May 9, 2012: 5 Night Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

Booked a reservation on the At Sea day for Palo Brunch. There is a Tea that day that is already sold out and the Palo Dinner is sold out.

I really can't figure out a good time to book Palo Dinner. I guess we will skip it.

You did good! I was on at 1:30am thanks to me just shutting my eyes for a second only to fall asleep :rotfl: and all the brunches and teas were gone.

I booked Palo for Sunday night since that is our Anniversary Date. I gave the kids a choice of missing the dinner that night as a family or missing the show, and they didn't want to miss the show. We'll see if I keep it that way.

I do want to find out if my DH14 and DD10 could go eat at that nights rotation even without us with them.

I could not figure a good time for Palo Dinner since this is my first cruise so I just went with brunch as well. I got a 10:30 slot for the at Sea Day. Did you get the boarding time you wanted.

That is cool your anniversary is on Sunday so is mine and hubby's. :cool1: I was not sure about missing anything since this our first cruise so I just went for brunch on the at sea day. I got 10:30am and I think there was still one slot open for it last time I checked. Not sure if it is still there. Did you get the port arrival time and other bookings you wanted.

Yeah we can celebrate together!party:

I just checked and they're still sold out. I may check back on occasion to see if anything opens up for brunch.

I booked us the Blue Lagoon Beach Day for Nassau. If we get back with enough time I may do some shopping in Nassau. On CC I booked the stingray adventure. The rest of the days are just for us to roam. :woohoo:

The VIBE crew!

All of us with teens that will be in Vibe who want to go ahead and be "meeting" their new friends, let's start a list. PM me your teen's name, age, & email address (+ yours if you'd like to have the list also :thumbsup2) and I'll make a list and send it out. I could also add a little list of interests/favorites so they can start finding their common ground. :goodvibes

I'll PM you today. :)

I missed this! Welcome aboard! What an awesome graduation gift! Congratulations to your daughter!

Got my 10:30 brunch for Palo on at Sea Day. Got 11 am arrival time. And have all my information filled out inlcuding Passport Info. :cool1:

Did not book Palo dinner because did not want it to infer with dinners I did not want to miss since first cruise.

Is the two sheet Online Check In Signature form all I need when I check in at Port besides Passports and IDs?

I got 11:30 at Palo brunch, I am going to try to switch it to earlier if it comes available.

I got 11:00 check-in. Is that the earliest?

I think it is earliest time check in time. It is the earliest time I was given.

Yea! So glad you were able to get the times you were looking for! Yes, that is all you will need at the port. DCL has a very simplified process. :)

We wanted that 11:30 slot for brunch! :rotfl: Like I said, not sure if we will keep it, but we have it just in case. Ours is for the same day as our dinner also (at-sea day). What to do!

Yes, 11:00 a.m. check-in is the earliest. Are you driving or taking a shuttle over to the port?

We are taking the shuttle from the hotel. Do they leave that early? My dh mentioned that he may want to drive all of us to port, unload our luggage and check it in and then him go back to the hotel and take the shuttle over. We have 3 kids, so a lot of luggage that will be a hassle to take on the shuttle.

Yay for fellow cruise dieters! :dance3: <--we gotta be doing more of this so we can get our slim on, huh? I want to fit in my cute clothes for the warmer months, too. princess:

I found the greatest app for my iPhone that I've been using for the last 45 days and I've lost 9 pounds. The app is called MyFitnesspal and it FREE! You put in your stats and it gives you a calorie count depending on how many pounds you want to loose and how active you are. The best part is there's a bar code scanner in the app, and you just scan everything you eat or drink and it puts the calories on you daily intake. When you eat out just search the restaurant on the app and 90% of the time they'll have what you ate and you just add it. We'll see how much I can lose before the cruise but so far so good. Like I said at the beginning I plan on eating my way through this cruise, so I need to make room. :lmao:

I'll have to check that out. I just restarted the 'Ease into 5k' app via iPhone/bluetooth earbuds. On my between days I'm doing aerobics & stair stepper. High protein, low carbs, as little sugar as possible (including fruits). And it doesn't hurt that I started the medical weight loss program at the doctor's office. :rolleyes1

Like Cindy said, they sure can! We're planning to let the boys do their own thing if they want. On our Dream cruise at least 1 night our youngest didn't want to come with us to dinner. It being such a short cruise and the boys off doing their own thing on the ship so much, I required the boys to at least do dinner as a family. It's more of an event than any other time in our lives, really. None of us regretted it. The meals turned out to be a lot of fun.

Well, you'll also need a smile. :goodvibes I'm not sure if the classic ships have the same system as the Dream with Shutters and all but at check-in they had us all line up by the counter to take a single picture for the facial-recognition software to be able to sort the onboard photos that are taken into our folio. It was really neat. Thought I'd mention that so you don't send the kids to find a seat while you check-in the way we did. We had to run to get the boys for the pic! :cool2:

DVCTigger! Welcome aboard! :goodvibes

If you want to participate in the FE, I think the cutoff was set at 3/31 so you're still inside the window if you want to get in. I'll see if I can go locate the list-keeper's info if you want it.

Super-big congrats to your daughter on her graduation! That's a huge accomplishment! It's awesome that you get to do something as special as a mother/daughter trip to celebrate. I love that. So sweet!

And, hello?! Platinum?! Holla! That rocks!

This is only our 2nd cruise, first as a silver. I look forward to hitting platinum someday. I know it's geeky to say it but I'm almost sad we won't have the same keys we did last time. It seemed like everyone had the silver keys. I felt all special with our fresh newbie keys. :cutie:

I booked the stingray adventure in CC because the stingray adventure in Nassau is not showing up for me. We are thinking about staying on the ship in Nassau now. Is the Discover Atlantis excursion worth it? It would be a little over $200 for all of us, plus lunch.

No still in the stone ages. I do not even text.
1st time cruiser here too!! I can finally make our plans too. Honestly though, we are making no plans! I do want to try to book Palo. Still not sure when.
No texting!?!?!? How in the world do you communicate... kidding! Walking counts as exercise tho right... who needs the gym :lmao:

I can let you hold my key :rotfl:

We are all checked it!!! I booked Palo for dinner on Key West day... i think. I have been researching things to do in Key West. I want to know what is there, but dont think I will book anything til we get there. Oh and we got 11:30 boarding.

I use Calorie Counter on my Android phone. I have had some success until I caught a nasty cold last week and have only wanted comfort food since :( Back on the wagon Monday!

All this planning is so overwhelming. So far I have NOTHING booked. The Palo brunch was sold out **boohoo**

I just checked the at sea day and an 11:30 brunch came up. Hope you can get it!

They definitely can go to dinner that night in the dining room without you! Your servers will take good care of them. :)

That's great news! DH14 said he'll grab his little sis and they'll go by themselves, that way they can say goodbye to our servers. Then we can all meet up and go to our last show. Perfect!
