Dear Disney Friends,

Just got off the phone with the Disney Club inquiring about May hours. The CM told me they weren't available as of yet, I explained to him the aggravation of not being able to plan my itinerary until I know the park hours and show schedules. So I pressed him a bit and asked him to get more info for me if possible. He proceeded to put me on hold for a good 3 mins came back and told me he spoke with Guest Services and they told him that they would be available by the end of the month (Mon. 3/31) Lets keep out fingers crossed!

Regards,
Vince

Thank god!!!!!! I have been checking there site 2 sometimes 3 x's a day for a few weeks now. I'm not going till 5/24, but I feel bad for the people going the beginning of May. Thank you for the update.

:D

NP, hopefully they will be out sooner. I am going the beginning of May with 12 people (some of them first timers) and in charge of the intinerary, making it a magical trip and all the PS reservations so I am getting a bit nervous.

I wouldn't put much faith in whatever gets posted in terms of May hours. They have changed the posted April hours significantly enough to cause doubt in what is posted for any future month. If the war drags on and the economy continues to sputter, the bookings will be down and the hours will be less.

Too much uncertainty to have confidence in what is eventually posted.

I'd still rather be here lamenting the possibility of shorter hours then in some other country, like oh say, Iraq.

Regards.

My sister and her boyfriend are going the first week of May and I"m planning their entire trip. I keep checking needing those hours to get things in order.

This coincides with what I heard from a CM this week on the phone while trying to make priority seatings. We are going May 24th and I want to book a Fantasmic dinner package...she said they are telling guests to call back in April for those seatings (they aren't booking them now) so we talk about it and she said the May hours will be out prior to April 1st and that is the policy to get the hours out at least 30 days prior to the upcoming month! Now that doesn't mean they won't change them 100 times before we go, but it's a start for planning!!!

Thanks for the info! Well, only a couple more days I guess.... :p

We'll be visiting from the UK in May/June for the first time and can't wait.

I'm more than a little concerned though with all the talk of cutbacks (although probably not as much as the veterans who know what it was like before!). What I don't understand is why Disney think that cutting hours is an answer to poor attendance figures. Surely this is counter productive. I know one family who are coming in the Summer and specifically not visiting WDW for this very reason. Lets face it - Disney isn't cheap!!

By cutting hours of the parks, Disney saves on CM salaries. I'm going on May 3rd and have already made my itinerary and my PS. I just called Disney dining and if I wanted a late meal, they booked me at the last seating of the day. The last seating at 50s Prime Time was 7:30 PM and at Hollywood & Vine the last seating was 6:00 PM, if that gives you any indication of the possible hours. I doubt that we see MK openned any later than 8:00 PM if even then. Other than that, most of the other parks usually remain pretty much close to the same times (EPCOT closing at 9:00 PM and assuming AK will close at 5:00 PM). Fantasmic is only performed after sundown, so as long as there is the first showing, you have to assume MGM should be open until at least 8:00-8:30 PM.

I talked with a cm last night and she said May hours would be up either April 1st or 2nd.

Hi Tinks
We are also going May 24th and I was also thinking of doing a Fantasmic dinner on Monday the 26th. This is new to me though.
Last time you only had to eat a specific resturant in order to have seating for the show. Now I guess it's a dinner package. Have u done this before? Which is better Mama Melrose or Hollywood & Vine? Do u know the prices? Thanks for any help :)

One thing is, if Phantasmic is showing really early, like 7:30 or 8:00, then the seating time for the dinner package will be very early, like 5:00.

Also, the seating area is off to the side.

Come back closer to my arrival date? I leave in 35 days!!!!!!
