MAY Countdown!! This is it, folks

I also have my BB reservation now, and PF Chang's too! Those will be my only reservations, I hope that all restaurants will be quiet after Spring Break finished... the calm after the storm.
It's so surprising to me that in 3 weeks and 2 days I'll be in San Diego. I feel that I'm in an impasse right now..

I made reservations for Big Thunder Ranch BBQ on the 29th. Gofffy's Kitchen for April 30th. My birthday. On May 1st we also have reservation at BBB for all 4 of my oldest girls!! It's a surprise! They will be so excited!!:cool1:

Yay!!! I am super excited about our family trip in May. We will be there from May 6-11 and staying at the Park Place Inn :thumbsup2

Any idea when the rest of the May calendar will be up? I'll be in Anaheim the 21st-23rd, maybe the 24th and I plan to spend some time in the parks, but I'd like to know what's going on those dates.

Is that the one on Katella? If so, it's no-frills (as are many in the area), but definitely not nasty. :thumbsup2 I found the walk to be too much with my girls, but other than that, I'd stay there again.

Yes thats the one! Oh good, not nasty :thumbsup2 ooh no, is the walk really that long? On the map it looked real close. Did you drive? How did you find the parking at the hotel to be?

Add me to the list please!:goodvibes

We will be there May 8 thru the 13th and staying at the BWPPI. DS's 9th birthday is on May 9 th so we are surprising both of our kids with this trip.

We will be at DLR for 3 days and then one day at Legoland.

I have reservations at Goofy's Kitchen on the 9th, Cafe Orleans on the 10th and BBB (for DD) on the 11th.

This is a very last minute trip as I booked it all tonight! Usually we plan a year out! Actually, we were planning to go next year after Carsland opened but decided we couldn't wait until then!;)

Patience!!! They're doing it one day at a time, right now they have until the 19th, and the entertainment will be placed after they put down the hours. I know it's hard, I wasn't patient al all! ;) but it did come out. Aladdin wasn't on Friday May 4th, but I had to wait and now they're showing it.
You will have to wait 7-10 days more :surfweb:

Guess it'll give me something to do each day. :surfweb:
LOL

I'm eagerly waiting for the hours for May 20 and 21.

We'll be going to Disneyland May 17 - 22!!!!! Can't wait!!!! It'll be celebrating (and not-so-celebrating) our daughter's 3rd birthday.

The not-so-celebrating is because now we have to start paying for her. We've been able to get in quite a few WDW trips (and 2 Disneyland trips) before now. I know she'll be happy to have her own ticket. On the last trip to WDW, she would ask for her ticket. Since she's tall (and well spoken for her age), sometimes a CM would ask for her ticket as well.

Our last trip to Disneyland was 2 years ago (also in May). So we're very, very, very excited!!! I'm curious to see what my (if anything) my daughter remembers from 2 years ago...and if she gets Disneyland confused with MK since we've been to WDW multiple times she really seems to know her way around there! :rotfl: Actually, all she'll know is that she's at a Disney park and is happy. :cloud9:

I'm VERY excited for the new (World of Color, Mickey's Soundsational Parade) and unique (Aladdin show, Matterhorn...oh, wait that's under refurb! ) attractions and shows to Disneyland!!!

Now, need to finalize hotel accommodations for the trip...then do laundry...pack... Is it May yet????
:goodvibes

It is tough, because I'm an OCD planner and I have to know how much money I'll need to set aside. It's less than 2 months away and I just don't know if I'll want to go to any shows at DTD, or even if there will be any. I also need to decide whether to add that extra day so I can make sure the hotel has availability. It just depends on what will be happening on those days.

Just confirmed our stay in Anaheim for May 19th-24th, at a vacation home rental (a real lifesaver for a special needs kid in our party). Can't wait! :thumbsup2

I'm like you! Last trip in 2010, and didn't get to see all the shows!
Welcome to the thread! Your dates are added as well :thumbsup2

ArchOwl, my pleasure to have you on this thread! (good posts out there). Your dates are on too :goodvibes

We are going for our first time EVER! We are actually staying in San Diego but plan to drive up for a day at Disneyland- we just couldn't stand the thought of being that close and not seeing it!

I am thinking we'll be there May 16th :).

Once spring break is done next week, I plan to be going at random times throughout April and May (on the weekends). I'm super excited to go, because I recently moved down to California and this will be the first time since I've been down here.

My goal is to be there the last 2 weekends in April and probably the last two in May. Once June rolls around.. it's going to be super busy. :)

So it's looking like 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/16..

Ugh. My dates are the very LAST dates of May and this calendar is taking forever to come up. My big question is Fantasmic. We are only going to be there late Sunday night through Friday so currently we would miss it. But I could stay later Friday night to see it, though I don't really want to since we have a very early morning flight Saturday. I was hoping since it's Memorial Day on Monday it might show on Monday. Anyone know my chances?

I'm running out of time to buy the cheaper on-line tickets and have them sent to me and I'm trying to figure out how many days we need. I'd love to only do 4 day tickets with our fifth day for touring LA but if I have to I'll buy 5 days and just squeeze LA into 2 Disneyland days. Seeing Fantasmic so we can compare it to WDW's is pretty important to us so I'm willing to go out of my way to do it.

Im hoping the same thing as we arrive on Memorial day. I am under the impression that since Memorial day is a holiday that F! will play and am already planning on seeing it that night as Thursday will be our last day in the park. We have one week to wait for the calender to reach that day though and find out for sure. But I feel your pain.

Does anyone know when they will start showing F! during the week again? I have read that Memorial day is usually considered the start of the summer for DL but does that mean longer park hours and more shows that week?

Wow, suddenly we only have 30 days until DL instead of five months!! Boy, that came up fast!

I love putting things together a little at a time, just to draw out the anticipation. My family of six will be there May 8-11, after three days in San Diego.

I've only been to DL once, 22 yrs ago, when I was 19. DH has been to DWD once but never DL. Our kids are 11,10,7,and 4 and I'm hoping they'll leave with awesome memories!!

We're staying at the Desert Palm Inn and Suites and hope the walk isn't too hard on the 4 yr old. I REALLY wanted to stay at the DLH but we'd have to get a suite and I couldn't justify $640/night!:scared1:

Oh boy Oh boy Oh boy am I excited!!!

almost there. :)

only one day in DL before the cruise, but we also have one day on hollywood blvd and lunch at the soda fountain. plus i'm back for a week in june to enjoy carsland!
