Other things that I can not do without...

*Extension cord* (takes up less room than a power strip)
*Lighted digital clock for inside cabins* (so you can see what time it is in the middle of the night)
*Night light* (so you can find the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night)
*Baggies of various sizes*
*Umbrellas* (just in case it rains, because usually one day of the trip it will)
*Address Labels* (so you don't have to write your info on all of those baggage claim tags)
*Wrinkle spray* (just spray your clothes before hanging and they will be wrinkle free and ready to wear without ironing)

We were UPGRADED!!!!

We went from a Cat 9 on Deck 2 (w/an assigned room number) to a Cat 6 on Deck 5.

I'm thrilled!!

Way to go. I had to check mine and still GTY. Hopefully they will work their way down soon. I knew as soon as I sent out the FE list they would start assigning rooms. Now I just have to wash my car so we can get some rain.

Oh Karen- are you able to update/edit the title of this thread to put in the cruise group name now? Disney Cruisin' Budgeteers is the one that won the poll, I think? LOL I get them confused so you better double check the poll before fixing the title of this thread.... don't depend on me to get it right. LOL

OMG OMG how exciting! What an awesome upgrade!!!!!!!!!!
I imagine they have to go from the top down- you know upgrading the other categories before they can figure out where all the cat 12 gtys will go! Congrats on such an awesome upgrade!!!!

Bruce- I knew it too! When you said that before about as soon as you put out the updated FE then the assignments will start... I figured it would happen just like that- and you were right! LOL Sounds like you have my kinda luck in that respect. LOL@washing the car and rain- totally always happens to me that way!

Laura- that's a great list too. I bring every one of those and can't stress enough how great the baggies were- that's the best way to take room service (cookies, uncrustables, etc.) to go with you at the ports! hehe

I just checked and OMG we got upgraded! I really didn't think we would- since we had 2 in one room and 3 in the other- but we are showing rooms # 2050 and #2052 so not only did we get upgraded to cat 9..... but we also got rooms right next to one another!

I need to look to see what kind of rooms they are. Do they have portholes at all? Are they noisey? (if they are we will just deal with it obviously!) It's near the midship elevators which works on going up and down to the lab- is it near the OQ for my son?? Is it TOO close so it's really noisey? I don't know! Is it too close to the OQ so I better be careful with my magnets/etc. being messed with by the tweens in OQ? Things to check out! LOL

Someone tell me- do cat 9's on deck 2 have the large portholes? If so, this will be the best room the kids have ever had! LOL Our first cruise was the SPH connecting rooms (ie: large porthole but obstructed view) and then our last cruise we had the verandah and the kids had cat 11 across the hall. Yes we shared our verandah but still THEIR room was inside. Yanno? So if these have large portholes- without the obstructed view- it will actually be their best room yet... and we paid for cat 12 gty! woopee!

I'm reading the reports but they are all OLD like from 2005... I imagine the reports would be different now with OQ right there. Now I have to just make sure I brainwash (hehe) my son to not EVER let anyone in our stateroom or invite them in/etc. Being that close I could see that happening!

Yes, large portholes on all deck 2 cat 9.

Well bright side- you're closer to the lab maybe? I'm not sure of where that room is. And you're definitely closer to the soda machine. LOL Our rooms for this cruise will be the furthest we've ever been from the soda machine and pools- we'll get our exercise! LOL

So you really liked deck 2? Our first cruise we were on deck 5 one end of the ship- and then the next we were deck 6 on the other end of the ship- this time deck 2 midship... I hope we like it and don't get seasick or anything? LOL When you really liked deck 2 were you near OQ at the time?
