Kim we are driving leaving Heading out sometime on may 3rd whenever jonathan gets done with his state testing that day.


I didn't turn on the rain but it's suposed to rain here this week.must have been dh's fault for washing his jeep and not my van

karen thats what i did most of yesterday ..i did get most of the house cleaned and allergy free...our cats are in clumping shedding season We do the same thing as far as cleaning house.. dh used to never worry about it and i got him in the habit of doing it before we leave so we can come home to a semi clean house.. i say semi clean as the cats shed so much that we come home usually to tons of clumps of their hair all over the house normally.. but at least the dishes and laundry is all dont and such..

things seem to be looking on the brighter side now..with a little head banging i am hoping to have a bit of spending money back into our vacation plans. not sure how much yet but better then nothing...

we still haven't gotten our docs yet either..this week will be a busy week mainly for dh and we have several people off on vacation at work this week so i am hoping for the extra work..which = extra money

Well I got to spend four hours in the emergency room last night! While building his garage, Dh had a wall jam into his foot and it tore the entire nail off and cracked a metatarsel (sp?) Lovely! So he is now laid up for at least 3 days before he can even think about walking on it. They also said he shouldn't wear close toed shoes for about 4 weeks! Guess who will be wearing sandals to formal night?

I just read on the main cruise thread that DCL is banning door signs!!! Noooo.....this is the first time I've actually made one!

We will be driving.....we leave on may 3rd and will drive down from NJ....but we have done it many, many times....so we have our little routine.....we leave at night and the kids watch a movie, than go to sleep....by the time they wake up we are in florida. DH is a police officer, so driving at night to him is nothing out of the usual and diriving for that many hours is just a little bit longer than his normal 12 hour hour shift!!!!!!

They are not allowing anything to be taped, glued or other ways adhesive to the door. You can only have magnetic door signs. So if I get on the ball and make one and print it off on the magnetic paper dh got for me. I only have 12 days left.

Oh my Lisa..might want to tell your dh that if he wanted to start vacation sooner he should think of less painful ways I hope it heals fast though and walking the ship is going to be some good exercise. and instead of weating sandles for formal nite have him wear just one shoe and go in a sock for the other will be less pain. which toe was it??

mbw12.. we drive overnite once inawhile if we are pressed for time but if we have the time we like to stop and spend the nite so mommy and daddy can get some sleep but our drive is 16-17hrs.

and guess what...dh texted me at work to say DHL had a package for us..Our docs came today
and i got my pay slips in for my time off work today so that is all done working on bills next and then its off to get the important paperwork folder organized since i have all the papers now in hand..

Thanks for the well wishes on hubby's toe (his left big one by the way), I told him over and over to NOT do anything stupid prior to the cruise, but do they listen to us?

We are actually leaving Friday 4/27/07 for a week in WDW, then off to the cruise. We have waited for all our life for a trip like this.

Still no docs here, I am getting worried that I called DCL and asked when I should get my docs. Well I should have had them 2 weeks before sail date. So he was nice enought to look up and see there was a problem with the UPS and my docs are delayed. THEY are scheduled for delivery. *sigh* I guess I am just learning to wait. If i do not have passports by tomorrow I am going to call them again and see what is up. Not like I put it off till the last min it has been 9 weeks since we sent in the appilcation (enough time? Guess not!)

So I sit here tapping my fingers and trying to wait!

Lori..have you done a follow-up call on yours? did they get the signing thing all straightened out?

well i got our folder all organized and attached a few luggage tags. need to find out a few specifics on liquids..like conditioners...we use spray conditioner on ambers hair and its in a bigger bottle but need to make sure we can bring it as they don't make small bottles of it..so i am hunting info down on the message boards.

oh and i decided since nothing good is on tv tonite i would go thru and watch the disney shows from the marathon that i recorded the other month..put it in and it recorded the WRONG channel..

Tracy, I DVR'd the marathon and watched some of Samantha Brown and the hotels last night. It's got me busting at the seams.

My boss asked me today if I would rather not take my 1/2 day as usual on Friday and just be off all day Monday instead. (We leave early Tues. AM) Ugh...Yeah That like gives me a complete 2 week vacation from his whiney @##. I'm thankful...don't get me wrong, but after suffering thru tax season and I've been with this guy for over 3 years he gave the new girl who had only been there for 2 and 1/2 months the same bonus I rec'd. So I would be delighted to not have to see him for awhile. Maybe I'll forget about him.

I printed off my confirmation pages at work today and I've got my folder complete. I told everyone that if you let mommy walk out of the house without this, we won't be going anywhere. I think they got the point.

I am so ready for this. I WANT MICKEY That's actually what I've been humming for days. That and when I get in a bad mood I break into Zippideee Doo Dah...

I bet my co-workers can't wait for me to be gone either.

I am still so frustrated. I haven't received my docs yet. I emailed my TA this morning and she still hasn't sent anything back to me. My husband keeps asking if I really trust the TA. I said everything is in the Disney reservation online, so I guess we are ok. I still would feel better with docs in hand.

Tracy... on the spray conditioner it looks like you'll have to put it in your checked luggage or find a smaller container to transfer some into. It can't be more than 3oz. Seems they are real strict about it still. One of my moisturizers is 3.7oz, so I'm checking it. It's too expensive for them to toss out!

yep driving i posted it in a general question of the board and was told disney doesnt care as long as you carry it on and anything checked needs to be packed really well in case of breakage.. so now i am inquiring about limitations on carry-ons and the sizes..might get to take our small suitcase of bottled water yet.. but yeah i knew the airlines had restrictions so wasn't sure if disney was going by those restrictions or not but a friend that just got back from the disney cruise said she has checked and carried on huge bottles of shampoo and such before just make sure its in ziploc baggies.lol so if there is no limit on the carry-on i think we will take our suitcase on wheeels as a carry-on with the water in it..
