May 31, 2007 Wonder

We got our buttons yesterday. Look good.

Breakfast on Nassau day is fine with us, we are pretty flexible with our plans.

Right now I am just getting antsy to go! I have a countdown board on the mantel so we can keep up with it. After 14 months of anticipation it is like, okay, let's just get going!

This is an "instead of" trip for DD. Her class trip is scheduled about the same time for NYC. We opted for a family trip instead (she didn't want to go to NYC).

Last night we watched a show we TiVoed (how did we live without TiVo!) about the DCL. It started with how they made the boats (in two separate pieces in two different ship yards!) and how they designed the boat (exterior and interior). It showed some different rooms, the restaurants and activities on board, including the club and lab for kids. This got my boys very excited and we are all very ready to cruise! Now we realize that 3 days is not near enough time to do experience half of what the ship offers! Guess this means we will have to do another cruise next year! :sail:

Hi all!

I just ordered my buttons & door magnet (feeling very behind since the rest of you already have yours!!!) My excuse is that we were also the last to book :lmao:

We decided to "cave in" and try the Blackbeard's Cay Stingray excursion while in Nassua. I promised myself we'd stay onboard and enjoy the ship in Nassau but we loved the dolphins so much last time that we are planning to try the rays this time! I would wait the shorter "excursion" at CC but youngest DD doesn't make 5 year age cut off there.

We will definitely do sail away meet but we are night owls and will be pushing it to make our 9:45 a.m. excursion in Nassau:rotfl: . Sad, but true. My DD4 already has to be dragged out of bed in the a.m. - I will never make it through the teenage years!!!!::rotfl2:

Hope everyone is well! I wish we were leaving tomorrow...except, of course, procrastinator that I am, I haven't even thought about packing!

Hi Amy,

That program is the one my BIL put on a DVD for us to watch. My wife watched it, so I asked how about we go on a cruise out of Galveston like your BIL. She said lets go on a Disney cruise and thats when I started making out the travel plans.

Well we only have 26 more days til we leave for Disney World and the cruise a few days later.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Jim.

So with less than a month ago, what are you looking forward to the most on the cruise ship? I love sitting on deck 4 and watching the ocean go by. Always bring a book along but never read it because I sit and talk to DH, and watch the ocean. What about the rest of you??

Any characters that the children are interested in seeing?

Going to watch a rugby match - check in soon .

Mal

I don't get much reading done either - I love to people watch and talk LOL.

Kathy

Everyone have a great week - 32 days left til we set sail.

I'm here, taking 2 classes at the local community college this year and tonight was my final. Yuck. Tomorrow is weigh in at my center, last monday I was down 20lbs total, but I feel icky and I think I'm up a pound or two.

Looking at the recent (Feb) Navigator I saw that the kids in the Lab don't do the "So you wanna be a pirate" training with captian hook. :sad2: DS had so much fun with that last year. But they DO have a game cube tournament... He otta like that. :)

We are trying to talk my in-laws into coming with us on the trip. They are actually considering it... I told them to just surprise us and show up at the port. ;)

Mal, I try to avoid the characters pretty much... I'm skeerd.

But I am looking forward to 80's night dancing :woohoo: (if I can stay awake that late!) and getting some good R&R.

Nassau Day DH and I scheduled some quiet time. :thumbsup2 Sending DD to Flounders and DS to the Lab. Then I'm thinking we are going to head to the adult pool for some R&R. Ahhhh...

Oh and we canceled Palo, maybe next time.

Happy Monday to all as well.

What do you mean pack we are ready to leave :). Only 4 more weeks til we leave for WDW.

Here is our updated lists:

DH :eeyore: : Skeerd of Disney witches, but not your MIL!?! WOW. Just kidding, my MIL will be next to us this cruise and its gonna be great.

I wanted to post some links of interest - on our last Disney cruise, we had a wonderful contributer, Erica, who provided a fantastic trip report that I hope you enjoy! Also, check out some great photos from past cruisers...

Ooo nice report, that girl can write!

Erica had our same server, Dinesh! I think that's how you spell his name. He rocked. Wonder if he's still there? hmmm....

Sounds like a good time to me. :) but I'll have das kids so I turn into a pumpkin at midnight when Flounders closes. To bad because 80's night sounds funer than I had imagined!

Well from the response we've had on this board - I have to hope that we will have the Wonder all to ourselves for a big ole party. :confused3

ILoveOKW - I think you may be right. I can't imagine the Disney boat will be empty, I'm just suprised how few people are on this board. I actually hope its not too crowded, I may try to get an upgrade, but then I won't be near mom, HMMM

Agraygirl - hope the finals went well, what are you studying? I'm just glad I don't have to take any more exams. At least it will all be behind you on the cruise. I'm getting so excited. I know its silly but I just realized its MAY and we leave in MAY -- YIPPEE SKIPPEE

No, I'm not packed, Have not lost any weight, Do not have my door signs made, and have not even gone to get my Mickey Heads. OH MY I better get started.

Everyone have a great Day!

What a long weekend! I don't get to say that too often. Usually we have a million things going on, but this weekend we were able to get some stuff done around the house. Then I took the day off yesterday to stay home with DH who cut his leg on our tractor on Sunday. 5 hours and 10 stitches later we were home from the ER!

As I have never been on a cruise before, I don't have one thing I am particularly looking forward to. I do think that after 4 days at the park with my 2 boys, I will be ready to let them go to the Lab so DH and I can enjoy some adult time

Neither of us are big dancers. Rhythm is not in our veins!!
I have heard there are lines to see the characters in WDW, so I am hoping the kids get to see them a little more on the ship.

I think we are really looking forward to Castaway Cay spending the day lounging on the beach. The boys seem pretty interested in the archeological dig they have there for the kids.

Better get my nose back to the grindstone!

Project management for the web.
My degree is in Website design. :) WHich is turning out to be pretty stressful.

Same here, except the weight part... I didnt loose any last week though.. doing LA Weightloss down 20 pounds since March 1 Ive got 35 more pounds to go. I get counseling from them 3 days a week so I don't gorge myself.

They did say I should have fun and eat what I want on my vacation and that if I wanted I could print off the menus and they can tell me what the lesser of the evils is... I may do that but meh. I like food.

Oh oh!! Speaking of food!! We got reservations at Cinderella castle!! Yay!!

You know Im more excited about the cruise than WDW. I even have a PAL Mickey... Disney World is magical, what the heck is wrong with me?! DH an I considered cancelling our WDW trip and doing a 4 day cruise before our 3 Day... but it didn't fly with the DS... argh.
