First off Happy Birthday!!! This seems to happen to us whenever we are about to celebrate my son's bday - he comes down with something nasty and we have to postpone his party til our house comes out of quarantine!! Last year was awful - we all got Norovirus around new year- throwing up and diarrhea everywhere and our house was in lock down for months - yep months....and we disinfected everything so many times and still people got sick from our house.. we celebrated his bday a month later thinking all would be ok but 2 kids and one adult got sick....then my sis came when I gave birth to DD in march and she got it! So when my brother was going to visit I told him he had to go stay at a hotel - I really didn't want him to get sick too. May seem harsh but we really did clean everything and bleach everything multiple times but Noro is real hard to get rid of and can stay on surfaces for 21-28 days and some people say longer and you can poop it out of you for up to 22 days too even if you feel better! I really was so sad and it made my last few months of my pregnancy real tough as we couldn't have visitors or people round to help coz I really didn't want to pass germs. So long story short - enjoy your immediate family around you, have a great bday and blessed thanksgiving!(and try not to think of all the bugs that might live in your colon - that alone is such a scary thought it makes it's a bugs life's dung beetle a hero in comparison!) Oh by the way..I think our house is safe now....just in case anyone is worried that the scrapbook stuff is contaminated! (I do not keep Bazzill in the bathroom!) It's late I gotta sleep!
