just finished making PS for our may trip. i have a concern, if you will, about one of the times. trying to be a little different this trip, we booked our meals a little later. at brown derby we booked 6:00 which is the last seating of the night. is this a bad time? should i reschedule the time for earlier? how is the service and food quality at "closing time?" thanks! BTW, the CM told me the restaurant is closing early that day, but fantasmic is at 8:30.

It is probably closing early for some type of special group function...so the food should be fine....even though you are the last public seating of the day I am betting it will remain open for some special group event so the kitchen help won't be on their way out the door!!

Are you going around the time of the opening of the 50th celebration on May 5th? Seems many places are closing early.

However I'm going the next week and have a Fantasmic package booked for the 11th I think and they had no seatings even listed in the system past 6pm. However I think those seatings will open up once the park hours are set. I had this happen on our last trip 2 years ago - about 30-60 days beforehand all these places opened up seating after 6pm and it was easy to book. I think my seating now for Fantasmic is something like 4:30 I don't want to eat quite THAT early. I'd take your 6pm seating though!
