Sunday morning, May 18, get a wake up call at 630am.
DS there is movement, but little. DB is moving too, but also very little. DF is moving, just not in the right direction. I hop out and start getting ready. The day before we had gone to publix and gotten breakfast stuff to eat. DF is not into breakfast. My DS finally arises, and get him headed into the right direction. By this time we have iced the cooler and are headed out the door with our gear. We pack into my DB volvo and are on the way from the hyatt to the magic kingdom. We get onto the resort. My DF is in awe, her mouth is open, I tell her not to let the flies in. We go straight to the parking lot. I wanted her to experience the tram, but we got a good parking spot, and were able to park close enough to walk. Five minutes later I am videotaping her first entry into a disney world resort gift shop. Of course, we buy something. We have to wait about 15 minutes with the crowds before they open the gates to the monorail and ferry. We opt for ferry. Well, about this time, my DS starts with the I have it all attitude, and shows himself. I start yanking him downstairs for an attitude adjustment, and everyone is looking at me. He is screaming I'll be good! This would be one of many displays of children, well, showing their
glorified sides. I was relieved to find out my DS was not the only one to act this way. After briefly consulting with the gods, I resolved to start a better day. We could see the castle across the seven seas lagoon.
We were dropped off, and entered, and got a locker under the main street depot. I would be carrying the backpack and video camera. We stopped at guest relations-no beauty and the beast character greeting today. We headed down main street, and went thru the frontierland hub. Well, right away, there were three characters we hadn't got before, so delayed 15 minutes there. Then off to splash mountain, and big thunder mountain. We would soon see a seating pattern, with DS sitting with me, and DF with DB. DF was not too happy as she would be wanting to do some rides with dad. I would find myself on occasion asking "honey, what's wrong". LET ME TELL YOU ONE THING, AT THE MOST HAPPIEST PLACE IN THE WORLD YOU DO NOT ASK HONEY, WHAT'S WRONG! She just didn't get it. Oh well.
We stopped off in the splash mountain gift shop, for a few gifts-critters- and DS shows up with about $50 in stuff in his hands. We opt for package pickup. Remember the locker? It will come in handy later. We are off the jungle cruise, and run into captain hook. Good photo, then he plays with DS briefly. We ride, then onto Pirates. DS is afraid of dark, starts screaming bloody murder, hangs back. CM says it's ok, I tell my son you've been on this at least two times now, let's just get it over. After the battle, he is somehow coerced into sitting with his head covered. We disembark and get our first view of the alladin ride. Beyond the fence it is in motion, carpets asailing. I ask a CM, when it's open. She says, we hear this, we hear that. I know we will return friday afternoon. So we grab some more gifts, and go on the swiss tree and the tiki birds. We are out of adventure land and go to country bears. We are yea haa ing in minutes. Camera is starting to get a little heavy. DF wants to go on haunted house, so DB stays with DS. She is thrilled to be on ride with dad. We are ghouled out and hit fantasy land. Ah, the patter of little feet, and big feet.
Yes, there are lines. Well, look at this peter pan is 30 minutes, dad smiles and says fastpass. I get mine, and we go on small world. We get on carousel and then lion king. I rush over to get pooh bear fastpass, as our peter pan fp time has started allready. We ride peter pan, loaded in five minutes. We then go to ariel, no water at the waiting area. The kids don't look too happy, just sulking around. While waiting for pooh fp, we go to character greeting, small line, but still a little wait. We do pooh bear, again in five minutes, and load onto honey pot.
