May not be the last we see of the Osborne lights...

Hey, I'm new here. I've never gotten the chance to see the lights in person, but I was wondering, maybe they could find a way to bring them somehow to Epcot in some form. Obviously not the same, but Future World is in need of some love during the holiday season and I believe I read somewhere that they used to have lights in that area? Not positive, maybe someone could correct me, but either way, would love to see a light show of some nature back for the holiday season somewhere other than the Magic Kingdom.

From what's been said it seems there's no current location suitable for that particular light show.

Which doesn't actually stop them putting lights elsewhere. Epcots Lights of Winter were pretty impressive, just different. Do a Google Image search and you can see what they were like.

Oh, wow! Those are absolutely gorgeous! I would LOVE to see something like that return. Maybe with the lights gone from Hollywood Studios they'll think of bringing them back in a new way! Thanks for the info, by the way!

I like your idea. We used to really enjoy Lights of Winter but now with it gone and also the Osborne Lights maybe Disney will plan something new?

That would be wonderful! I think it would just fit well at Epcot, especially since Hollywood Studios will have limited space with all the construction set to start. Fingers crossed!

Plus it's true that Future World is rather pathetic nowadays. Something like that could really boost interest.

I agree. Fingers crossed.

reteetz...
You are probably correct. What my Imagineer Dave said, was that Streets of America was coming down BECAUSE of SWL. He did not in fact say it was going right there.
The area that will be ALL of Star Wars Land will be quite large and will probably spill into that area though. Maybe not all the way to the Stunt Show arena; but close

Correct. The stunt show and catastrophe canyon are supposed to be the area for phase 3.

There was speculation that it would go when the sponsor dropped. It would seem that attraction count is a factor here. If they don't need the land yet, the park really needs something to absorb guests.

There's not a lot left at Hollywood Studios, so, I definitely think you're right. When we went, even last September, it was only a half day park. It was nice and calm, but not really a ton of things to see.

Exactly why its still there.
