May at FW Cabins ******THE TIME IS HERE ******

I'm glad you got the cake ordered. I hope it's as delicious as it sounds! I was going to order a cake for Mike and I for our anniversary, but because we are doing the DxDP, I don't think we'll need cake too! I'm thinking of ordering some chocolate covered strawberries though! YUM! I think I'll call next week!

Thank you. I must say if this cake is bad I will most likely have a melt down in the restaurant.............:sad1::mad::rotfl:
I think you are right. I don't think you will need a cake with the DxDP. The regular plan had way too much food for us last year and we are big eaters. I would love the strawberries too, I just can't justify the price as I would most likely be the only one eating them.....lol.

I had booked the Seralago for our Friday night stay when we drive down. Well, yesterday I received an email from them stating even though they are a pet friendly hotel the room I had booked was not a pet room. Now I called Wednesday and confirmed everything. The man I spoke with did not mention that our furry family member could not stay in the 2 bedroom suite. They offered 2 standard rooms, so I did the only thing a good Disney mom would, I cancelled the room all together........:surfweb::lmao:.

Now what are we gonna do? We are 6 weeks out and have nowhere to stay Friday night? I just have no idea what to do . So I went on AAA, hotels.com, tripadvisor.com and started looking for something. And after much disappointment and frustration, I hit the jackpot. I got 2 rooms at ASMo preferred rooms for $93 each so we will have to move rooms but we were going to have to do that anyway. Oh I called and asked about just adding that night to our cabins but she said there was no openings. I am going to call in the morning and see if we can have adjoining rooms.

If this rant doesn't make since it is because I have taken my sleeping pill and it is starting to kick in. I will up date more later.

I spoke with Dana today at the kennel to add the extra day to Niko's reservation. I am getting so excited. I still can't believe how cheap the rooms are at ASMo for that one night. I want to do something when we get there now................:lmao:. I really want to find a cheap rental car now.

Congrats on getting rooms at ASMO and here's to hoping that you can get the room request that you want! I just remembered that I didn't make a building request for POR! AGHHH!!! I better remember to do that.

I was surprised at the price on Hotels.com. On Disney's site it is $141 for 3 adults, and $129 for 2 adults and one child. We will only be staying one night but the price is as good as I could find for a suite off property or 2 rooms OP. We stayed at ASMo the first time we all went as a family and I think it will be fun.

Now I have confirmed our ressie for Niko for Friday thru Saturday. For some reason Dale does not want to enjoy in my fanatisism. I also called Disney dining and made an ADR for Tyler and me at Yak and Yeti for 1230 May 19th. I can't believe they still have ressies. On some of the threads they are talking about how busy everything is, but I have only had one problem with ADR's and that was for a Tea at GF and the next time I called it was very easy to make that ADR. I am so excited about this trip. :dance3::yay::cheer2:

I'm with you-so excited for a May trip. I'm hoping that all the talk about obnoxious crowds is just a bunch of hype. I didn't have any problems my ressies with the exception of a CM booking the wrong day for BBB. I hope after spring break is over that they re-evaluate and bring the numbers down again. Got my fingers crossed. ;)

Me too :thumbsup2. I think the crowd numbers are way inflated. With less CM's at the rides it may seem like more people are there, but by the availability of rooms it shows that they are not so busy, which is fine with me:thumbsup2.

I am up way too late. But, I can't wait to try Yak and Yeti. I think it will be so much fun to have a special lunch with Tyler. I didn't invite anyone but him. The rest of the gang can go and do what ever they want to. We are going to enjoy our lunch :lovestruc.

:thumbsup2 All Right for Friday night at all star movies!!!!!!! You must be excited, it sure does beat staying anywhere else.

Yes, it does . I have got to sit down and redo my cards for some of my plans. Amanda asked me last night to please not change anything else :rotfl:.

Great news on the hotel room. We actually had some issues with Adr's. But I kept calling and Ohana finally opened up. 1900 Park Fare never did, though. We will survive... We still have CRT and Chef Mickeys to tide us over. I couldn't get into Yak and Yeti the day I wanted. If you are flexible I think they have some openings. Just maybe not the day we had planned for that park! Well I need to go wrap Austins birthday presents.

I can't believe they still have open rooms this close to our trip. I hope Yak and Yeti is good. Tyler and I are the only ones in my family that will eat that type of food.....lol. I hate that you couldn't get in 1900 or Yak and Yeti. If you keep trying maybe they will open up. You were lucky to get CRT though, that is one that most people can't get into. We have ph tickets so we can always go over and eat and then leave.

You are one busy lady with all you have going on right now ::cake: :bday: AUSTIN party:

So far these are our plans:

Thursday, May 14th
Pick up rental van and make sure we are all packed.
I will have to pick up my paycheck and get it to the bank.
Finalize house cleaning and make sure there are no dirty clothes
I will have a weeks worth when we get home :scared1:.
Matt is going to spend the night and we will order pizza for dinner.
Try to get some sleep :rolleyes1.

Friday, May 15th
Up at 5am to get Dale off to work.
Get the ice chest ready for our drinks and pack baggies of snacks.
Load the van.
Wait for Dale to get home from work so we can hit the road. He is going to try and get off at 10:30 or 11:00am and it takes him about 45 minutes to get home.
I hope to be on the road by 12pm. That will put us in Orlando about 10:30pm.
It isn't a 10 1/2 hour drive, but with all the stops for breaks and the fact that we lose an hour crossing the Apalachicola River it comes out to about 9 hours.
Check into our rooms at ASMo and then head over the FW kennel to drop Niko off.
Get back to the rooms and shower and rest.

Saturday, May 16th
Up early and check out.
Head to McDonalds for breakfast.
Then on over to FW to see if we can check into our cabin. If we can Dale will go to the kennel to take care of all of Niko's paper work and walk him. When he gets back we will head to MK.
Amanda and I have a 3:20 tea time at the Garden View. And the boys are on their own. We will meet back up after the tea and go from there.

That is what I have so far.

Wow, lots of checking in and checking out, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!!! I emailed my travel lady to upgrade to a cabin for may, I'm thinking it'll be about 50 or 60 bucks for the whole thing to upgrade, I could be wrong...I emailed her a few days ago and she hasn't gotten back to me. So who knows, we might be neighbors!!! LOL But, sounds good so far!!!

That would be great, if you were :thumbsup2. Dallas would love having someone his age close by and we would have someone to share that massive cake with :rotfl: I tried to add the one extra night to our ressie, but the CM said it would be at full price so over $400 for just a few hours :scared1. I said never mind and we will stay at ASMo.......:lmao: We usually stay the first night off property and we pack a little overnight bag. I was able to get the 2 rooms at Disney for what an off property room was going to cost so I said what the hay...............lol.

Saturday, May 16th Con't
After Amanda and I have tea, and we meet back up, we will most likely head back to the cabin. If we couldn't check in earlier we will do so at this time.
We will make a Walmart run to get stuff for the week.
Maybe go to the pool for a while and then to the campfire. The movie schedule isn't out yet so we will see what that will be.
Wishes is at 10pm so we may make it down to the water front and watch the fireworks from there.

Sunday, May 17th
We have ADRs for Chef Mickeys for 10:50 so we will probably sleep a little late as it is evening EMH at MK. Dale, Dallas, Tyler and I have this ADR as Matt and Amanda did not want to join us for this. They have Dallas down as celebrating his birthday so I am waiting to see if they bring him the cupcake.
We will meet back up with Amanda and Matt and go to MK for the day.
It is the DIS meet at Epcot so I may have to break away by myself for that.
Head back to MK. Plan on closing the park.
Non Disney-Today is Armed Forces Day. I will wear red, white and blue.

Monday, May 18th
We will get up early and eat breakfast in the cabin.
Our plans for today include Dallas' birthday lunch at Sci-Fi at 1:40. This is also evening EMH at the Studios so that falls in great. We can run the cake back to the cabin and then back to HS for EMH.

Tuesday, May 19th
Up early today, eat breakfast in the cabin.
Tyler and I have ADRs for Yak and Yeti at 12:30 so today is AK day. Matt and Amanda have ADRs for Planet Hollywood at 2:30 so they will leave us at this point to go eat. We may go over to DTD because by this point in time we will have done everything in AK that we want to do. Well, that is as long as the park is not too crowded. We may go to Illuminations tonight.

Wednesday, May 20th
Up early and eat in the cabin. Head over to Epcot. We may miss Epcot EMHs as they seem to fall when we are doing other things.
Dale and I have ADRs for 7:20 at Grand Floridian Cafe. We will just play it by ear as we still have 2 more days.

Thursday, May 21st
No set plans. Fantasmic tonight so we may head over to HS for that.

Friday, May 22nd
It is Star Wars Weekend at HS so Dale may want to go back to see that. It is evening EMH at Epcot, but we will get up very early to head out tomorrow.
Non Disney-It is National Maritime Day and I have a special nautical outfit to wear today.

Saturday, May 23rd
Up early, eat and head home :sad1::sad2:. It seems sad to write but I am usually ready to get home.

Now involved in all this is NIKO BREAKS....................:lmao:.

Your days look great! Looks like a wonderful family vacation! I don't even want to think about the end of vacation and coming home. :sad2:

Thanks :goodvibes :)

I know it is so sad, but..................I do have October :thumbsup2.

I am glad we are getting close to the May trip. I am closing in on one of my lows for some reason :sad2:. I seem to have them at the strangest times. I guess I flow with the seasons? Anyway, I hope everyone sticks to my plan, like I have said before, they always change..................:confused3
