May 3, 2003 - Magic Eastern Cruisers

Are we going to the promenade right after ythe muster- as in will we be wearing our life jackets or are people going to drop them off and then meet back there? I'd hate to miss everyone but those life jackets are a little uncomfortable unless you were really floating- in which case the discomfort wouild be hardly noticed i suspect!

WAAAAA HOOOOOOooooooooo
 did I say that???

Jeanne- We will be meeting right after muster, yes. Emmak and I will be going to stateroom to return life jackets first. It won't take that long. See you there.    :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Well it's 6 am over here and we're setting off to the airport for our flight to Florida!

We're on our way!!

Godspeed dear friend - we are all looking forward to meeting with you.

Rae

Can you believe that one of our "family" is already leaving for the cruise? Granted, Matthew has a conference first in FL, but the Barnard Family is on their way!!!! This is sooooo exciting!!!!!

Annie is now fattening up and yaps a lot. Must be the breed!!! I'm not used to a yappy little dog, but she's still delightful and her favorite thing to do is sit on someone's lap and be petted.
Ahhh, the dogs life for me!

I heard my favorite server might still be on the Magic - so I'm foregoing my late night Palo dinner plans in lieu of the expectation of requesting this server. It sounds like it will be his last cruise on his contract so it will be especially meaning for to us.
Keep your fingers crossed.

northernmouse - Cindi - I've been reading about your trials and tribulations dealing with airlines and the SARS threat. I am so glad that things worked out for you. It's always scary when you hear of something that can be fatal.

I had Mom at the MD yesterday because she's been sick lately. Almost to a point where I was going to cancel the cruise - yes! But MD says it's just a mild blockage of her carotid artery (tests) and he will treat her with medication. He also told her that she needed to "get away to relax" and I said, "We cruise next week!" And he told her that was just what he was going to suggest - a long restful vacation! Hey, if he puts it in writing, maybe it will be tax deductible!!! HAHAH!
(Always thinking about how to save money)

Anyway, we are just about all packed up and ready to go. Very exciting!!!!!

Rae

I can hardly stand the excitement! I woke up this morning and practically screamed when I realized in a week that I will be on a plane headed to Florida for a trip of a lifetime:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Do you think we need an "hour" countdown clock now?!

Ohhh, funny story here about "sweet tooth" Mom! After we finished at the MD/Hospital yesterday, she was told that she was a very healthy weight for her size (5"2" and 120 lbs). Now this isa woman who has been obsessed with her weight and appearance for nearly 75 years - and possibly in utero! When she heard that, we had to stop at Walgreens for medication and she found the 75% Easter Candy aisle. All the way home she kept saying, "Do you want to try this? How about one of these?"

To which I kept saying "no, thanks" - she was in heaven!!
It always makes me so happy to see her enjoying herself and her life. So glad the MD told her that because now she can have what she wants and be guilt free!!! Don't get between her and Cherries Jubilee though!!!!!!!!

You are all going to just love her, she's so wonderful!!!!!

It is all I can do not to scream!!!

One week from today we will be meeting my niece at the airport and catching the bus to the port. I can't wait to see the faces of the kids when we pull in:bounce:

If any of you remember that TV series "Seven Days", you'll understand why I'd like to repeat May 3 -10!!! I'm already anticipating the excitement and fun we are going to have!

Rae

Okay- why is my Sis considered a Dis Veteran and I am merely a "Welcomed Guest"?:)
I mean I am glad I am welcomed and all- but exactly what is the criteria for Veteran status?
Does officially diagnosed with carpal Tunnel syndrome count?
I'll do whatever it takes.

Will check later for answers....
right now......

I GOTTA DANCE!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce:

PS- I have called my doctor- I need a muscle relaxer for my face muscles- it's painful.

Post more and you'll get that status. I am not sure how many, but I think it's 75.

Carpal Tunnel?! SHEESH! You poor thing! Yes, get something for the pain. Preferably a Disney cruise within the next week!

Take care Jeanne!!!!

I'm pretty sure Rae that 75 was the "MAGIC" number when I reached my DIS Veteran Status.

Rae, I see you have already added the April 2005 sailing to your list. Yesterday, when I was changing my countdown clock to add my niece's mouse girl, I played with putting a countdown clock for the April 2005 cruise. When I saw that there was something like 700+ days to go, I changed my mind and put Angelina's teenage countdown back in. Maybe after her 13th birthday, I will put in a countdown clock for April 2005. Seven hundred plus days, was just a bit too much for me to handle!!! LOL!!!

Andy

700 days is too long - Andy, think of what is going to happen to us - we are going to turn 50!

700 days isn't long enough, pal!!!! I can wait! As long as I have other cruises inbetween that!

Rae

SEE- I knew she was online more then me!! And she does it at work- hehehe
GRANT ME VETERAN STATUS OR I'M TELLING!!!
