sooo healthy right!) :rotfl2: Anyway the next day we ate at the wonderful delicious Yak and Yeti!!

Lunch

Yak and Yeti
Sunday May 20

We arrived right at 11:30 after catching the bird show, which I love being a parrot Mommy and all. The restaurat was totally empty and we were seated upstairs right away. I love the atmopshere and decor of this place. I have never been to India before but this place sure does feel like it. We had a really nice server and being our second time ever here the food was just as good. This time on the deluxe we had their appetizers that rocked our socks off!! My DH had the potstickers and I had the egg rolls. The potstickers were the perfect crispness and temperature as were the egg rolls.

For our entrees we had the same thing we had back in November! Why change a good thing. My DH had the ribs and I had my beloved seafood curry. I need to make this again soon! For dessert we split the fried wontons. We were so stuffed one bite and we were done.

Yak and Yeti is truly a hidden treasure in Animal Kingdom. I love the variety in the menu and how truly good the food is there. It is owned by Landrys who owns places like Rainforest Cafe, Trex, and Landrys Seafood house. I have a reservation here to bring my friend in September and can't wait to dine here again.

Ooh I am very late joining - sorry :(
Great reviews so far
We must try lunch at Chefs next time, it looks really good
Shame about your service at YSH, we have one of our fave servers ever when we had dinner there :)

I am just drooling over the seafood curry! I will hopefully getting around to making the recipe you sent me this weekend!
