Joe - do you know if he can take us to the blue grotto?

I would think so. Looks like roughly 20 miles around the island. I guess it would depend on weather. He says he can go anywhere deeper than 2 meters. Top speed is 26 knots but I'm no sailor. My guess is it would depend on what the weather was like. If it is a very calm day it might not be possible.

Right now it is just my family and even though $500 is a good deal it is more than I want to spend for one day. I am really hoping to split this about 4 ways if possible.

Has anyone been contacted be Disney about ground transportation? I had a voicemail on my cell phone and an email to setup DCL ground transportation.

I thought it strange because we did not book air or hotel through DCL.
I guess it's one last chance to get more $$$ out of us!!! :)

Do you just want the high tea? You are welcome to join for dinner too if you would like.

Jill
Thanks, Jill! I guess it would depend on which day you get the dinner for. The ABD Palo dinner is on the Tunisia day, and I have a Palo dinner reservation for the Corsica night (which you are welcome to join *me* on). Although you may be sick of my face by then :rotfl:

We definitely plan a visit to Montserrat. It sounds breathtaking. Not sure if we will go before the cruise or after. We are there for two days before and one full day (plus port day) upon return. Thanks for the shoe advise. Ecco maryjanes all the way!

I still haven't posted my pictures on facebook yet, but if you want to look me up, I'm "Cynthia Stephens Perrier." My profile picture is of me with a shot glass in my hand. I should be the only person that comes up when you type in that name. Or you can search for me by my email address cindy_perrier@yahoo.com. I plan on posting my Spain trip pictures on Sunday after I get back from the Keukenhof Gardens.

I am watching BBC news about the volcano. Cracking up because they keep talking about the turbines, '...sucking ash...' :happytv::rotfl: Sorry, just thought it was funny. Good luck to all traveling!!

One day closer, my friends!

FE signup is now closed! :wizard:

I will finalise the list and send it all out later today/tomorrow at the latest. :surfweb:

Getting very excited now. 4 weeks tomorrow!:cool1: :cheer2:

Can someone help me understand dining for the cruise?

I read that each night we will rotate to one of the 3 main restaurants on the ship. So as I understand, we will start in one of the three and move night to night throughout the cruise, got it, very clear.

But, if we are on an excersion until say 6:45 and we have main seating, what happens? Do we miss our dining and then just go to one of the causual or quick service restuarants when we return to the ship?

What if we get back at 5:45? Do you think we will still be able to make our regular dining or do you think we will have to eat elsewhere?

I might have to change one of our excursions if we won't be able to make dinner one night. We are on the waiting list for late dining, but I'm not getting my hopes up on getting that changed.

One more thing, how do we find out which night we are at which restaurant, or do we have to wait until we get there?

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

correct

generally if you're late back you'll miss your seating. It'll depend what time you get back. If its just a small bit late they'll let you go in, if not you can go to topsiders (for sit service with a salad buffet) the quick eat places or room service

what if we get back at 5:45? Do you think we will still be able to make our regular dining or do you think we will have to eat elsewhere?

as above - if you can get to dinig room only a little late they'll let you in

i might have to change one of our excursions if we won't be able to make dinner one night. We are on the waiting list for late dining, but i'm not getting my hopes up on getting that changed.

i think you stand a reasonable chance of getting late dining - normally people are wait listed to get main dining - so i'd be willing to bet there's effectively someone they can swap with you so you get late and they get main. Make sur eyou go to rockin bar d on embarakation to re-register your request for late dining

one more thing, how do we find out which night we are at which restaurant, or do we have to wait until we get there?

you find out when you check in. The rotation is printed on your key to the world card, and there's a schedule in your stateroom. If you change to late dining then your rotation may well change aswell, but they'll notify you of that.

any help on this is greatly appreciated.

My wife is working on our FE and I have a question for all those Disney Veterans... How large should the pocket be. Our FE pocket is about the size of a standard sheet of paper in length and width. I would expect this to be okay but I have no idea what will go in there. We were only planning one pocket. Is that okay?:confused3 The pictures on the boards show these shower rack sized gynormous things with 3-4 pockets. Does the old saying, "size doesn't matter" still apply. Come to think of it... Did it ever?

Sounds like the East Bounders finally hit rough seas, they got some rock and roll yesterday. Now that they are half way and nothing but open water guess big waves happen, the sun must have come out for them. They all still seem to be having a great time.

Our e-mail from Disney yesterday said we had all of our paperwork in, and needed to do nothing else to prepare, guess they didn't realize traveling with 3 girls there is plenty do do in the next 29 days. The shopping has started in earnest, if we visit one more store I may need more than wine tasting.

:lmao::rotfl2: Cheers Mike! :drinking1

THANKS SO MUCH TO JEFF for planning the Palo Brunch. I was thrilled last night to see that we will be enjoying an elegant brunch the last day at sea. Thanks again for all your extra efforts!

Wear them...just a way to recognize/get to know one another. If you'd like a lanyard/name card either post it here with the first names of those you'd like to have one and we'll also put your DIS name (dvcspain) on there or send ebony a PM.

Here's a picture of the lanyard/name card auntlynne sent me just so you get an idea of what we're talking about.

They are great!!!! :thumbsup2
Thanks Jeff and ebony! :)

Sounds plenty big to me. The FE gifts are intended to be inexpensive, which typically equates to smaller *and* the gifts from your FE group will be spread out over the cruise. Looks like we ended up with 37 groups so assuming two groups, that's be 18-19 per group. We plan to distribute 2-3 gifts per night to staterooms on same deck/same area of the ship. Speaking of FE, we need to get in gear and either buy them or make them pretty soon.

Have you seen the new DCL exclusive Dooney & Bourke purses?! They posted a link on the Disney Parks blog and they're adorable! I heard Goofy is carrying the flags of the Med countries we will visit.

Hey y'all, I know there was another poster yesterday who was still looking for a brunch ressie. I was just able to book day 7 at 10:30. Now that I'm booked, I can't see if there are any more left at that time, so you may want to log on and check. And maybe some more will open up throughout the day. Good luck!
