what would the crowds be like for last week in May and first week of June, compared to Spring Break times.

For the last two years we have gone sometime around May 23rd and stayed 7-10 days, it was deserted compared to Spring break!!! You'll have a great time and nice weather.

I have heard that spring break times can be quite crowded (I've only been once at this time, and it was as a spring breaker, so I wasn't exactly concerned with crowd size then ).
As far as the last week of May/first week of June goes, according to my Unofficial Guide most days look like they're rated as 8's and 9's for crowd level. That means peak waiting times can range from 75-84 mins (an '8'), to 85-94 mins (a '9'). I'm not sure how accurate their predictions end up being, but I'd think at least part of the time would be a little bit more crowded, due to Memorial Day weekend. According to UG, it looks like parts of March (the 19th-end of month) are rated as 10s (waits of 95+ mins), so that must be a peak Spring break time. I personally would go in May, just because I'm trusting UG, and it seems less packed

This is what we have done every May: I homeschool my oldest DS and my DD is in public and DS #2 is in preschool so this works for us.
Our school system lets out on May 25,'06 this year so I would probably pull my DD out of school on May 22, May 23, and the half day on May 24. They aren't doing any school work as grades have already been turned in by that time so she is only missing video watching. We would leave for WDW on 5/20 and arrive on 5/21 (we tow our camper so do it in 2 days). Then we would have several days before Memorial day weekend crowd and before the High School graduation crowds. We did go over Mem Day wknd this yr but compared to spring break of March '04 the crowds were nothing.
Now this is all hypothetical as this trip later this month will be the last one for a while.
What are your dates and ages of kids, if any?

actually they are grand kids age 15 & 14 the 14 yr old one has 8th grade graduation on May 26 so plan on as soon as party is over pulling out. We took them last year during spring break and it was packed we thought, so figured we would go back and try to catch what we missed last time.

Well you'll be arriving just in time for a fun and crowded holiday weekend! (Smile!). We've been there over Mem Day wknd too (2005), I think in (2004) we missed it. The parks will be crowded that weekend but I think they will clear out a little when you get back into the week (Tues-Thur). I think I have read here before that it is pretty slow thru the first week of June so maybe you'll be good. Like I said, we've been at that time before and didn't think it was a problem. We just avoid MK on the weekend!
