Kim, can I borrow your tshirt design? The Cinco DIS Mayo one? Of course, knowing me, I will never do anything with any of this, but I have a slew of ideas saved on my computer and only one sign made up!

As far as Passports go: we got ours shortly after we booked this cruise and it took about 3 weeks to get ds's back and about 4 weeks to get mine!! Dh already had his for work travel.

I am really ready to go on this cruise now, we have had just dreary weather for a week now and I am SICK of cold and ice and NO sun!

The weather here is cold and snowy too. Yuck! I know DS wants to play outside in the snow but it has really been too cold. And wouldn't you know we all have coughs and colds right now!

So I'm stuck inside making signs, at least for the next 20 minutes, then off to the In-Laws!

I suppose you non California people don't want to know that it has been very warm here the last few day! I mean VERY. It's bad though because we have not had any measureable rain this season. This probably means a horrible summer.

I have to go to a girlfriends Pampered Chef Party today. I don't want to. I don't have any extra money and I just don't want to. But she is really counting on me to come, she said I don't have to buy anything, but you always feel like you should. I do need a new potato peeler though....

My cousin invited me to a Southern Living party (crap for the home, I believe) that was scheduled for today. I felt the same way. Fortunately I already had an appointment with the in-laws to have their pics taken with all the grandkids. It was part of our Christmas gift to them. Of course, my SIL advised me tonight that she is hosting a party (kids craft stuff) so I'll be going to that as I feel I should. There was some neat (although over-priced) stuff in the catalog she showed me but most of it is too old for DS.

Is this what you had in mind, or would you like something different?

Thanks Kim! I did play with it myself and basically came up with the same look except I added a little Disney Cruise flag to it.
I went to the party and spent a bit more than just a potato peeler. They have a new cookbook that had some wonderful recipes, not necessarily diet recipes, but very yummie looking ones. The consultant made a cheeseburger calzone and it looked and sounded yuckie while she was making it, but it was delicious. She also made a chocolate chocolate chip cake in the microwave in 14 min. That too was very good.

ok boy were those sites a bad thing at nite..i am now over 2 hours late for going to bed but there are some very talented people out there.

I love the one of the t-shirt one and even dh said that was kewl. i did find some of the characters in my embroidery stash and had every pick out one they wanted so got that done. just need to get the polo shirts. going to embroider what they want on the front and i think i am going to borrow your DIS design and use that on a transfer on the back. my magnets..well i downloaded some designs and such just have gotten a design in my head i like yet

and send some warm weather my way please..its down in the single digits at nite now and they are calling for more snow and nasty weather over nite tonite

looks like we are all making headway on our little projects anyways. have a good day tomorrow. i am off to bed now.

Yumm....Pampered Chef.....That's one party I never refuse. I have been to over 30 parties in the last 7 years! I have just about most of their products. I love their seasoning packets! And yes... I have that potato peeler too!

Well we are on the same coast and have had nothing but cold and ice and dreary for over a week now! I am originally from Colorado, so I am sooo not used to winters like this! Now of course, I am glad that I am not having the winter they are having in CO! My mom (who still lives there) said they have had snow every weekend for the last 7 weeks! There are 6-8 foot drifts everywhere that just won't melt! Ick!

Guess what though???? I GOT INTO MY SIZE EIGHTS!!!! Yes, I am shouting, sorry, but I was sooo excited! AND, they fit comfortably. Guess it helps that for the last two weeks I have had to walk my clients over 5 miles a day....I petsit by the way...

woohoo..i didn't even put mine on this past weekend maybe tonite..i know i can get into them just not comfortable yet with this cold weather though i have a hard time getting myself motivated to do much excersing as i don't want to go out in the cold to get to the ymca.

I just used MS Paint to change everything. I deleted the writing I didn't want and added my own. But of course, then you have to make sure you select a design where thewriting you don't want isn't laid over part of the design you do want. I've never used Picture it so I don't know. Let me know if you need help.

I haven't worn a size 8 pants since I was a young child. Even in my pre-children years the smallest size pants I could wear was a 9. Just one of those "large" Inheritances from my grandmother!

Remember when I was talking about wanting to do the Pirate adventure in Grand Cayman?! Well I finally found a review.... so now I definitely want to go!

Well, I promised to post our experience on the Pirate Encounter in Grand Cayman. We just got off the 1/13 Magic and did the Disney pirate excursion.

Overall, a lot of fun - great for kids (of all ages). I guess my only negative was that it was kind of short - a little over 2 hours.

We did the 10:30 tour. Started in Studio Sea and took the tender to shore. Another guide met us at the dock and we walked about a half a block to the pirate tender boat. The adventure started there with a pirate playing it up as we got on that tender that took us out to the Valhalla. We boarded and got a brief lay of the land from the pirate equivalent of a first officer. We sailed past the cruise ships and took a couple of shots of the mini-cannon at them. Then the kids were put to work swabbing the deck with the other pirates handed out soft drinks (no rum punch until the post-swim trip back). A couple of the dad's got "picked" to be put on trial. I ended up being one of them courtesy of my daughter. Nothing like a cold bucket of ice water over the head on a hot, sunny day!

The swim break was the highlight. You can go off the plank (the "low board") or off the railing on the upper deck. All complete with pirates doing back flips.

A quick trip back with soft drinks and rum punch and we were done.

We did Grand Cayman last year and had already done the Stingray City tour with Captain Marvin. I guess if I hadn't done Captain Marvin last year, I might have opted to do that this time. But having done stingrays, the pirate excursion was a great pick this year. It's VERY kid friendly. The pirates are entertaining and ironically, very nice when they take a lull in the act.

The excursion is operated by Jolly Roger (http://www.jollyrogercayman.com) - they run the Jolly Roger & the Valhalla.

hmmm, I have only used Waltograph and Waltograph UI with MS Paint, but I just checked Word Perfect (not a MS prgram) and they are there. You may want to try uninstall and re-install or ask the tech board for suggestions.

We are looking at that one as well. The website explains it a bit better. Sounds like fun! We did the thriller jet boat last time and had an absolutely fabulous time, but the water was so calm during May that it wasn't as "thrilling" as it should be. So I thought we would go with something different this time.

How do we get the right font etc to change the signs? I am seeing on Paint where I can change the colors, but not the font. ???
