May Challenge

Has anyone heard of a May challenge yet? Went scrapping today and I got 6 pages done. I was so excited because I have not scrapped since Feb. Not that I think I would win this month, but I need some incentive. Since Feb, I have had 12 rolls of film developed and I just took 3 more in today. I have lots of work ahead of me so give me some motivation ladies.

Hi Sue,

I haven't seen a May challenge thread yet. Did you get a chance to work on the cruise pics? I thought I'd scrap this weekend as everyone was scheduled to be gone. Didn't work that way - didn't even walk into the room. But did get a bunch of other stuff done I needed to with DH.

I have not started my cruise pics yet. I am obsessive compulsive about doing things chronologically so I worked on Christmas yesterday. DH and I went to the WLHT radio Valentines Day party with Dave and Geri and took pics there so those will be next and then Dad's 60th birthday, then DS's birthday, then I can do the cruise. I did order some things from scrapyourtrip.com and I have been keeping my eyes open for other things. If I can get these other events done I think once I start my cruise book, I'll want to get it done. Just need to find the time.

DH starts to play golf on a league on Thursdays so that will be my night to scrap. Keli can watch the boys and I go to Scrapbook Outlet for four hours. Do you teach on Thursdays? If not, maybe we can get together and scrap. Can you scrap at SB 101? I would love to check it out. I wouldn't mind driving up there or if you were down here already we could go to SO. Let me know. Golf starts in 3 weeks and I'll have to see which nights the kids have ball games, but golf runs through July, so I have plenty of weeks to catch up on my pics.

Through the end of June Thursday nights are pretty well booked - teach through end of May and then a variety of things.

To tell the truth I have never scrapped at an LSS! I either scrap by my lonesome at home or with friend's at one of our homes!

Gotta run - need to head for a tennis match!

I only SB at LSS now. I have no room to leave things out at home and kids are always interupting. Plus, I never have to "wish" I had something to finish a page or not have certain colored paper. At Scrapbook Outlet they have the 6 foot tables and they keep a talley of what you use and you pay for everything before you leave. I usually spend about $5 everytime I go unless I buy a new album or page protectors. They also have a punch card, so after every $100 in purchases you get $10 in free merchandise. The only down side is lugging all my stuff there. I have a tote bag but it is very heavy, and I only bring the books I know I am going to use. This works for me, but I hope in the new house I am going to have a craft room with lots of lighing and a table and no people of the male gender allowed
