Yes, large portholes on all deck 2 cat 9.
WOOHOO! Me and the kids just did a happy dance- and now I have a headache from jumping and dancing with them. LOL
Yes, large portholes on all deck 2 cat 9.
It seems that they've started working on our cruise as....
We were UPGRADED!!!!
We went from a Cat 9 on Deck 2 (w/an assigned room number) to a Cat 6 on Deck 5.
I'm thrilled!!
Good luck to all of you waiting for room assignments.

Did you like deck 1?????Got 6105!!! Not bad, new deck for us, we have always sailed on deck 2 or deck 1 and it's a cat 11...
Hey you're practically right under us! Hopefully we can meet up sometime but it definitely makes it easy on me on the FE exchange with your little one's gifts.Just got our rooms...upgraded to Cat. 10...inside # 1047 and 1049...oh well no porthole for us but at least they're next to each other!!!
That's sorta near where we were on our last cruise- we were deck 6 (one cat 6 and one cat 11 across the hall) 6130 & 6131--- we liked it- no feelings of seasickness anyway. LOL We had deck 5 forward first cruise, deck 6 aft second cruise... is it better (or worse?) on deck 2 as far as feeling motion when in your room?Got 6105!!! That's what I had read but it's very outdated. For instance our reviews were 2005, 2006 and 2007- all before OQ was set up for the 11-13yr olds which is right there next to our rooms. So the noise/activity level might be quite different now. Here's the link to room reports if you want to check yours out:

I saw they were outdate dtoo. As far as seeing CC...I read that the ship can dock both ways. That's what I had read but it's very outdated. Also I'm confused how one report for one of our rooms said they can see the island when docked at CC- aren't we on the side that would be facing the port dock/walking area and not the beaches? Those reviews are old and confusing. LOL Did the ship used to come in forward instead of aft first?
Oh i didn't know that!I saw they were outdate dtoo. As far as seeing CC...I read that the ship can dock both ways.
Oh I didn't know it could dock both ways!Well, I'm happy, DD won't be. We got cat 10, 2133 and 2131. I like the double bath and the fact that at least 2133 is a 4 person room. I haven't been able to confirm 2131. DD was hoping for an upgrade to a window. I'm happy that the rooms are next to each other--was concerned about that with the kids.
As to above post about seeing Castaway--the ship can dock either way. Normally it backs in, but we've seen it do both. People who choose a side based on what view they want can be disappointed!
I don't know either. I'm kinda curious if our rooms have bunks because in the kids room that might work out well. Last time they had a cat 11 and we seperated the bed so they could all have a seperate bed (plus it made the room seem more roomy with the bed apart as two semi-twin beds and DS slept on the sofa bed)- but this time with the bed in the middle and not along the back wall.. I'm not sure how that would work seperating the bed. The girls can sleep together but our youngest is a WILD sleeper- she won't fall off beds but she'll bruise and beat up whoever else is in the bed with her- so her sister would be bruised and beaten up every night. LOL Plus the first cruise we had a bunk and she was too young, IMO, to sleep in the bunk so DS did. I know my youngest DD would LOVE to sleep on the bunk if there is one!Anyone know for sure if the rooms I have have top bunks??? I assume they do but wanted to check.
Oh no!We are category 12, room 2031. Was hoping for upgrade to cat 10 for the split bathroom. Oh well, maybe it will change again ...
We got ours today.
We knew we would get at least an 11 as there are 4 of us.
We are in 6101 (for now) mid-ship on deck 6.
Not as much pixie dust as we were hoping for.
Now we are going to try and work some magic of our own.
Congrats and good luck to everyone else.

There was a review from Dec 2008 for 2048:
Notes: Nice room, big port hole window, wofa placed by the window, split bath, sleeps only 3 (no pull down bed, and has a steamer trunk. Location was good. No noise to mention.
I know it's not yours but close anyway.

CHECK FOR ASSIGNMENTS!!!
I just checked and OMG we got upgraded! I really didn't think we would- since we had 2 in one room and 3 in the other- but we are showing rooms # 2050 and #2052 so not only did we get upgraded to cat 9..... but we also got rooms right next to one another!
