May 29, 2004---Who is with us?

Ahhhhhhh...................I can't help but think what I'll be doing 5 weeks from today, at 8:31 AM. :Pinkbounc

It's a great weekend here in Tampa. I already have my windows open. Makes me think of Cruising! Don't know why.....since this is how MOST mornings are in Tampa.

I hope everyone is as good of a mood as I am!

Fran:wave2:

Yes Fran, we feel the cruise spirit too!:goodvibes

I can't believe it's only five weeks away! We're all getting so excited! I don't know what I'm looking forward to the most. The midnight dessert buffet, the brunch at Palo, the shows, or, wait, I know..the sailaway party!

It's been asked before, but now as we get closer to sailing, what is everyone else here looking forward to?

I look forward to going to bed knowing that my cell phone will not ring. Waking up at 6:30 on sea days knowing that I do not have to do anything. And of course eating all the great food and trying new drinks and going to the shows.

Have a great weekend

Dave

SimbaNoodle & Chairee0.......any luck on the doc's? Who is buying the drinks????

It's our first cruise, so we are looking foward to everything..we don't know what to really expect...can't wait though.

XLT's cell phone NOT ringing all night.

Drinking coffee on the deck at 6:30

Spreading my towel out on my deck chair.

Palo lunch

Finally showing my mom, flhmom, what all the "disney cruise line mania" is all about.

Food, food, food!

Drinks of the day.

"The Horn"

to be continued............
Fran

The chandelier on the Magic (I just love the one on the Wonder and can't wait to see the Magic's in the lobby!

Having our family's name announced as we walk onboard (one of the reasons we always arrive early--makes us feel more important! :p

Showing my parents the Disney Cruise magic! (know what you mean techrmom!)

The horn.

Doing the electric slide with my 8 year old at the sail-away party (the little guy's pretty good!)

Having someone else wait on my kids at dinner! :teeth:

Surial bath ;)

Sunsets on the ocean (maybe an occasional sunrise)

And chocolate souffle from Palo---mmmmmmmmmmmm!

Thursday our AC died, we live in Virginia and were having our son's first birthday party on yesterday. Had to take half a day off work on Friday to install a brand new AC unit.

Once the installers were finished, I wrote the check and they drove off. There was a knock on the door five minutes later, I thought they had forgotten something...but alas no, there with a ray of sun beeming down upon it was the long awaited documents. :hyper:

Somehow the sting of getting a new AC didn't seem so bad.:teeth:

Looking forward to towel animals, endless horizons and the steel drum Disney songs on the 9th deck.

Just got back from the Eastern Magic, but already looking forward to:

Deck 10 sunrises with coffee
Horn blowing
Watching docking and leaving at ports (why?)
Rocking to sleep (naps and night)
Servers and being pampered
Wonderfully designed ship with great details
Things to do every minute or just relax and skip it
The shows were spectacular

:wave:Just returned from Alabama (business) and spoke with daughter (tchrmom). I had lost count while I was away so I am now getting really, really excited about this cruise because she and all of you sound just as excited!

This must be a busy week for everyone, as this board has been kind of slow. Maybe we're taking a rest from getting all worked up from excitement!:hyper:

We're gearing up for a busy month. We've got something (sometimes more than 1) going every weekend from now till departure, starting with DD5's 6th bday party this Sat. and nephew's baseball tournament Sat. and Sun. In addition, there are several school events that are on weekdays in May! Oh yeah, there's that work thing too!

Don't get between DW and I and the bar on May 29th! We will be SO ready for this vacation by then! What's the drink of the day on departure day?

Paul

PS. Has everyone received their doc yet?!

Hi Everybody! Just thought I would post and let you all know that my friend and I have decided to go on the May 29th cruise! We are both 24 - and have been friends since we were kids! We are both workaholics, so we are so looking forward to this cruise. We'll be staying at the Hyatt Friday night and will take transfers to the port the next morning. This is my friend's first cruise, but this will be my 4th Disney cruise. I can't wait!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Welcome, Quirky Cruiser!

NYDiscruisers, the 'drink of the day':drinking1 for embarkation day is 'Sea Breeze' (cranberry juice, vodka, grapefruit juice.)

May IS a busy month isn't it? School schedules, work schedules, preparing for the cruise (though that part's fun.)

We're so ready to walk onboard the Magic!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

May is very busy. We can't wait till the cruise. DS had a baseball game last night until 9pm. The good news is that our pool is starting to warm up. On Saturday, the pool got up to 78 degrees. Both kids swam, but it was still to cold for me and the wife.

Welcome to the thread Quirky Cruiser.

XLT800, did you ever think you would have this many hits and views when you began this thread.

Have a great day everyone.:wave2:

P.S. Called DCL yesterday, they said that there were no problems with my doc's, they just havn't gone out yet.

78 degree pool water is too cold for me. Tchrmom keeps ours set to a balmy 90 degrees. Feel great unless you have just mowed the lawn.

We also have a B-Day party to plan the Sat before the cruise for DD. It is going to be a very busy month but that should make it go fast.

Welcome Quirky Cruiser. The thread got started slowly but picked up quick. It sure helps pass the time. Simba....tell DCL that a drinks are on the line. You want your docs NOW!!!!

Anyone give anymore thought to having a meet after we get on the ship. Is everyone wearing lime green on Saturday?

Dave

First time poster here! Incredible wealth of information here and a multitude of hi-jacked threads ;). Just figuring out the acronyms, emoticoms and expressions here is post-graduate work alone!

May 29th (someone please set-up our timer) will be our second trip on the Magic. We went semi-blind into our 01' cruise and we still had the most incredible time. While not the place for a trip report our 9 year old girl at the time (whatever that acronym is) met two girls from Sacramento that are still friends to this day! They travel 2x a year to see each other every year since the Magic!

Now we have a 17 y/o girl along with the two 12 y/o girls (we evangelized a new convert to DCL) and the old people are both 43. Hoping to find a 15 y/o+ fellow DCL girl cruiser to meet up with her on the first day of intros at Common Grounds.

Well, time to read some more and I am sure we will post more in other areas as we have two days at WDW to sort out (we have never been to WDW) and don't have a clue yet how to organize those two days! We don't even have a room for WDW, but we are staying at the Hyatt Airport for the Friday night prior to the cruise...........

Yep, a busy month is ahead, which means even with all this planning I'll end up frantic the day before we leave trying to get everything washed and packed!

DS also has baseball Friday nights and Saturday mornings so its really busy all the time. Lake temperature around here is still a chilly 68 degrees--not quite to my liking yet--but hey, the ski boat cranked! :D

Dave, I'll try and find some lime green ribbon, but I'm probably not going to have my picture taken in lime green when I walk on board (it is fine for my Margarita, but not a color that looks good ON me!) ;)

Paul, I still can't get one of our family pictures to upload into the gallery for some reason--I'm usually tech literate but its just not working for me this time--maybe I'll save it in a different format and try that!

As far as the meet, I think we should meet in the Walt Disney suite, which SimbaNoodle is obviously getting upgraded to since his docs still aren't here. If that falls through, we can start out somewhere at the sailaway party and go from there since SimbaNoodle is buying us drinks! ;)

And has anyone ever noticed how many exclamation points I use in a post? What's up with that???!!!!

MMMMMMM Bay Breezes!!! The ONLY way I'll drink grapefruit juice! Welcome Desert Disney and Quirky Cruiser!

Almost May! Thank goodness!

Finishing up school, and closing down the classroom is going to keep me busy at work, as well as DD b-day.

Don't let XLT fool you...............90 degree water feels great ANYTIME!

I'm guessing that MY family will be the only ones in lime green t-shirts! I guess that means that tchrmom and XLT800 will be easy to spot.:hyper:

Who has their deposit $ ready to book again? XLT already knows that is part of the cash that we have to allot for.
::yes::

Have a great night! Happy cruise dreams to all!
