May 9, 2012: 5 Night Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

Yay for Hunger Games! I am going tomorrow for my first child free outing since Rowen was born and Kevin's first time watching her (cross your fingers). We are doing first dinner. We are actually on a really early schedule generally, we eat dinner at 5:30 and Finn and the baby are asleep by 7/7:30 so I don't know how it will work on the cruise, we'll have to play it by ear. :)

Yea! It worked! Now how to make it tiny & part of our sig line?? :confused3

Annabel, near the top of the page is a DISboards menu...at the very far left, click on User CP (this is where you edit all your personal information). Select "Edit Signature" and then do the
thing in the box for editing your signature.

Don't worry...this IT person had the hardest time figuring out how to do multiple quotes!

We have second dining also...I don't believe I have ever had early dining on any cruise, as I do not like being rushed to get to dinner. Even my niece, who has cruised since she was 4 (and is now 12) prefers the later seating. She just always finds a snack (or orders room service) to tide her over until dinner. :)

I'm so bored.
Kids are watching The Muppets, eating pop corn. It is dark and rainy out and john's on a trip. Totally equals boredom.
There isn't even anything else for the cruise I can plan :(

Any ideas? I wish I could find a nice good MAGIC trip report but they all seem boring.

After this cruise we'll have a better idea of what will work for cruise #2! Oh! Yea!
Me too. We have second seating as well. In the winter we normally eat dinner between 5 & 6 so the earlier seating made sense but i didn't want to be rushed either. There's plenty of food around so I don't think we'll starve ;)

We have first seating. I went back and forth in the beginning, but I think it'll work best for us. My girls don't usually nap, but I think I'm going to try to make them nap every afternoon so we can do things in the evenings. If our youngest naps, she tends to be up late anyway so hopefully it'll work out to our advantage and not end in meltdowns! But I figured if we were already in the room for naps then we could just get ready for dinner and go to dinner and then have the rest of the evenings free to do other things. We normally eat pretty early too -- so maybe it'll seem a little more like our normal routine. We'll just have to see if my little plan works or not! :)

Hopefully today's not as boring for you as yesterday. :)

Sorry, just wanted to try this out.

Did you figure out your sig line? It took me forever to get just the trip countdown in mine, so I don't dare try anything else. :rotfl2:
You guys look so cute in your picture! :cutie:

Yesterday I spent the day working on my FE gifts, and I'm almost finished! I also found out that we have a new Disney Store that opened in our outlet mall!! So excited!! And it's only 10 min. from our house, how perfect!

I would be in soooo much trouble!!!!

Here's my cutie bunch! It was soooo hard getting them to sit together for this picture. It's the first one I've gotten since Cole was a baby. Cole NEVER wears a shirt unless we make him, which is why it's referred to as "going Cole" if the guys don't wear shirts in our cul de sac. :lmao:

Not sure which part of the country you're from, but we stuck with the central time zone when we last cruised so we had an extra hour on the cruise to stay up. If you're from the West Coast, that can actually buy you 3 extra hours!! Plus, you won't have to readjust back when you get home. Just a thought.

@Britster - That's just another reason why I love having DS around. Gives me an excuse to do all sorts of fun things that I would otherwise look like an idiot doing as an adult (i.e., ride the kiddie train at the zoo, to go the Magic House or go to BounceU). With DS around, I'm never bored. Plus, there's always a lovely glass of wine somewhere. :lmao:

Thanks, but no. I still can't figure it all out. :confused3 I was able to put it in my sig line but it was so huge that all you can see is the left side of DH's head. While it's a nice head ... :rotfl2:

Do you guys think this is ok with these shoes for Palo brunch? I've done a search on here but wanted to know what you guys thought??

I love that dress! And, absolutely, it would be lovely for brunch!! :thumbsup2

Beautiful kids!!! :flower3: Love the "going Cole" quip. DS just recently got into the "run around naked & shaking it phase." Luckily, it's been more confined to just before bath time, but still. Things you're just not used to pre-kid, ya know? :scared1:

:lmao: You know what comes next..... inappropriate questions in public places. Good times.....

I'm at a loss as to what I'm wearing for dinners. I want to buy a new dress, but I'm a housewife and I know I'll never wear it again. Unless I get some classic cut that's timeless, but I'm pretty sure I've got that black cocktail dress in my closet already that will work just fine. :confused3
Then there's the thought of what the whole family is going to wear, and my head starts to spin.

Um. Been there, done that. I took DS to the zoo on Easter a couple of years ago because they had a special event with the monkeys. The zookeepers dyed a bunch of kiwis and hid them all over the monkey area. We were a part of a huge, hushed crowd all waiting for the monkeys to come out and find the kiwis. When they finally let them out, there just so happened to be 2 that were ... um ... connected. When DS saw that, he proceeded to yell out at the top of his lungs "Look, Mommy! That monkey has a big giant p*nis." over and over again. The entire group just burst out laughing while 1 dad nearby said "Whose kid is that?" I chimed in and said "I have no idea. Whose kid is that?" I thought I was going to die of embarrass that day. Since then, not much rattles me that comes out of DS's mouth.

Gotta LOVE this!!!!!:lmao:

I just canceled our 8:00 dinner reservation at Palo on the 3rd night. We are going to try to get a reservation on board for the last night, I don't want to miss one of the rotational dining meals. Just posting in case anyone wants it.

I'm confused about what is included in the ship?

For example, if we want to drink wine at dinner, what is the best option:
- bring the bottles in and pay $20 (uncorking) each night?
or
- purchase the premium ($219) or classic ($319) wine package?

Another question:

What about the water? Is bottled water included? is it available in the fridge of the stateroom?

Any info is welcome!!!

Have a nice week!!!

Luz

I taught Sunday school awhile back and I asked what did God make and one of the little four year old said "my wee wee" safe to my husband had to step out and laugh. I had to quickly divert the other children minds and move on.
