May or September for crowds and heat?

Early May would probably be best, September is still a bit warm and humid.

our family is going in mid May, but I've been trying everyday for 2 months to get a dinner reservation at Be Our Guest without any luck, hopefully I can score a lunch reservation when they go online next week

Do they allow people to wander into Be Our Guest and just look around? If I can't get reservations I would still love to see it.

Thank you everyone for their help! We have booked for April 26 - May 2nd and are very excited!
Staying at Port Orleans Riverside at a moderate resort for the first time.

We are going in May and there are still tons of ADRs available - not for BoG of course but still lots of other great places. Tomorrow BoG will start taking ADRs for lunch - don't know if it will be a CS or TS for lunch - so there is still a chance of eating in the castle. I have been checking several times a day for our entire stay and nothing has opened up for dinner at BoG so we will just be happy with lunch.

And I know you already booked but I just wanted to add my opinion on Sept - blah It was hot, humid and crowded (free dining is usually offered in Sept) and this is coming from my family that came from Puerto Rico. We know hot and this was horrible, most days we left earlier than normal because we were miserable and just wanted to go to the pool.

Now Oct we love, MNSSHP, F&W, weather gets nice by mid Oct
