May Half Term Flight Prices

I am thinking of booking a surprise budget trip for my partners 40th.

We need to fly Sat 28th May until Sun 5th June. We are restricted to these dates. I was hoping to book a package but they seem quite expensive.

So its now flight only but I cant find anything reasonable as it is half term.

In direct is fine and I was hoping for below £500 per person with reasonable length flights of 13-15 hours.

Has anyone seen anything?

We are going May 28th to 4th June (land back 5th). Indirect MAN via Philly to MCO, decent times. I booked start of September £1236 for 2 adults and a child (10). I used skyscanner to search.

Who did you book through?

I checked again today and the package price has gone up again the second day in a row :0(

Im now looking at going the day before, so Friday 27th if I can find something cheap.

I thought my daughter had exams upto and including the friday so booked sat which we usually avoid for cost reasons. Exams turned out to be week before but never mind.

Ive just seen some okay ones with omega flight store via Skyscanner but Ive never heard of them before so Im a bit nervous!

Have you used travel up before?

Is your daughter in high school? Mine is in year 10 and im worried on her last day of term she might have a mock exam (which she will miss)

Ive found indirect with Virgin to Altanta and Atlanto to MCO with Delta for £1096 for 2 adults.

What do you think?

She's still at primary school. Would the school tell you if you asked?

No never used travel up but got e ticket and paid on cc. Flights with american airlines. Done MAN - Philly-mco route several times.

We did the delta mco to atlanta and virgin atlanta to manchester in October and it was fine would do again. Nice new style plane from Atlanta. We had a hiccup with 2 bags not making it but they delivered them to our house next day, we were a bit late into Atlanta from the first flight. Would honestly do again. International terminal at Atlanta was good, with an upstairs foodcourt area.

I usually budget £500 for indirect so price seems fine.

I booked a last minute May trip in 2014. Booked late February and got direct PE Virgin seats for £800 each and economy ones were about £600 each as I recall. Check daily and clear your cookies. I just got one of those random dropped prices days. Good luck.
