It was awesome! I made an egg hunt, and there were clues along the way. Every few clues there would be a big egg with something Disney related in it (they know we are going to WDW in August, so they assumed it was for that trip - gift cards, trader pins, etc.). Then when they got to the last egg, they opened it up and found the books inside. They were so excited!! T

This was DS12 when he found out:

Hello all....

How excited is everyone?? We will also be on the Dream for May 9th...super excited as this will be our first cruise EVER!! We are going to WDW first and will celebrate my husband's birthday on the 7th and then our little girl will turn 7 on the 8th....Because the last day on the ship is Mother's Day...we will all get in a little celebrating....I look forward to meeting up with some of you all and making new "Disney Friends".....

We live in Mexico but our "home" is NC......

Has everyone started packing?? I have not put things in the suitcase, but they are in a pile...hahaha....due to being in Mexico, I did some shopping online and my husband is making a trip to the US to pick it all up so I am super excited to see what I have....I ordered so long ago, I almost forgot!

I have piles as well, mostly for the stuff we won't wear/use prior to leaving (I'm in NH so it is a wee bit chilly still for anything I will likely bring!). As usual, we will over pack as we will be at WDW a day before the cruise then we stay until the 19th after the cruise. Luckily we are flying Southwest this time so 2 bags per person can go free! I don't think we will have 2 bags a piece, but at least we can Plus we will have our locker delivered when we get to WDW so in addition to our suitcases at port we will have our locker, too! (see Autumn, this is my fear when we go to Paris or Tokyo- or Hong Kong or Shanghai when they open it....no one takes care of my luggage for me!!! )

GIIIIRL I am already going wait but but how am I gonna SHOWER on the boat without my locker? You should have seen me when we went to Vegas this past June, I was like whhhhhhhy can't my locker be delivered to me here? But yes I see the whole locker/luggage concern w/ Paris and Tokyo or HK or Shanghai. On the same point though, I think I wanna make SURE my undies made it off to my destination overseas, and not risk them missing it and me being PSU/Disney gearless for the length of my trip..

Oh we don't put undies in our locker...no laundry and no cooking allowed on vacation

I will drag that locker come heck or high water with me (hopefully it floats in the event of high water and I didn't know if I could write the synonym for Hades on the DIS!).

it LOOOOKS like they might deliver it to MCO....i messaged the locker peeps.. this would make packing MUUUUCH easier...

FE's all packaged tonight! Feels great to have it done. Now I suppose its time to start packing suitcases. We're getting so close!

I'm about half way done with FE's but its ok.. I currently have 31 Days, 4 Hours, 7 minutes and 20ish some odd seconds (at the time of typing that) until we land in MCO
I have 24 days to finish/pack/mail FE's as I want to mail them ahead of us to the terminal on 5/3 so per USPS.com it gets there on 5/6 or 5/7 to give the mail man a spare day to horke up delivery times

Yeah!!! I'm almost done with some, my mom is still working on some. Progress though, lots of progress these past 2 weekends. I haven't officially packed, just have a pile of things to pack that won't get worn before the trip. I want to pack "correctly" meaning I want to have just 1 suitcase between my son and I for the day before the cruise and day of cruise so I don't have to look between 2 (or 3 since we are flying Southwest and 2 bags a person fly free hehehe). But alas, that is my plan and we shall see how it turns out when the time comes ahaha.

There were a few things in my FE that I was able to make some extras of. Anyone not participating in the FE but not opposed to receiving a little pixie dust? If so, put your cabin # on the board or shoot me a message. Not making any promises but I do have some extras that I'd love to share with some DIS'ers.

Also if anyone is thinking of doing the same thing, we have friends staying in cabin 6524. 2 adults (1 bday) and 2 girls (ages 1 & 2). I made some magnets for them.
