May 5, 2012 Fantasy

I can feel the "too excited to sleep" coming on!! Made it to our hotel in town this afternoon. We ate at Fishlips and were able to watch the Magic set sail tonight, then met up with some local friends and spent a bit of time at the beach. Now that it's time to wind down I can't reax!! So excited about tomorrow!!

Thank you so much to everyone that participated in the FE! It was like :santa: was on board. We, especially the kids, really enjoyed all of the fun and creative gifts! Hope you all enjoyed the Fantasy!

Now, back to my least favorite part of vacation.....:laundy:......

Now, back to my least favorite part of vacation.....:laundy:......

We had a great time too. We need to go get a new washing machine before we can do our laundry. My brother and sister inlaw stayed at our house and the washer burned up. So we are off to Home Depot.

i'm now back to the UK - LONGGGG journey home - arrived at 9:30am this morning, followed by a two hour drive home and I've tried to stay awake all day in some kind of effort to avoid Jet Lag (Don't think it will work, it always affects me bad).

Great to meet up with you, especially those of you who met me for pictures - I'll be sure to put some of the 1500+ photos I took online somewhere for you to get them - Might be a couple of days which I sort myself out and adjust to time difference etc.

Back to work tomorrow :(

Anyone else thinking 'This time last week....'?

Oh and as you can see I'm back over to WDW in 3 weeks :) And I did book the EBTA for next May - Now looking at booking something for Jan 2013 and possibly November 2012 when I am due to be in Texas (and Galveston is so close it would be rude not to...)

So sad to be back! But what a wonderful cruise and THANK YOU for all the FE goodies!! My girls just LOVED finding new gifts by our door!! :goodvibes We ended up rebooking onboard for March 9th 2013 Eastern Caribbean--but instead of a stop at St. Maarten there is a stop at San Juan!

Ah, back at work, blah.

Thanks for all the great FE gifts everyone! We had a great time delivering and receiving them. It was nice to meet people at the meet up as well. We have a dummy cruise booked right now, not sure when we'll actually go, maybe Panama Canal 2013.

my DD and I had a great time and met some new friends... we re-booked for May 11, 2013 on the Fantasy going Westbound this time!

Everything was seamless and perfect... from the luggage transfer from the Hyatt to embarkation to dinners to shows to.... the list is endless.

I also LOVED seeing the RCCL crowd starring at The Fantasy as their ship pulled in to St Thomas!

Another one rolling back into work... yuck! Just wanted to say that it was great to meet those that made it to the meet up & those that I tracked down that didn't! :rotfl:

I can't believe it's all over so soon! The ship was just beautiful, Satellite Falls is by far my favorite place on any of the ships. They did a great job with the additions.

We are also booked for the St Thomas/San Juan Eastern next April 20th! :thumbsup2

Well I have gone a bit crazy!

Booked the EBTA May 18th 2013 whilst onboard, but just booked a B2B on Dream in January 2013.

As I should be in Texas in November I might sneak another one in there if I get a chance and best of all I'm back with the Mouse (In Orlando) in less than 3 weeks :)

It was a fun and eventful trip for us but now back to the grind...alas! We're booked next year on the EBTA (our favourite cruise) but we're now trying to find ways to TX :),Barcelona not a problem but TX seems harder hahahaha.

Glad to have met those of you we did it was a blast!

We shopped the EBTA while onboard, but I just don't think we can get 3 weeks away from work, which is how this would end up as I can't swing back through Europe and not go visit Mum in the UK.:upsidedow So jealous of all you guys booking this one. Barcelona return is $$$ for us in TX - I think I found it about $1600 one way - each person.

A return will be cheaper than a one way - Just don't use the return portion. I've seen flights this year with Iberia (although the flight is with American) for £400 (about $650) - I am hoping those sort of prices will be available when flights for next year come around. It's a shame we can't book return flights and share them out - I need to get out to Texas, you need to get back.

We have a bank holiday here in the UK on the 27th May and that one extra day helps - I will have to fly out to Texas on the Friday before the cruise which means I will use 10 days leave (good thing I get 45 days leave a year!). Obviously Barcelona is only a 90 minute flight home for me and european flights are thankfully pretty cheap.

OK all - I have whittled down my 1700 photos down to about 300 which I can share with you. I have uploaded low res watermarked images that you can all help yourself to.

I am happy to provide high res non-watermarked images to anyone who wants them.

If you would like to use any of my images, I would ask the following:

  • If you wish to use any of the images please let me know
  • If you wish to put any images online please let me know and also please mention who took them posting a link to my flickr page (http://www.flickr.com/p17blo)

The images are available here http://www.photobucket.com/dclfantasy

Personally I would click the 'view all' option, click an image to view it larger and use your arrow keys to scroll through the images - They are pretty small in file size so you can scroll through them quick enough.

I will only be keeping these photos online for a few weeks, so please take the opportunity to view them before they are taken down.

NONE of these images have been edited as yet - Look out for my edited photos appearing in my Flickr album soon.

And lastly, thank you to those I met whilst onboard and allowed me to take photos of you - I have emailed you all today with links to the photos I have taken. I hope you like them and I look forward to hearing from you.

Any feedback you have on any of my photos is always greatly appreciated.

Paul, these are absolutely amazing. If its ok I'd like to post a few in my album on FB. I "liked" them in your album.

I'm jealous of all the plans you've made!! We'll be going on Carnival next year :( but will be keeping eyes and ears peeled in the fall hoping they release more Hawaii itineraries for 2014!!

Sure, go for it - If you are happy with using the ones I posted online you can download those and upload them on your own Facebook (rather than post a link to them as remember they won't be online for ever). If you'd prefer higher res ones let me know and I will send you some. I think for Facebook low res is usually OK. The high res ones would be better for printing etc.

 Hey Guys

We landed back in the UK on Saturday after an AMAZING holiday. We absolutely loved the Fantasy :lovestruc This was our 13th cruise, and it was definitely one of our best

Sorry I missed the meet, I totally forgot about it, though I think I was just excited about our High Tea reservation at Palo at 3pm :)
