My parents are coming home from WDW today, and said the weather was really hot and humid. They couldn't stay out too long and had to take some breaks at the hotel b/c of the weather. We already have a reservation for 5/13-5/20 next year. Will it be just as hot in May as it is now? DH & I went in March and had perfect weather-- I know March is iffy. SHould we change our trip to March, or maybe January? I know January is also iffy, and most likely pretty cool. Any advice?

Thanks!
Melissa

I have been in May, June,February and January and by far the most temperate weather was in January & February(40's-70's). Of course, on one of the January trips we saw snow(the locals were freaking out!) Early May is really beautiful and not as hot as you'd think(60's-80's). Of course, some of the days were pretty warm, but we just drank a lot of water and took a few breaks. My elderly mother hung in there with the rest of us.

The one trip I took in June made me swear off summer months at Disney--it's just too blasted hot and crowded. But either January or early May are delightful months. It just depends one what you want--more warm days or more cool days. Both months have rain and we found the crownds to be about the same.

We went in May 3 years ago and it was so hot it was not enjoyable. We keeped pouring water over our heads to try and cool off. We also had my almost 2 year old with us and it was to hot to keep him outside for very long. Hope this helps.

We went in May 02 and although we enjoyed it, it was just too hot. Going in December this year....

We usually go in Jan. or Feb., but this year we went in May. Not only did we not enjoy the heat, we noticed that people (CM's and other guests) tended to be a little more cranky than we had experienced on earlier trips. I assumed it was because of the heat. It took away some of the magic for us, so we are returning in Jan. for our next trip. It can get cold, but we don't mind the cold as much as the heat, so it really is the best time for us to go.
