Hi all - I'm mostly a lurker but thought I'd go ahead and get on the list. We'll be in the parks May 6-9. It will be myself, DH, DS (who will have just turned 5) and my mom. We're staying at the Desert Inn & Suites.

We were there pretty much the same dates last year too. I saw a few of you were asking about the Aids Walk on Sunday, May 6 and how it was going to affect DLR that day. I can tell you how it worked last year. Both parks opened at their regular time but there was no Magic Morning, it was moved to Monday instead. It definitely was more crowded than the rest of our week there, but I think that may be typical for a Sunday and not necessarily extra crowds from the Aids Walk.

We're getting super excited for our upcoming trip! My DS is finally tall enough to ride SM, BTMRR and Splash.

But hold your horses, only May 1st has been announced. Every day one more May day will be filled, so be patient!
What I did noticed was the park hours, I was expecting 10-8pm at Disneyland, and it's now 9am-9pm!! Wow, would that mean more crowds?
But at least, 2 more Disney hours per day!! so not everything is lost.

Yea im still waiting for my hours. Wont get those until Mid/ late April. Since we are going to be there Memorial day and the week following I am hoping the hour will be either 8-10 or 9-9 like you are getting. But if we end up with 10-8 it will let us sleep in. Either way I will adjust to whatever we get, no worries.

A couple of things I noticed on post 15. One is you missed a grad nite date on May 30th. Looks like they have back to back GN on May 30th and the 31st.

Also about the fastpass enforcement. I still havent seen or heard anything about it being enforced in DL. WDW yes its already started apparently, but in DL they dont seem to be heading in that direction yet (Doesnt matter to me anyway but I thought I would point that out).

Hubby and I will be there in May too! It's just US going! We haven't gone on vacation without our kids ever! (And we became parents 13 years ago!)

We will be there May 3rd -May 8th! Staying further away at Best Western Plus Meridian Inn.

Omg...I am soooo excited! Almost time to book my fantastic dessert ressies- and then I will really feel like it's time to start packing! This trip is pretty much all DH and I can think about! I've been showing Mickey mouse clubhouse daily to my DD2 to get her used to seeing the classic characters ( even if they'll be much larger in person) and trying to get DD8 ahead in school to compensate for all the time she'll miss. Any of you getting ready yet? My brain is in DL already!

You're right, actually I missed a lot! It's now updated.
I also edited the FP Policies information, I've seen your name in one of the threads actually... I just wanted to notify the other May goers, since it might or not be enforced, I think it's better to go on the safe side and ask a CM once we arrive, so it won't catch us by surprise.

It's the first thing I think when I wake up and also the last when I go to sleep! So obssesed my own DD12 just rolls her eyes when I start talking about (our) my plans Fortunately, DH is beggining to catch on.
I have my Blue Bayou and PF Chang's reservations now, everything else will be as our mood goes. Got my tickets of course and read the DIS every day!
I've changed and review and delete and change again (our) my itinerary and then review it again (I have it on a spreadsheet).
6 weeks from today and I'm on the happiest place on Earth!!!

I'm suprising my DH for his 58th birthday and will be there May 1-8.

He has been many times but always with his kids in tow and not for the last 10 years so I'm hoping it will be new for him. No kids or grands this time so he will get to be the kid.

We are staying at the Embassy Suites and flying for the second time ever as a family!
AND we'll be there for my birthday!!

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the hours yesterday! WAHOO!!! BUT I have been twice before at this time of year and it really wasn't that busy at all! I have never waited more then 30 minutes for a ride! I love this time of year. I did see that on the second Indian Jones will be down and of course Matterhorn is down which I was going to try this year with my big girls! But as far as rehabs go this time around I am so stoked. When we went for our 10 year anniversary Peter Pan was down the whole time! I was so sad! It's my fav!
I'm already starting to pack and I went to the Disney store and got my girls matching Disney T-shirts and two rolling suitcases!! Super cute! I then put in a Disneystore.com order online to get Dh and me some shirts and Dd the really cute Minnie mouse back pack to match her suit case. I have also started a Disney drawer. Where I have been slowly getting things for the trip, from hand sanitizer to activities for the car ride, plan ride and hotel.
I'm so stinkin excited!! Anyone else? LOL!
What do you guys do to get ready?
