May Hours

I'm a little bummed that during the days we will be there May 18- 24 there will be no fireworks at MK or e-ride nights. We will be looking forward to seeing Illuminations from CBR at least. Still can't wait for an awesome magical trip with my fam!:earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Could someone please provide a direct link to where I can find the hours? I seem to be experiencing brain freeze!

csmommy, you have to call CRO or WDTC and they will give the hours to you.they have not yet been posted.also on the attractions board i have a thread running over there that has alot of hours on it.:p

You can view Tenative May Hours at Deb's site wdwig.com

Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon will also be limited in hours according to the times here.

I went to disney.com and sent an email to disney voicing my disappointment in no fireworks and Spectromagic during our entire stay in Regular Season. I'm sure it will do no good, but I got it off my chest.

I know some have said that they are not going to let this ruin their Disney trip, which I don't intend to do either, but some of us save for years to do 1 trip up really well. Not to have what we expected and told our kids they could look forward to is just sad.

Now I will move on...perhaps with a little less magic...but still with much anticipation of the magic that awaits!

Bummer! Like they didn't keep us waiting FOREVER for the May hours and then no Spectro? As it was I had to totally guess what PSs to make, guessing Spectro might run at least on Saturdays...We're only going for a long Star Wars weekend, and I really wanted Spectro to be running for the kids. It wasn't last two trips we've been. DARN! Guess we'll never see it again.
Venting...venting...Venting...
Shan:)

I guess venting is what these boards are for sometimes Shan. Our trip has been nothing but one bad experience after another. We have had to move our dates three different times. Everything from a wedding to a car accident has been thrown at us and now this. Yikes, I hope I'm not the one jinxing everyone. LoL

Csmommy wow your the only person i have seen that lives by me!!! MAY HOURS STINK:(

Except for no Spectro, these hours are actually better than last year. We went the first week last year and MK was 9 to 6 on most weekdays. Future World opened at 10:00am and World Showcase opened at 12:00 Noon last year. AK & MGM are the same.

How dare you speak something positive about Disneyworld park hours! ;)

Okay, I have been reading this post for 2 days now...sitting here quietly, and JUSTIFYING why they are cutting back...I will be there in May also, but I am trying to put things in perspective.

But now I am MADDDDD. How can they totally close a park??? Blizzard Beach/Typhoon Lagoon????? That means that when one park in open and one is closed that the open one will be PACKED!!!! Gee that should be ALOT of fun!!

One more thing....How do they justify closing EPOCT (FW) at 6pm. (I have never really understood this...but since I am already mad...I just decided to vent)

Thank you for listening!!!

Tracy

Okay-another dumb question...If typhoon lagoon is closed on Tuesdays at the beginning of May does that also mean no Surfing Lessons? (since I thought they were only run on Tues early am)

Hi! I think there is 1 other person from Westchester here also.

Luvinit

This is what I see about Epcot, so does this mean only part of Epcot closes early? If so, then I guess there will truly need to be a stratagy when visiting the park, Future World in the first & the the World Showcase.

Future World 9am-6pm, World Showcase 11am-9pm

I guess this shows how down the ressies are. Perhaps if more people book, then they will change the hours.

yes, FW closes at 6pm...than WS closes at 9pm. So stragaey is a good thing...but remember that is what most people do, so it tends to be crowded in FW around 9am-11am

Even though FW closes early, they usually keep Test Track, HISTA, Spaceship Earth & Innoventions open until 9:00pm. The rest of the attractions in FW were usually empty in the evening, so that's why they closed them early.

I've gone the past 3 Mays and am going May 9 to 16 this year, the only gripe I have is no Spectro, I expected it to run on Saturday night. They may still add it back. Last year they even added a second running on Saturday night when it got close to the date and extended closing from 9pm to 10pm.

 Funny thing...

ever notice..

Nobody ever believes a CM when the news is too good to be true, but, they are infallible when it comes to delivering bad news?

Guess I'll be optimistic till I see it 'officially' and even then will be hopeful until our May trip has come and gone...
