~May 7, 2011~ 7-night Eastern Caribbean Cruise on the Magic!

Thinking about taking out the luggage this weekend and starting to get some toiletries together.... :rolleyes1

Anyone else? :yay:

I finally figured out what we're doing the night before we sail. Our flight arrives at 2pm, and we are renting a car for the night - heading to the Boardwalk and DTD if we have time. I bought a certificate from restaurant.com for Kimonos at the Swan. It was a $25 certificate that I got for $2 with a promotion last week!!! So exciting!

I think we may try to go to Jellyrolls if we're not too tired. We always want to go, but never find time on our WDW trips. Sounds like a good pre-cruise night out! ;)

We will have wonderful weather for the next several days and I was planning to take my suitcases out and clean them since they are probably dusty. I have quite few things out already in the spare bedroom on the bed, mostly kids clothes...etc.

Our plane is late, we get to MCO at 8PM so we will just drive to hotel, try to find something to eat and go to bed...

:cloud9:Lexa, oh yes the weather is going to be amazing! It is a wonderful idea to air out the luggage!!!! Think I will do the same!

:thumbsup2 Working on our FE gifts more today (so almost done!) and our FE (yep still haven't done ours!). Going through first aid things and making a list of what we need.

I am getting so excited!

We have a small toiletries bag that we keep ready all the time. DH travels, so it helps when it's time to pack.
We love restaurant.com and the deals!!!:cool1:

This is the first time we are flying in the day of the cruise. I hope we aren't testing the gods. We have insurance and May weather should be okay. I keep reassuring myself. FINGERS CROSSED

When we store our luggage after a trip, I toss in a dryer sheet. Helps them smell nice and fresh. Plus you have the extra dryer sheet if you will be doing laundry on board.

My kids have Spring Break this week so I have helpers and they are both so excited to put FE gifts together :)

Never thought of that, will do that after this cruise :) I used to travel a lot overseas to go home to see my family, but with plane tickets prices my traveling slowed down a lot :(

Great idea! I will do this after this trip too! :thumbsup2

I think that I should be fine on toiletries. I haven't looked them over yet - but I started couponing, so I have been able to stock up on a lot of free deodorants and little things that we can pack for the trip.

The only thing I think I need more of is sunscreen

A question for those who are doing magnets for their stateroom door....how many magnets will you make? I have some favorite designs I really want to print out, but I'm not sure how much is too much......

Hi rusafee1183!!

I wish I could be as organized as you! I am typically one of those last minute packers. I like packing for my husband and daughter.....but seem to procrastinate with toiletries and my own clothing.

This cruise is going to be a complete surprise for my 7 year old daughter, thus I will have to "sneak pack" this time. Not to mention I have to "sneak make" the goodies for FE's. Luckily, my hubby can help a little (boohoo...he has to work in May so Nana will be cruisin with us).

Ttyl,
~Claudia

ps - can someone explain the magnet thing to me (I assume they are for the statesroom door - but what do you hang up?). Again, we are all cruise virgins here. Thanks

It'll be cruise time before we know it!

Wondered if anyone wants to link dining arrangements. We have the late seating and have a 6-year-old DD who is in grade one. She plans to spend as much time as possible in the kids clubs.

Hi Claudia! Welcome!!! :cool1:

I'm really not that organized. I'm just excited and I get obsessed with things easily.

Right now it's coupons! :thumbsup2

I was thinking of starting a PTR called "Couponing to the Caribbean" but I just don't know if I am interesting enough to hold people's attention for that long :lmao:

I posted this quite a while ago, but for those new to magnets, here it is:

I stole this from another thread, but it has a lot of helpful tips. I've done a lot of these, so if I can help, let me know.

My dd just turned 7 (we are from Ontario)! As long as the kids club has lots of crafts, my mini-Martha Stewart (Meagan) will be spending most of her time there (and at the pool).
We have late dining as well. Understandably, that's all that was left (boo boo).

Claudia, if you would like early seating then call DCL and ask to be on waiting list. When we booked our cruise we did the same and finally they moved us to early seating.

I printed out several magnets today and turned out great. I still have few more to go.

How has early dinning? We were thinking what to do and I still think for my kids is better to eat earlier then late. We will make it work with everything else. I'm just so scared that week on the ship will go by so, so fast.....:rotfl:

Really, they did actually move you? We are on a waiting list, but I figured we didn't have a real chance (considering its Disney and tons of young families). Thanks for the ray of light:thumbsup2

Love your Etsy site. Neat stuff. I bet you have an amazing home full of vintage/antique gems!
