May 5th 2007 Western Magic CINCO DIS MAYO!

welcome seeboo and family.

Someone help me please I am absolutely freaked over what to wear for formal night, I dont own a dress and have been looking everywhere the best I can find is around $100.00. Any one have pics of what they are wearing. This is my only stress for the cruise and I wont relax until I find something to wear.TIA

I don't have a picture, but I'm wearing a dress I already have - a post Devin dress that actually fits my big ol butt (the joy of being a bridesmaid twice since he was born is I have dresses). The one I'm wearing is actually not a dress but a 2 piece red skirt and off the shoulder matching top and the skirt will do double duty on pirate night. So I got lucky there. Plus since the skirt is floor length, I'm wearing flat shoes (maybe even black isotoner slippers). You may want to check out TJMax and Marshall's for some post New Years outfits as they are usually less $$$. Or check your paper for JCPenney's coupons. If you don't see a dress you like, dressy evening pants and a dressy blouse will work too.

We escaped being sick all winter - until now. I feel like death warmed over.:sad1:

Welcome Seeboo!

KandyK...sorry you can't go. Let us know what date you pick for the Mex Riviera and maybe we'll drive down to the port to see you off!

Sherri...Dress Barn is excellent for little black dresses. (In all sizes) I only paid $39.95 for mine. Not floor length, and also my semi-formal I got from them or JC Penney 2 years ago. Not everyone dresses up to extremes on the Disney cruise. I think on Carnival people were more dressy. I always race up to the room after dinner to change anyways. I hate wearing dresses! (and heels!)

Still busy with the sinus thing. (or maybe allergies?)

Thanks for the wonderul welcome. I am happy to see many freindly people here. In addition there was alot of reading to catch up.

Well my name is Zanna and DH is Martin, DS (7) Stone, DD (4) Zoie. We are hailing from Wyoming.

This will be our first disney cruise. We are usually traverls to Disneyland, on our last trip we took a bump and recieved 400 in travel vouchers. I guess you can say we ended up with a free airline trip so we can go on the Disney Cruise.

I can see there is alot I need to know and alot I need to get ready before he pack out bags and head out. I just bought me a new suitcase this weekend. After 9 years of marriage out wedding luggage finally wore out...:flower3:

i bought our pepsi and water today since it was on sale so will get to play around with the suitcase and see how i am going to get it all packed up..:rotfl: getting overly anxious now. :cool1: :dance3: :yay: :woohoo:

Wow, you are going to play with suitcases already!!!!:yay: We must be getting close!! We are getting close, aren't we?!?!??

So glad you are joining us. I added you and your crew to the roll call. We are planning on meeting briefly after embarkation (and before the safety drill) at 3:15 pm on Deck 3 in the Promenade Lounge for a short meet and greet to say HI, put faces to the DisBoarders we've been chatting with and to introduce the kiddos who'll probably be seeing each other in the clubs, etc. Hopefully you'll be able to make it!

I found my formal dress. I did not go as "formal" as usual. It is not a long dress, it sort of comes below the knee, above the ankle. It is a cream color with black trim. And I did great! It was marked down to $47.98 and I had an extra 20% off coupon, taking me to $40 and some change. Not quite as good as Debbie, but darn close!:cool1: The long dress that I absolutely loved, did not go on sale and they only had a size 6 left any way. The last time I wore a size 6 I think I was 6!!:lmao:

Yes, I am still on the face of the earth! Kimberly...that is the cutest picture EVER! I am not worried about formal things this time around, I will just wear what I have. I was talking to my husband last night and stated that I am so stressed out lately that I don't plan to do a whole lot of dressing up this time because I plan to stay mostly by my bucket of coronas and fruity drinks! Anyway, Kaylin is very excited to meet the kids. Her step brother will be with us and he will be off doing his own thing so she is wanting to find a buddy too! Have a great day.

Wow, you are going to play with suitcases already!!!!:yay: We must be getting close!! We are getting close, aren't we?!?!??

umm yep we are getting close deary..:rotfl2: :cool1: and i need a place to store that stuff anyways till the trip or they will start drinking it :rotfl2: might as well play around and get it packed out of sight so they don't get into it. i thought we had another big suitcase and i guess we don't so packing it will be interesting to say the least as the two bigger suitcases i need for our clothes. oh well i know i can do it just a matter of getting creative with it:rotfl2: :lmao: ..i get this weekend off so me and amber are off to shop for some b-day stuff for her princess style party and get us all some new swimsuits. hope everyone is having a good week so far. we got snow today of all things.. whatsn't expecting to leave for work to see that..

YIKES- FORMAL DRESS? I am not one who is much for dressing up. I love living in my scrubs and not a fan of heals and nylons. I have a nice sundress and cute sandles. The last time I wore a formal dress was at my brothers wedding (4 years ago). Is everyone getting a new formal dress and will I be the only one wearing a nice sundress?? Yet again this could be a reason to go shopping. Maybe a weekend getaway down in Salt Lake City. *something to ponder about*

Kim

Amen to this! For everyone worrying about formal or not, if you don't feel comfortable dressing up, don't have a formal dress, whatever, don't worry, wear a sundress, you will be fine. Some dress to the nines, some don't.
I am wearing the dress I bought for my niece's wedding which is in June, and I will also wear it to my son's graduation in June, so I will at least get THREE wearings out of it. LOL:rotfl: (I haven't even bought it yet, but it is between a tea length floral and a floor length silk gown)
I agree with Kim, I am more concerned about (insert CM name here) bringing me a round of BBC's! LOL
Hope this doesn't sound mean. I just don't want to see anyone stressing about what to wear or not wear. We are on VACATION! enjoy!

(stepping off my wobbly soapbox)

Lisa

BTW, welcome seeboo and family!!:cool1:
