So basically unless it mentions it in the review- there is no way to find out which rooms have the bunk? But I'm going to assume that our rooms don't have it if 2048 doesn't. Would have been nice but we'll figure out sleeping arrangements somehow, that's for sure. hehe That may be why we got the upgrade- if they only sleep 3 that makes sense since our reservations are 2 in one room, 3 in the other... those that have 4 in the room couldn't possibly get this upgrade to a room that only sleeps 3, right? yanno?

(just read on that other website that most 8's or 9's sleep 3..... only "some" sleep 4. And it says cat 10 & 11 sleeps 4... that's all it says- no mention of "some" sleeping 4. So it looks like lovesbydesign should know now that they'll have bunks!)

You may be right with your reasons why we got those over a party of 4, we are 2 and 2 so that makes since.

I just hope if one room doesn't have it that they both don't. We are splitting with dh & ds in one room and dd and I in another. Don't want to worry about "who gets the bunk" ya know????

I wonder if that review of 2048 was on the Magic or Wonder, that might make a difference in the noise.

Congrats to all of those with upgrades.....hoping for the upgrade fairy to still visit those who did not receive them.

Last cruise we had 2538and 2540. One slept 3 and the other slept 4.

Interesting.
We'd only "want" the bunk in one room anyway though- so if one of our rooms has the bunk that shall be deemed the kids room! LOL We'll check both rooms before deciding who is sleeping where and it will be based on if either has a bunk!

Knew we would get at least a Cat 11 since we had 4 in the Cat 12, but that is all we got. I am bummed, I have always had a split bathroom so it should be interesting to see how it works with 3 girls. We are in room 6071.

Aw, I'm sorry. But you know you might get upgraded again! I've read of many people who got more of an upgrade later on or even found out once they got to the port!
Is that on deck 6? I assume it is. Our kids were in a cat 11 on deck 6 last time and we liked that deck. We've only been on deck 5 or 6 though so we're used to it. LOL
I think it's really showing that maybe those with 4 couldn't get upgraded further because they are probably "sleeps 3" rooms? I bet I shouldn't get hopes up for a bunk in either of our rooms. LOL

Wow! I think that's the best upgrade that's been posted about yet! Inside to verandah... and honestly I think I'd prefer a navigator's verandah over a cat 6 anyway! Rock on!! congrats Karla!!!! (and Happy Anniversary to you guys too!)

Wow a lot of you on deck 6.... just interesting to note is all. LOL Should be a lot of DIS'er neighbors on that deck! Plus the rooms are near one another! So far we haven't had anyone with rooms very far apart- have we? I heard that happened on one of the other May cruises. I hope that doesn't happen to any of our group!

Happy anniversary to you both! We're celebrating our 25th anniversary onboard, too. I was hoping for an upgrade, but, oh well. Maybe they're not finished with the upgrades. I haven't checked this morning, but last night the only cat.6 available for 4 were gty. on deck 5. I've never seen that before for a cat.6. Maybe there's still some hope for us.

I agree with you. I was disappointed but now with the new morning and I have had time to sleep, I am just excited to be on the ship!!!! I feel very priviledged that I am able to take my family on a cruise!

Cat 10 on deck 7. I really liked deck 2 last time, but I can't complain.

I was hoping to get a higher upgrade, but glad that we have 2 sinks. It's hard to use one with 3 females and I'm sure Bruce will agree. Can't thank Bruce enough for all he does for our family. He's a gem! I love you, Bruce!

I still have faith the we may not be finished with upgrades. Atleast, that's my hope. Really excited to be able to go on DCL again so soon. Looking forward to meeting up with all of you and talk more. I know Bib and I are talkers. Hoping to be closer to all of you in room distance. Keep spreading the pixie dust. 5 weeks left! I am ready for some fun and relaxation. Just really need to get this house cleaned and organized before schools out. Congrats to all of us for the upgrades.

Checked this morning and we're in a cat 11 deck 6 right by the mid ship elevators. I'm glad we're more centrally located - my husband isn't fond of waiting on elevators. Also I broke my right arm 10 days ago so this makes it easier on me. Almost to that 30 day mark...I can't seem to think about anything else!

For those who don't know whether their cabin sleeps 3 or 4....there are a couple ways to find out.

You can check the room reports (one site posted above). Even though the reports are old, the issue of whether the room has or doesn't have the built in ceiling bunk doesn't change. The other way is that your TA should know (or can find out from DCL).

I really am laughing at all of us--we held our breath know that many of us would be upgraded. Now that we have assignments, we're still holding our collective breath hoping those of us on the inside will be pixie dusted again. We can hope...but odds have just decreased significantly!

I just checked the DCL website, and they are showing GTY for Category 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12. So lets all just hope that lots of people decide to join us in those lower cats, then those of us who did not get an upgrade will receive one! Like everyone else, I am just thrilled to be on the ship, whether I get an upgrade or not!

Again...not as much pixie dust as we hoped for....we are all on Deck 6, rear of the ship, in 6639, 6641, 6643, 6645 and 6647.....was SO hoping for either split bathrooms or a window....but again...we are just HAPPY to be cruising and we aren't in our cabins that much anyway....

Does anyone know at the rear of the ship on Deck 6, if that is an accessible deck off the cabins?? I can't tell from the Deck Plan, but that would be really cool if it is!!!
