Restrictions at Madrid-Barajas airport have been suspended, so the activity comes back to normal, with 46 operations an hour. However, some delays are still expected due to the effect of the restrictions during the last days.

I can live with that. Still keeping my fingers & toes crossed, but I've relaxed my eyes...

Bags packed on my way to St. Louis. Catching a Cardinal game tonight. We leave out of STL on Thursday. AA 152 out of JFK that night. We wish that the ash would stop already! I think I will have a beer at the game tonight and root for my Cardinals, what else can we do.... I feel the ash is out of my control! Good luck to everyone and safe travels! Planning on seeing everyone at the fountain. Positive thinking!

Will you swing by Ted Drewes for a concrete milkshake? They were our favorite when we visited St. Louis. We are nervous about our Thursday flight too!

Between the ash and me wearing a bathing suit through security, I think we will all be safe from terrorists, and might also have empty flights, as I will scare everyone away.

Update on my flight situation: Lufthansa switch my flight to German Wings without any notification what so ever. Finally thought I got it all sorted. Called my freind who is traveling with me and she didnt know. After many hours, Lufthansa tells her they cannot switch her flight, it is illegal for them to do. She told them about our situatio and they told her that we probably dont have seats because they cannot book on another airline. Do I have tickets, do I not have tickets? That is the question. My friend does not. We booked back in December and I would not have none about any of this if it wasn't for you guys having your flights delayed/cancelled. We are going to drive to the airport tomorrow to see what is going on. It cost us 1 euro a minute to call German Wings!

The good news is i now have my netbook fixed so can check into disboards on Saturday to get the page total .

We had to buy Windows 7 to install in order to fix all the problems - but that's got it working and is still cheaper than having to buy a new netbook (it was seriously FUBAR)

It looks like your AA flight is a codeshare with Iberia, because when I look at Iberia's flights from JFK to BCN, they show an AA flight, marked as IB7084, scheduled to leave at 18:25, now estimated for tonight as 20:30. I guess AA had to inform Iberia they thought they'd be late. The equivalent of my flight for tonight still shows as on time at 18:00. Hmmmm...

I can't believe that this time Thursday, I'll be (pray god) in JFK, waiting around for my flight to leave for BCN! Yeesh! I need to get some packing done!

I called Delta this morning and they basically told me that they couldn't tell me anything until I got to the airport on Thursday. At that time they would determine if the flight is canceled, whether they could book me on a different flight/partner airline or just refund my money.

I found this map of the ash cloud. It shows various places that are affected plus US air space.

I just checked our flights with USAir and today all west bound flights to Lisbon and Barcelona were cancelled. So we will check agian tomorrow to if the flights are flying and agian Thursday a.m. when we are schedule to leave.

We fly out tomorrow afternoon after making a connection in atlanta (with a 5 hour preflight layover)! Anyone on that flight?

It's been a stressful day at work but I'm about to put my extended voicemail & email on and forget all about work until June 1! Our flight tonight (and HelenMartinez) is about an hour late but looks like we'll get to London just fine. We'll worry about the leg from London to Barcelona later since we don't fly out until Friday!! Hope everyone has a safe and smooth journey to the ship and see you all then!

We actually leave at 5 pm on flt 114. We'll pave the way for ya! If I can find wifi there I'll update otherwise I'll see everyone there. Last day at work today which is good because I'm checked out mentally. Good luck on everyones travels! I'm so glad we arranged earlier travel. Hopefully its spent touring a sunny Barcelona!

Since you are going thru Phili, is your flight going to Lisbon, then to Barcelona? We are going to Phili on Thurs, then to Lisbon, then arrive in Barcelona Friday night.
