MAY Countdown!! This is it, folks

I just have to say because I can barely contain myself! Today it will be 30 days until we return to visit the MOUSE!!!!!:cheer2: It's been 755 days since Dh and visited and 1050 days since the girls saw the MOUSE!!! YEAH! :woohoo:

I hope I did the math right!:rotfl:

I feel that! We're exactly 2 months away from our return to Disneyland, and for my husband and I it has been 20+ years since we've been (both separately, as kids) so I'm definitely EXCITED! Of course I came home and was bouncing around and I asked my husband "do you know what is exactly 2 months from today?" and he had no idea, lol. He's leaving all the planning up to me, once he remembered to get vacation time approved from his job, he forgot the dates, haha.

On a side note: hopefully those of you who will be at the parks for the first of the grad nights will report back to us so those of us going later in the month will have a better idea of what to expect. Plus, trip reports are always fun! :D

I don't think I will encounter any Grad Nights. But I know that our Teachers just let the kids run amuck. Back in the day 1996 to be exact! :lmao: BUT when I was a kid or high schooler what ever you would like to call it. There weren't any park visitors we went after they closed down the park to everyone else and it was just the different schools. I didn't actually end up there that night many years ago I got a terrible flu and was in the ER. It would have been my first visit ever to DL. But instead I went for my 30th B-day 3 years ago and fell in LOVE!

We (DH and I) just booked May 11-13th at Tropicana. I know that Friday is a Grad night, we are prepared for it. At least we will have Saturday morning when they all sleeping. :)
And we will be back in Oct. :)

My DH and I will be there May 9th - 12th, staying at Park Vue Inn. Can't decide if i'm more excited to finally be done with school, or to go to Disneyland? (i'm leaning more towards DL,)
:lmao: let's go DL!! Welcome, added your dates!

:goodvibes they surely will be sleeping, have fun!! Your dates are also added.

DD(11) and I are coming down May 16-23, staying at the Carousel Inn! :)
Sitkamom, hi again! :cheer2: I put down your dates too!

We decided to change our hotel to the Paradise pier hotel (celebrating both DW and my BD and our wedding anniversary which is the reason for the splurge).

Almost went with DLH but they misquoted the upgrade price so when I said I wanted to switch the price jumped because they forgot to add DD to the reservation so the price they gave me was for 2 adults only.

Darn because DW (and me too to be honest) had fallen in love with what we saw of the DLH. But we couldn't justify the big price difference. So PP it is.

coaches24: you're lucky! I also wanted to go either DLH or PP, but we have a Kids Suite at HoJo's with the Ent Rate.. and I couldn't justify the hundreds of dollars' difference, so it was a nono :sad2:
So enjoy the PP and tell us how did it go!
I changed your hotel in Post #1. :goodvibes

Haven't been reading much lately...

Still headed out to DL in May. Got our plane tickets...JetBlue out and Virgin America back. Spending 2 nights at the HoJo. We'll do one day at DL and Surf's Up with Mickey for breakfast. Kids are only 2 and 3 so we are just going to take it easy and not worry about trying to see everything.

Then we are spending 2 nights on the beach in Carlsbad...we'll hit up Legoland for one day.

Then down to San Diego for the Zoo, Seaworld, Cabrillo, and maybe the USS Midway.

Got a great deal on Seaworld tix at retailmenot dot com.

We are booked! April 28-May 4th at the Staybridge Suites. Just purchased 4 day hopper tickets for the kids and DH and I AP's since we will be returning for our 10yr anniversary in Sept. We are planning on telling the kids on Easter, though haven't quite figured out how just yet.

I am so excited and it's been so hard keeping it from the kids so far because all I want to do is talk about DL :) 3 1/2 weeks to go, yay!

Hello! Can you add me please? We are going May 12-16th and staying at DLH for my daughter's 4th birthday!! Can't wait!!!!!! Should be interesting with an 8 month old ;)

all right I now have my hotel booked. May 7-10 at Super 8 Anaheim. The reason I opted for this very low price (and probably nasty) hotel is so I could save up money to stay at the Magic Castle hotel on Thursday night and get a dinner reservation at the exclusive Magic Castle. I will then be checking out Thursday night and be looking for another hotel near DL for a one night stay so we can spend a day in the parks on Friday May 11.

My plan for May 11 is to get the phone app about last minute hotel stays (forget the name right now). It is my fervent wish that I will be able to book something awesome by DL. And if not...I guess I'll wing it.

I put the hotel name for you. :thumbsup2

Starting to get more and more excited. It has been over three years since DH and I took a trip by ourselves, and the fact that we are headed to our favorite place is amazing! :cool1: Waiting for the calendar is getting difficult...up to the 16th now, but still waiting for my days to pop up.:surfweb:

I'm doing a solo trip and will be there from May 7 to May 9. I'm thrilled that Disneyland is open until Midnight on both weekend knights. I'll be spending basically every waking hour at the parks. I'm staying at the Red Lion. I've heard mixed reviews, but I'm sure it will be fine for what I need.

We stayed there when it was still the Radisson and really liked it.

We'll be there May 13 -16 for our last trip with our APs. Where we stay depends on whether my parents come or not. If they come with, Del Sol, if not, Hojo!

Is that the one on Katella? If so, it's no-frills (as are many in the area), but definitely not nasty. :thumbsup2 I found the walk to be too much with my girls, but other than that, I'd stay there again.

I finally managed to get around to making my dining reservations for Disneyland. I have a 8:00 AM breakfast reservation at Steakhouse 55 on May 15th, a 8:00 AM breakfast reservation at Story Teller's Cafe on May 16th and a 6:00 PM dinner reservation on May 17th At Steakhouse 55. I could not believe that I got everything precisely when I wanted it. I was in two minds about breakfast at Goofy's Kitchen, but figured given the time we have at Disneyland, this is a bit much.

wow, just made reservations for BBB and AG for our first day in the parks (May 28). Cant believe we are within our 60 day window. Time needs to fly by now. Both DW and myself cant wait to go (DD has been begging to go back since the last trip).
