Promanade Lounge sounds great PPPiglet~ and I will be staying up tonight too. Granted, I don't have to stay up until 3am, that really stinks.
I also just decided I probably should look for a second choice in excursions just in case. I doan wanna..... and I still want to try parasailing. I will decide on Palo when we get on the ship. If it happens it happens. I'm good either way. I have to know Madison will be comfortable with the kids club since we are mostly taking the trip to have fun with her!!

Nope, no nap. I tried lying on the couch but Devin was watching Mulan and not being quiet! I'm riding on 4 hours of sleep from last night and watching Now and Then on TBS! Its hard to believe that only about 8 years ago I could go for 3 days without sleep. Not anymore. I think I'm getting OLD

Well the DisBoard was clogged but I finally got through to post. Still no Palo brunch But I knew that already. I got various Flounders times (though at sea days were very limited during brunch times). I signed up for Parasailing on CC but not sure if I'll keep it. I might try to squeeze in a little packing that afternoon and I found out they have parasailing at Paradise Beach - may be less crowded. I hope everyone got most of what they want!

I'm for meeting around 3:15-3:30ish on Deck 3 in the Promenade lounge if you all are. This would give us time to have had lunch and get to our rooms and explore the ship a bit before the safety drill at 4pm. Even if you just stop in to say hi, you don't have to stay and visit long if you don't want. Just makes it nice to pass and see other Disers on the ship throughout the week!

I started playing at 12:01 last night and got right in. Well there were no brunches available at Palo. I got our Pirate Encounter on the Grand Cayman. I got 2:30 parasailing on Castaway Cay, Madison in kids club and a manicure! I did not get the Fury Catamaran in Cozumel. If there was an earlier time it was full. The later time got back around 6 and I just didn't want to get back that late. So I guess we will just try to get to a beach on our own. I will just have to do some investigating. I did not want to pay $59/$46 to go on their beach trip. Have we discussed here getting taxis and to which beach?

Actually, I've done a lot of research on Cozumel beaches because the Dolphin enounter I wanted DCL says Devin is too young and booking on our own he's old enough but we couldn't get in until 3:30pm which would get us back too late for Pirate dinner. Of the "family" beaches with calmer waters we decided on Paradise Beach. The taxi ride should cost between $12 and $15 for a family of 4 or less each way depending on which pier we dock at. Its free entry but to use their chairs/umbrellas they ask that you purchase $10 pp of food/drink which we would exceed anyway since we want to have lunch there. The food is reputed to be quite good. They have all the water toys - iceberg, trampoline, snorkel gear, mats at a cost of $9 to use whatever you want all day long but that is optional. If you're so inclined they have cabana massages ($1 per minute - WOW, I pay $90 for 50 minutes here in the unexciting burbs), parasailing ($55), banana boat rides, hair braiding etc. It sounds like they have a lot of the stuff CC has but you don't have to reserve in advance which I like 'cuz I don't know what we're going to want to do.
My logic FWIW :
I chose Paradise over Playa Mia fka Playa Sol because it seems to be less a heavy party place. Playa Mia gets the Carnival cruise Beach Break excursion dumping boat loads of pax off and there are 2 Carnival ships in port with us that day. Mr. Sanchos sounds nice but it is farther down and allegedly lost a lot more of its beach during the 05 hurricanes. San Francisco beach is right next door to Paradise but doesn't have all the toys and stuff. The owner of PB (Paradise Beach Tom) posts on cruise critic a lot and is willing to answer any questions you have. We're hoping to get there by 11ish and leave around 3:30 or 4 to get back in time to shower and get dressed for pirate night. Arrrrr Matey! The only downside is that it doesn't have a pool! Cozumel Insider and the Cozumel board on cruise critic have a lot of good info about all the beaches! Here's a link to the Cozumel Beach chart - a nice comparison chart of every beach on the island. I have a question just went to fill out the online check in form and the only choice for ID is a passport, We have ours but what if you want to use a liscense, I thought the passport thing was not mandatory yet.

Looks like there will be several of us parasailing at the same time! Promise you won't post here when we get back about how I screamed and squealed going up, I am wondering if putting me on the end of a long rope that goes up 600 foot in the sky is a good idea!

Cruisebound: don't worry, I am working on getting our Cinco Dis Mayo shirts done and we plan on wearing them. I will also have a door sign on our room for Dis Member on board. I am working on the Congratulations sign for ds for his graduation...although maybe I am being premature on that...LOL We are taking it on faith that he will graduate in June by booking a cruise in May...

As for the passport part: we have them, so I put the info in, BUT, last time we did not and I left it blank...no problems.

Paradise beach is supposed to be very nice, a Dis group went last time we were there and liked it, but said it got crowded about noon! Beware the taxi ride though! Mexican taxi drivers are quite...how shall I say?....scary! They do not follow normal driving rules.

Karen, we will be on the Pirate encounter with you at GC as well! It sounds like it will be lots of fun.

I can't embroider so I'm printing out Cinco dis Mayo shirts using iron on transfer paper. You won't be the only ones

I just posted an update on the Roll Call (Post 15) regarding a short disers meet and greet about 3:15 (before the safety drill). Hopefully everyone can stop by and just say hi. So nice to put faces to the dis names we've been chatting (posting) with - some for almost a year now. WOW time flies!

I'm doing the logo transfer onto T-shirts also. Hopefully they will come out ok! Are you putting yours on the front and back? At least with the logo on our shirts it will be easy for people to find us that first day. The green shirts were too dark, so just ended up getting white ones. I'll just make the logo colorful!

Paradise Beach sounds good to me! I will probably want to go fairly early just in case I need to have Madison take a nap. I don't want her too pooped for Pirate's Night. Hopefully she will sleep in that morning. She has really been looking for to it! Today she wanted to discuss what rides we would go on at WDW.
And Lisa, I will probably be squealing right along with you! My dh can't believe I want to do this. In certain situations, heights scare me but I am so excited about this.
I am having a girlfriend embroider our shirts. The Disney shirts are red and she thought printing in white (with green dis) would show up better than black. And she is embroidering on the back.
I have the best idea for a last day door poster. I hope I get my computer back soon.
Okay, now that we we have all our onboard plans, can we start packing?

Ok i haven't been free to keep up with the board the past few days to come back to 3 pages behind..

i am printing out the last 3 pages to read those and then will post all replies on one. it's just been hectic around here with work, kids, my mom..

will say though hubby and ds has the count down thing going now and they say i am bad?? even dd is telling us everyday "i am not coughing and sick no more so i get to go on the cruise now yeah"..

I am doing our t-shirts up sometime soon i hope..i am embroidering a character on the front for each one of us (had them all pick one out they wanted) and then i am putting the one green border cinco dis mayo that someone did on here as a transfer on the back of each one... as far as colors. i have one in red, one in white, one in light blue, and one in pink..ROFL but at least i know they will wear them.

that sounds like a plan to me for the meeting time and place..putting the print out page in my vacation file when i get home so its with us and we don't forget.

CruiseBound = I'll talk to dh again and see if he would like to do the beach thing but right now he is only wanting us on grounds for about an hour and the rest of the day on the ship.

Also how did you get this cinco logo into an embroidery design? ( although i am not sure what logo we are talking about quite yet )

KimberlyC = sure is a small world.. i may be up in toledo this weekend for the disney on ice at the sports arena. Just depends on if i work or not right now on when and if i go.
also thanx for the web site on the cozumel..will take a look at it when i get home today.

also thanx for the tips on the t-shirt transfers..i printed ours out on the white t-shirt type but thinking i may go thru and get the dark colored version as i don't really want to color of the shirt to go thru it for the red,pink, or blue shirts. i printed them all out though just havent ironed them on yet.

hope everyone is having a good week so far. mine is so so but better then last week..had level 3 almsot all week and thru us out of schedule big time on everything including my diet.

The last day i wrap in silver foil. Every weekend whe she comes over we catch up and pull all the days off. it is eciting to watch it shrink. We did this for the weeks, now we will make the one for the days.

i thought about doing that but with my crew they would want to remove one every minute of the day maybe when we get to about 30 days left i may do that with dd..i am soooo ready to go though.. on the bright side we hit 44 today whhhoooohoooo melted some of the snow..calling for like 51 by friday but rain is included with that
