Claudia, we're going to stick with late seatings after hearing that they''ll come to the dining room and take the kids back to the clubs allowing us to have a lazy dinner. Hailey is a night owl.

Hey all! Glad that the closer we get everyone is getting a bit more chatty!

I am really excited to start making magnets! I don't know where to start though. Do I just look through the links and find pictures that I like and save them to a word document or something?

And then print them on magnet paper?

I'm totally computer illiterate.

Also, Jinia - we are doing an excursion on St Thomas, but we are attempting St Martin on our own. Where are you thinking about going?

I *think* we might do some wandering and browse the shops in Phillipsburg and then head to Orient. Then come back and make purchases before getting back on the ship.

But, I don't know.... the whole nude thing is throwing me.

I thought about staying at Great Bay beach since it's so close, but then I heard that it's where they have sewage run off!!! Has anyone else heard this??!!

Yes...I read here on the board that some people try to change seating right after boarding the ship too.

Go through some threads...you have nice designers who will alternate their graphics for you if you can't do it yourself. Then when you have graphics you want/need you have several options....or print them on paper or card paper which is a little heavier and laminate them, add magnetic strips and you are ready to go. Or you can buy magnetic "paper" and print directly on it. Its a little pricey, but less work.

We will not do much things on our own. If we would be without kids then yes, but with two little ones I like things a little more organized.

rusafee1183-We are thinking of taking a taxi to the Orient Beach and just hang there for a bit..It is hard to go without full tours and such but as DSis (nswift565) pointed out in the amount of time we have it would be impossible to get more than a glimpse of the culture/architecture so we should do what we will enjoy. DH has only been to Corpus Christi Beach that area so I am eager for him to see a good beach! We are cruising with Dsis and some of her bunch so Orient had lots to offer everyone and looks beautiful. Since it is around 30 minutes to and from that is sorta a tour right...lol
The topless bit is no big deal to us..just warn DS so he won't be like hey shes naked. DS9 can be a little blunt .....like a sledgehammer....

Sounds Good! PM me if you figure out how! I am sure Hailey and DS would love my lil' Meagan. She's very social, always giggling (but warning..she is one of the pickest eaters known to mankind). I just learned that the evening shows are before the late seating. Ahh, that makes me feel a bit better.

We are early seating too! We will have our own table I believe-us and my sisters family.

We are early diners too, we have friends cruising so will be sat with them. We met them 5 year ago on Western Caribean cruise, since then we have both had children so our group has gone from 4 to 7 then add in parents who have decided to come and help out our table is at 10!
Does anyone know if the kids get anything at the table to occupy them? Before I start planning what to take with us.

We did early seating for dinner as well. (We are linked with my MIL and my husband's best friend). I would rather rush a little to get ready and have both kids be in decent moods for dinner. Plus we are used to eating early around 5:30 or 6:00 each night.

I am getting SO excited. I am buying supplies for our door magnets next Friday and working on them all next weekend.

I also have to finish up my FE shopping next weekend. Looks like I'll be busy.

We had a little hiccup in plans earlier this week. My husband's best friend and his girlfriend split up. She was going with him on the trip. So he's on a search for someone who wants to go on the trip and take her place. It's been a mess. But glad it's not MY mess.

My MIL knows nothing about the FE's or door magnets. I'm handling those for everyone, so she will be surprised!

We bought matching family shirts for pirate night - even one for MIL. I love them!

I have been reading the disboard daily, so I figured I might as well join! My family is very excited about our first cruise. My DD tells me daily that she is ready to go on the boat, and puts her Snow White dress on as soon as she gets home from daycare. My group includes my DH, DD almost 3yr, DS 15months. My parents from Texas will also be joining us, which is exciting because I haven't seen them since Novemeber!

I am thinking of doing the same thing with the taxi to Orient. I think the only thing that we are looking to buy in Phillipsburg is the guavaberry liquor that everyone talks about. It sounds AMAZING - and right up my alley

We are planning to do the beach at St Thomas ourselves, Megans Bay. Go there first then head back for some shopping. Hoping it will be easy to get return taxis from beach but I have heard there are taxis who will come back for you or several at the beach waiting for people to go back to the ship.Fingers crossed. We booked Butterfly farm ay St Martin hoping to entertain DD for a while.

We are so excited. We made a very simple FE with a Donald and Daisy theme. I'm not crafty, but I think it came out pretty. The FE gifts are finished except for last minute stuff. I can hardly wait to start pulling out the suitcases.

We want to try the guavaberry liquor too.
