Ok...I gained your couple of pounds and then a few more. I think I'll put on a few more and then start eating right again in January.

Finished most of my xmas shopping without too much stress, but my mom is in the hospital and things are up in the air right now. She's an alcoholic. They have her stabilized, but she needs to go to rehab. She can't even walk right now.

You're not the only one who has gained a few pounds. I had a giant brownie for dinner yesterday and it was delicious! After cooking dinner for the family, sometimes I just don't feel like eating it, but I'm not one to turn down dessert

Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope she is feeling better soon.

I spent last night baking masses of candy and treats for Christmas with a friend of mine, and let's just say: not everything made it to the treat baskets...ya know what I mean? So let's not talk about weight loss until after the holidays, or I shall become most depressed! LOL

DH and I have to call it Mickey D's (its our code phrase) because if DS hears McDonald's he gets quite excited.

No worries, I won't be talking weight loss anytime soon. I should diet for the cruise, but I'm a practical person...won't happen! Weight gain on the other hand, is a definite possibility!

Hi all..just checking in..It's been so darn busy for a couple weeks i don't even know if i am coming or going anymore. I keep having to ask dh what day it is and now he's even off on days..lol I did get all my cards done and sent out..14 yr old needs to get his done and out but he's is struggling with math homework lately so thats been time consuming. We got our family pics done this week. Didn't get them done in time for the cards so i will figure out how to upload one on here when i get home and get some free time. This weekend is a busy weekend as we have the childrens xmas party sunday plus i am working all weekend again this weekend..good this next week is my last week and then i will be off for a week.. the diet thing in my house is still there..i deecied to buy myself the weight watchers at home kit for a xmas present to myself as i tried it for a week and lost 3 lbs..woohoo...

are all the kids excited for santa to come??

Today I had to cancel our reservation. My Dad has been diagnosed with stomach cancer and it has already spread to his liver. It is inoperable but we will be meeting with an oncologist next week to see what treatment options are available. We hadn't told our girls about the trip yet, so I'm thankful for that. I am SO thankful for the wonderful DIS cruise we had in May 2005 - it was our first, and our last big trip with my parents. We created some wonderful memories that we will all cherish. I hope all of you do the same - have an amazing cruise and create some wonderful memories.

Hey Sailors!

Can we join this group? We're Ilona and Kyra from The Netherlands and are really looking forward to our next cruise.
We are two DDG's ( disney-dutch-girls, aha new one! ) and we'll be doing this cruise for the second time together.
Our first time was X-mas 2004, and we loved it.
We booked early this time ( to our standards any way, we can't beat you americans that book things like this 2 years in advance... ...)
We'll be somewhere in the bottom half of the ship in a cat. 11 cabin, and that's fine with us...We don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room anyway.
Before we get to the ship we plan on looking around in California/nevada a bit and of course we'll do the Disney world thing in Florida. All in all we plan on spending 3 weeks in the US.... If you let us in ...
You don't want to know about the US customs these days.
But hey,
let's have some fun .

I am so sorry to hear about your Father. We will also keep your family in our thoughts. I have been so busy, worried and stressed about our jobs, etc. but it's things like that that put priorities back into place.
I will try to get back on before Christmas...but if not, I hope everyone has a wonderful, jewelry filled Christmas. We did for Kaylin, but are not going to do for each other this year. With our new home and the expenses and the cruise coming up, we decided that is enough!
Kaylin got her cards out to everyone today...be warned, she wanted to home make them! She spent so much time on them!

Welcome Ilona & Kyra You are so welcome to join us! DDG what a great name. We will remember that. If you find time tell us a little about yourselves.
We have all given a small idea who we are. I am Karen 52 and my DH Bob 53 and our Very DGD 5 at the time of cruise will be making our first Disney cruise. Bob and I have cruised to the Mexican Riviera, Tahiti and the British Isles. We live in southern CA and are AP at Disneyland. We all are so excited and if you read back on this thread you will see everyone is so ready to go. We try to exchange tips and such and are just trying to get to know each other a bit with daily life. So pop in anytime, it's a busy time for all right now with Christmas coming but January the countdown is really on!!

Okay, the kids Christmas cards are not quite done. The drama could only get 3 cards done last night. One for her teacher, one for her other grandparents (you know how long it takes to write dear grandma and grandpa love madison when you are only 4!!!)
I will get her to finish the rest when we pick her up from pre-school this afternoon. And the picture thingie did not get done with us either so maybe I can figure out how to attach here.
Christmas shopping is not done.....I have painters coming today to paint the familyroom, kitchen and downstairs bathroom.....Thursday is a fun day though my oldest daughter Jen, (Madison's mom), Madison and I are going to Hollywood Pantages Theatre to see the Lion King.

Welcome Ilona & Kyra ... My name is Tracy(36) and my crew is dh(43), DD Amber (4 at time of cruise) and Jonathan (15 time of cruise)

I finally got the rest of my shopping done yesterday. Will be sooo glad when this week is over with..i am so stessed out with working 7 day weeks that i am looking forward to next week off..heck even to the point i told dh i should have booked us on a cruise for xmas break..lol

I hope the new year goes quick to our cruise and then goes really slow while we are on the cruise..yeah right never happens that way does it?? DD has a sinus infection again.

I am not getting emails saying there are posts here all the time..maybe once every 4 -5 posts..is this normal?
