Am finally packing! Who else is terrified that they will forget something important?

I'm pulling an all nighter getting us packed. (And, realizing I'm way too old to do this anymore!) Ugh! I hate packing. It's my least favorite part of traveling. I have piles and lists all over. Hopefully nothing truly important will be left behind.

Pirate costumes - check!
Formals - check!
Semi-formals - check!
Passports -check!
Someplace to lay our weary heads - hee, hee - just booked. Nothing like waiting till the last minute!

Back to laundry and packing. It will all be worth it once we get to Barcelona - (keeps repeating as she fights off sleep).

Checked the Barcelona weather report a few places - still looks like some cool rainy days before we sail.

Started packing full force today. Got the little one's stuff nearly done. But now Im thinking I should be packing more warmer clothes as its only about 50 degrees today in the UK and I'm FREEZING!
I think I'm overpacking for myself and I'm sure I'll forget LOTS of things!


Anyway stressful day to say the least but it started off with a job interview this morning which I feel I 'bagged it'.

Today's the kids' last day of school for two weeks so I'm off to pick them up. Let the madness begin! Two days till Barcelona bound!

I haven't started packing yet, so I don't know yet if I'm going to cry . I've got lists, I've purchased everything off of the "to buy" list. I've got all formal clothes and pirate costumes hanging in a group in the closet.....except my formal gown because it STILL has not arrived , I don't think it is going to make it which makes me a bit sad. I ordered it about 3 weeks ago and it was shipped priority mail on the 15th, normally it would have been here by now, but the snafu with the volcano has some of the APO mail shipments backed up. We have been recieving things that we just ordered last week (my DD bought some Littlest Pet Shop toys off of ebay) all this week....apparently the newest stuff is coming first and the older stuff comes last, makes no sense, they should take care of the oldest packages first.....vent, vent, sad .

We have been dogsitting all week, and I wanted to wait until he went home, before starting to pack for the trip. I didn't want to be bringing a bunch of lab hair on our trip!! Ok, I guess I best get my rear in gear! Good luck everyone, safe travels, may everyone fit what they want into their luggage and I hope no bags get misdirected. Meet you all soon!!

I feel like crying today. Finally got Veronica healthy and was feeling over my cold, and woke up nauseous and with what feels like food poisoning. Thank goodness Veronica is doing well today because I don't think I could take care of her and myself. I just want everything to go smoothly in these days leading up to the trip. DH still has 3 different grad school assignments to write before we leave, so he has not been in planning mode. I am terrified that I won't think of something important. And you guys are the only ones I have to share this trip with right now. No one else in my family is into Disney or has ever been to Europe (or has any desire to go). I need a vacation!

Ugh! Feel better Kaleigh. At least your daughter is better now - it would be almost impossible (emotionally) to leave if she was still sick. You'll get plenty of R&R on the trip. It's going to be awesome!

Awe, God bless us all! How I get through stressful times is I tell myself "this time next week I'll be..." It does help get me through. Like my grandmother used to say "things always have a way of working out." And work out it will! We'll all be happy, healthy and with our formal and pirate clothes hanging nicely in our staterooms!

Made it to Barcelona! No rain, but sure is cold!

Got the house cleaned. Picked up the drycleaning. Looking through princess costumes right now. Finished the laundry. Now it's off to start packing.

I decieded to skip out on the girls Lacrosse game tonight. Just too much to do. It's only clinic for my 6 year old but I still feel guilty.

My husband comes home tonight so that should help. I think I may kick everyone out the house tomorow so I can pack in peace.

Can't wait to leave. My sister and niece left today.

Hey everybody. Sorry I have not been around more, school has been extremely busy this last month and exams were killer. Everything has wrapped up and I am now back home getting ready to leave. Aww... The only reason I started packing when I did was because I had to pack to go to Orlando. I packed entirely too much, but I figure I'll sort it all out and narrow it down, because I can leave some of it at my parents house, since we'll be coming back here after the trip. I finally found some pants and capris that will be good for touring today. Thank goodness for the outlet mall!

I keep watching the weather and it seems like it wil be chilly in a few ports but warm up... I am hoping it will get better. It seems to keep changing. Hopefully we won't have to have the sail away party indoors!

We still have a few more things to do, so I'm sure there will be a few last minute things.

I am packing today after I get everything washed that is... Anyway I'm sure if any of us forget anything we can help each other out and we can also buy things in port. Just make sure you get on that cruise lol. The weather is kind of a bummer to me, but what are you going to do? We leave tomorrow morning, but I'm thankful it will only be a 5 hour flight or so for us this time around.

Just read it will be in the 60s/70s That's a heatwave for us. I think we only got upt to 50 yesterday. Some folks still walking around in their winter coats here. I was tempted!

DH and I went out yesterday and I was wearing my winter coat and he was wearing a t-shirt, we must have looked a bit odd, lol. But in his mind it is summer now, whereas in my mind it is fecking freezing!!!!

I have just seen somewhere that if you leave a pillow case or t-shirt at reception in a bag with your room number on it, it will be returned to your room on the last night with all the character signatures on it. So I've been frantically running around trying to get a nice white pillow case for my little girl. We have got some iron on transfers so are going to put her name on it and hand it in without her knowing, her face will be a picture when she gets it back
