Sorry to change the subject a little... I will be on the May 5th Western Caribbean. This is our first
Disney Cruise. Is there any specific advice or ideas I should remember. Total of 6 adults and 4 kids. I think we have early seating. Any help would be great. Considering using a limo company for transport from MCO, and staying at the Radisson. Thanks

Hi Drew and

Several Disers are sailing with you and your family. For a complete list of who is sailing check out the first page of this thread, post # 15. If you let me know everyone's names (and relation to you) as well as the kids' ages, I'll add everybody to our roll call list. Some of the kids are emailing other kids near their ages in advance so that they will already have friends to connect with upon embarkation.
My name is Kimberly (aka Michigan Kim) and I'm sailing with my husband Brian and our son Devin who will be just shy of 3 years when we sail. DH and I have cruised before but never on
DCL and this is DS's first cruise ever. We have early seating as well. With a group of 10 you should all be seated together. I'm hoping for APL rotation (since at 5:30 pm, its the earliest of the early seating) but I won't be disappointed if we don't receive it. PLA starts at 5:45 pm and LAP starts at 6:00 pm.
We haven't committed to any hotel yet, but we too are considering the Radisson. A limo is certainly an option for anyone who doesn't want to drive and if you search the DCL Forum board you'll find plenty of recommendations. We have found that for our family of 3 it is more cost effective, and allows more flexibility to rent a car at MCO (probably from Budget), drive to the hotel, and make a few stops for last minute items if necessary. Saturday morning I'll drop my family off at the terminal, return the car just down the street and take Budget's free shuttle back to the terminal. A one day diet SUV rental will cost us about $45 (using promo codes from Mousesavers).
By the way, though movies and perhaps activities are subject to change you may want to check out the recent Navigators to get an idea of what is going on when. Here is a link
http://home.mchsi.com/~stuffy2000/ Formal night is Monday (first day at sea). Pirate night is Wednesday (Cozumel, but don't be confused by recent Navigators that list it on Tuesday as my understanding is that was a temporary change just to give the staff a little extra R&R in Cozumel). Semi-Formal night is Thursday (2nd at sea day). If you plan to do excursions you may want to give it some thought as they tend to fill up quick and for that reason people try to book ASAP. The Navigators will give a list with meeting times and you can find the description of what is offered on DCL's website. Some people prefer to book DCL excursions for convenience. Others prefer to book on their own because its generally a little cheaper with more personalized service.
As for advice/information, there are some here who are veteran DCL cruisers so feel free to ask questions and hopefully someone will have an answer for you.
