May Exercise Challenge- 38,344 minutes!!!

Despite the heat, I got in a 50 minute walk today and did a 30 minute Biggest Loser DVD to bring my total to:

1035/1200

- Laura

I think I have everyone updated to here. Please check your number and your color. :goodvibes

5/29 100 total
10 minute warm up walk/jog
30 minutes strength with trainer
60 minutes spin

1391/1700

That's Y class this morning and an hour of painting tonight after work. Will get my 3 mile walk in tomorrow morning and hopefully some painting before I sub in the afternoon. It got too dark to really tell, but I am dreadfully fearful it may need a 3rd coat. Can't wait for morning where I hope to discover I am wrong!

120 minutes packing/moving boxes for the big office move on Friday.

1135/1200 Glad to finally be on fire! :cool2:

I'm so impressed by everyone's hard work this challenge and spirit of never giving up and always moving forward. :thumbsup2

Congratulations on finishing your 1/2 Marathon! :cheer2:We have friends that live in Coeur d'Alene and love it!

Thanks! It is a great place to live -- I've lived here for over 20 years. This was my 4th half in 12 months thanks to all my WISHers who gave me to courage to start!

Hello, amazing May challengers! The new thread for June is up and running -- http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2933809
I hope it will be as inspiring as the one for May. See y'all there!

Thanks for hostessing June! :flower3:

And thank you again, Cam, for hostessing the last several challenges! You so totally :rockband:

Monday I had a bad day. Very long story short -- One tiny accident with flake food and I poisoned a saltwater tank of fish. I spent the day doing water changes and fish CPR. I lost 3. :sad2: It was not a happy day. Besides running with buckets full of water all afternoon, I got no exercise in!

Yesterday I did 20 minutes on the recumbent bike and 20 minutes of yoga.

New total:

1260/1400

Going to need to seriously step it up today and tomorrow to meet my goal!

Okay, inquiring minds want to know (no, we NEED to know). Does it need another coat? I hope not!

I am so sorry for your loss. BTW, I think lugging pails of water is certainly exercise.

I had a 45 minute workout this morning with K, the torture master (also known as a "personal trainer") and then 35 minutes on a recumbent bike, bringing me to 1895/1800.

Good luck with the move, Lisa!!! I hope you like your new space. I think we'll need new pics of your Disney office when you settle in. :cloud9:

I am so impressed that you have done 4 half marathons in the past 12 months. That is awesome!! When is your next?

I havent checked in here in forever, and I can't even remember my goal minutes or my current minutes, but I did get 22 mins in last night on the treadmill! It was the start of ToT Race Training Season, so I had to get it in.

I think it's time to do this: *holds up three fingers, Girl Scout Promise style* On my honor, I will try, to work out every day, to stick to my training program, to stretch after every workout, and to reach my goals for June.

There, I said it. Now I have to do it!!! On to the June Thread I go!

So sorry about your fish. :sad1: I know what that feels like; I lost several fish to a dinoflagellate outbreak. Water changes in sw tanks is not an easy task - it's definitely work!

I am at 1644/1600. :goodvibes

I will probably run again tomorrow, but don't know if I will have time to post.

I haven't posted much this month but that added pressure of wanting to make my goal kept me on track. We were traveling for 9 days and did tons of walking, rented bikes, went kayaking twice and ran once. I love it that it is just assumed now that our vacations will be active. :)

Thanks for running the challenge this month Cam!:goodvibes

Thanks, Cam! :thanks: Next half is Sandpoint (Idaho) Scenic Half in September, followed by Wine & Dine and the Donald. :donald: Is the DL Half your next half?

I'm super impressed by all the folks going over their goal this month! :cool2:

Just 30 minutes today. C25K W5D2. I swear the app was going to have us do the same 3 sets of 5 minute jogs I did on Monday but nope! Two sets of 8 minutes! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be though. Friday will be 20 minutes with no walk breaks!!!

I stopped working out during the day on C25K days and that made a big difference. I can push my self the other 4 days a week. I also got new running shoes. I actually bought men's running shoes for the extra width. I always have a hard time finding shoes wide enough and honestly, who cares they are black with orange trim :scared:, they fit great, lol.

Had a good day today to make up for Monday.

30 minute walk (on the treadmill, it's pouring rain out!)
20 minutes of yoga
30 minutes free step on the Wii Fit.

New total:

1340/1400

It's going to be down to the wire, but I can make it to my goal tomorrow!
