Just checkin' in on you. How's the weather? Any more snow? I hate to post this but it's supposed to get to 73 today. I can tell we're in for a hot Summer if our temps are this high in February.

No more snow in the past week. I can't believe it! It is 51 degrees right now! Tomorrow it may get almost to 60. It is going to get cool again, though.
73 sounds wonderful!!! I need to move South.

Things here have been busy and I haven't been sleeping well. I feel completely exhausted today & I have a sore throat. Thank goodness for the long weekend. I wanted to figure out an organized way to post Disney photos, so I decided I would post my favorite photos from 2 trips in 2008 today.

So far I haven't made any more plans, but I am seriously leaning towards not renting a car and also skipping Universal/IOA. I really just want to relax on this trip. I'm seriously considering doing the "Wild Africa Trek" at Animal Kingdom, too. I'm just not sure about that pricing, though. Have any of you done that yet??

Hi, Connie! I'm SO happy that it is warm today. I really get tired of the winter & it depresses me more & more every year. That is great that your winter ends by March. One year here we got 2+ feet of snow on April Fools Day- I think it was mid-late 1990's. I'll definitely be retiring in the South!! Enjoy your nice, sunny day!

That's good that your leaning towards no car/Uninveral and relaxing...I know what you mean about the depression this time of year. My dad passed 4 months ago, so that, on top of the weather we have been having is not a good combination for me. I so need Spring...

I'm SO bummed- I am really sick today (just a head cold), but I am determined to spend time outside!!! If it is going to be 60 degrees, I'm not going to miss it.
Thanks for the compliment about the photos! I really always wanted to be a photographer, and I took a class in college- BUT I got pretty discouraged when they mentioned that it was more likely that we would end up taking photos for Sears or Walmart rather than National Geographic. So now my strategy is- take a billion photos & I know at least one will come out good!!
I'm really sorry about your Dad. I definitely can relate to loss- It has been terrible for my family for years. It seems like we don't get a break from it. We most recently lost my cousin, Tim (who was more like a brother) at age 29 at the end of August. His son is going to be 3 in April. It is just awful. This time, I actually learned a lesson, though. All this time (losses spanning the last 7 years) I was trying to not be emotional. In August, I was so stressed out from work and financial issues, that there was no way that I could hold in the emotion I felt at Tim's services. I just let EVERYTHING out. I was angry and I cried the entire time. I used to hold it all in because I didn't want people to see me cry. After I let all of it out, I felt relief. It was so strange- it made everything easier to just allow myself to feel the loss. I just wish someone told me in 2004 when we started losing family members. I'm not saying it still doesn't hurt when I think about it, but it definitely has allowed me to think more clearly. Wow! I'm sorry that I went ON and ON about that! I should have stopped at "I can relate".

Can't wait to see your shoe pics. I went shoe shopping yesterday for summer sandals and had no luck. I am hoping by getting ready for spring/summer it will arrive quicker. Guess I'll keep trying!! LOL

I had pretty good luck at DSW online. Did you get snow this morning? We ended up with a few inches here this morning. After the 60 degree weather Friday, this snow is THAT much worse.

I know I promised a shoe post...So I will share the shoes I bought at DSW online first.
I got a couple of pairs of boots:

I can wear those to work. Then I bought a few pairs to wear at Disney while going out for dinner:

And these are my favorite. They have little rhinestones all over them. The white background is just from the cardboard they put inside the shoe to keep its shape.

These are the shoes I usually bring to go out to dinner. The purple ones have this tiny buckle that is SO hard to fasten. You can see that the blue ones are pretty beat up- the lining is starting to come off. I think I have worn the leopard ones every trip for the past few years, so it is definitely time for something new!

And this is a pair that I bought, but I am literally afraid to walk in them! I'm a total idiot for buying them. It was an impulse buy last winter!

So there are the shoes. Does anyone know of a good shoe rack? I need to find one because my shoes need to get organized. Right now, they are literally in a pile. Not good storage on my part...but I just have no room for them!

Thanks!! My tolerance for heels is definitely going down. I can only wear them for a couple of hours instead of the whole day.

How did I miss your post??? I can only wear heels to work (because I'm sitting down most of the day) or out for a couple of hours. I don't think John will care if I stop wearing them because heels make me taller than him.

I'm really hating waking up to 5 degree weather outside. I hope it is warm enough Friday so that we get ALL rain instead of snow/rain. I'm literally going to go insane if we get more snow!

I was laughing so hard I almost forgot to comment on the Wild Africa Trek. I think that's a great choice since you were able to go to Universal a little while ago.
