Just back from the world!

Soooooo much fun?

here's our trip report.
May 6:
We live in Honolulu, so the the first day spent on a plane to Minneapolis
then to Orlando (May 7). We got in at 3:30pm and stayed at Holiday Inn Express to catch some zzzzzzzz's.
May 8:
8am, Tiffany Town Car there to picks us up, me(dad), wife, son Jake, and my brother. We get to Carribean Beach Resort- what a great hotel to stay at it, its spread out enough that you don't feel the actual crowdiness that you have in regular hotels- I think I'm the most excited of all.(i mean bringing my 4 1/2yo to WDW in the best excuse to come back).
Anyway, we check in get our "keys to the world" and package materials (Discovery Magic Plan) off to the room, theres those resort cups I've been reading about and ponchos already
in the room. then off to the Magic Kingdom.
1st ride Space Mountain, Jake gets the frontseat he's 44inches tall (just barely). and 1st time on any coaster of any kind!? weeee off goes the ride, a minute + later dad has nausea, and Jake wants to go again, go figure! the we do the TTA, good mello ride, then the tomorrow land speedway, the Buzz Lightyear ride thats pretty cool, car spins, and you shoot targets, mom had 123,900 points, JK had 700 JK won?
Now all this time we are carrying JK,(yup! we thought we could do it w/ no stroller, IDIOT) who BTW doesn't act like himself, nose begins to run and sneezing like no tomorrow. MK on this particular day seems fairly crowded, lots of school excursions, and not to mention 90+degrees, we continue on! we do the astro orbitter, everyone goes straight to the top except us, duh, move the lever.
1:30 we take a snack break, then to Toon Town, Barnstormer and Its a Small World. Frontierland's Splash Mountain
JK is very irritable, thinks he's getting sick, nah!,
4pm PS at Cinderella's Royal Table, just in time, we are all TIRED, HOT and HUNGRY.
for those of you who don't do Disney Package Plans, you should try it, our meal if we had to pay out of pocket would have been about $125.00 for 3 Adults (we ate the most expensive item) paid for JK's meal $8.
After dinner, Big Thunder Mountain thought my son would like that since he has every Thomas trains there are. he didn't. then the Haunted Masion, JK was scared and getting a bit of a fever!
Finally to the CBR, rest, grab the mugs and head on to the food court.

Your trip is off to a good start - hope your son isn't getting sick - thanks for posting!

May 9 :( it's 4am JK has a fever! no meds for him.

This is how good Disney staffers are, we call the front desk at CBR to see if there are any nearby stores or on site care facility. told that nearest is Walgreens about 15 minutes away. so just about to calll for a taxi and theres a knock on the door, bell services is there to take me to Walgreens, how cool is that!
many mahalos to CM's ;)

We spend the next day at Epcot not to much activities, lunch at teppanyaki in Japan,
Universe of Energy w/ Ellen, thats a good show waiting is at the least minimal 5-10 minutes
Space Ship Earth also no lines. oh yeah we did get a stroller from here to the end of the trip.
My son is still under the weather mild fever so Deb and JK head back to the CBR. myself and my brother stay to do Fast Track good thin for Fastpass cause they closed the ride because of mechanical problems and were only letting FS and single riders on. The fasspass line was about a 15-20mnute wait, we liked that ride the best. After that we head back to CBR for a swim. its still 90+degrees.

May 10
Jake is himself, we can tell because he's not listening?

Anyway, we go to Animal Kingdom for the character breakfast. W/donald and the gang the 1st character is Goofy and JK hides under the the table, its a pretty good buffet not a large buffet but it has a good selection. We head to "It's Hard To Be A Bug" the 3-d is really good here the best in all the parks, next we head for Kilimanjaros Safaris, to help round up some pouchers, Next is the wildlife express to the conservation station and the Kali River Rapids, good ride when its HOT, I seemed to sweat more after that ride, headed back to Epcot
to check some countries, kind of just a stroll kind of day.

I do believe that our legs are a heck of alot longer then the kids.....so they do twice as much walking as we do......I dolike a carriage for kids........it sure helps to keep the stress down........thanks again
