May 28, 2011 - 11 Night Mediterranean Sailing from Barcelona

Cindy, dear neighbour, I am glad to see you are back in cruise.

We were on the same cruise last year, and it will be also the case this year.

I definitely was not able to resist, we decided to reserve this cruise yesterday :dance3:

Could you add our party in the list:
maddisney (Belgium)
DW Olga
DH Marc (43)
DS Florian (1)
Early seating
Celebrating Florian 2nd birthday

Yay!!!!!! Welcome back. If you click on the link in my signature you will see a website that should look familiar to you from last year. I used the same information that they used last year and created another website for this year. It has a lot of information regarding the cruise, ports, and excursions. And, I've added some more to it.

See you on the cruise, neighbor.

Cindy

Hey everybody,

what does everyone think about the new DCL itineraries that have been announced today - cruises out of Galveston, out of New York, one big Hawaii cruise, and all that?

DH and I are really excited about the prospect of doing a cruise out of New York City, we have never been there and could combine it with some city sightseeing ... so exciting!

However, what a pity that there definitely won't be any European cruises in 2012, I am sure we would have loved to repeat the upcoming cruise experience once more (or do a Baltic cruise, which is literally in our back yard :)). Oh well, I guess I can just be glad that we decided to book this cruise now, and not wait another year for it only to find out it won't happen! :confused3

Melissa,

are you and Randy still joining us for the Rome tour? I haven't heard back from you lately. I've sent several PMs. If you are joining us please make sure you go to the Vatican website and by the 15 Euro tickets for 1030. Those are the only tickets you need to buy in advance. Our tour guide will get us the other tickets when we get there.

Cindy
Hi Cindy!
Sorry I have been MIA lately. A few crazy long days for us. Yes, we are absolutely still planning on going with you in Rome. Will get right on the ticket purchase - thanks for letting me know!

Hi all, did you see the new itineraries for 2012? New England, Alaska, and a 15 day cruise to Hawaii as well as three Pacific northwest cruises. I guess that's what you get when you add two new ships...a lot more options.

How significant are the onboard sales in terms of savings? We'll be thinking of booking our next cruise while we're on this trip...

Did anybody else notice that DCL's website now shows the Naples Onboard time of 7:00 pm? Originally it was posted at 9:00 pm. :confused3

Yes, I saw that too! I had made up an itinerary and had 9:00 listed.

Hi Everyone

I have just booked this cruise for myself (Krystyne) and my daughter (Angeline,19). We will also be on the Transatlantic immediately before this one. This is our 3rd Disney cruise but our first Mediterranean. Angeline was quite ill on the other 2 cruises as she was suffering badly from crohn's disease  but it is in remission now :yay: and she is so excited. We are both looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully making new friends :grouphug:. Oh, forgot to say we are from Perth, Western Australia.

Welcome to everyone new joining this cruise. It will be a fabulous time. Sorry....but all of my tours are now full (except 1 space in LaSpezia). Looking forward to meeting everyone very soon!

Welcome to all our new Med cruisers !!!!

It's getting so close and I'm already making out my packing list. Trying to pack light for a change ! I refuse to do laundry myself, but will use Disney's laundry service, like I have in the past. Money well spent IMHO.

I was looking at my FE List and noticed that I'm missing several cabin #'s.

Please, if you have your cabin assigned, let us know so we'll know where to drop off your goodie.:flower3:

We are still eagerly awaiting stateroom assignment. Checking daily, and something tells me, when they assign them, those of us who don't have them yet will be making a great big noise...:yay:

Question for the experienced packers: windbreakers or raincoats for the kids? In the spirit of keeping it light, I'm thinking windbreakers only, but no idea weather umbrellas will suffice if we have a couple of rainy days. Hope it doesn't rain for the pirate deck

Hi
I was wondering who still has private tours still open for 3 people. Sorry we got a late start but we will be there. :yay:

Try sending a PM to disneymom 13176, last I heard she had 3 seats available on several private tours. If you can't send a PM, send me an email and I will try and contact her for you.

Also, if you have other questions you can try checking the website I created for our cruise. I've put a lot of information on there for everyone, including private tour information. The link is in my signature block.

Hi All,

Other than the formal night, how fancy does one dress for dinner? Your excursion clothes ok? gotta get dressed up? I'm sure there are a lot of answers to this, but trying to plan for "the big pack" and starting to stress if we all need to bring fancy clothes for all 11 nights.

Thanks in advance I hope to meet many of you on the ship!:cool1:

Just got ahold of disneymom 13176 Thanks, we are working on something:banana:

I booked on Aoril 3 and I booked a guarranted room (1GT) I believe. I looked yesterday just to see if i had a room assignment and low and behold there it was room 2605 deck 2.. Figuring I was going to get and Cat 11 a,b ,or c. I was pleasently surprised to see Cat 10 b. I received a room anassignment in less than 1 week is this luck or what. Maybe because I booked air and all transfers, but who knows. I have a Non Stop on Friday 7:30 PM from Miami which arrives at BCN at 11:00 AM and my return is Non Stop into JFK then to Miami 2 hours later. Great travel plans all on American Airlines. :dance3::banana: Any one else on this flight?

The dress is the best part of a Disney cruise, it is not nearly as formal as other ships. Business casual is fine for dinner. Even shorts and polo. A little less formal for the kids too. I have been know to take my kids in shorts and a t-shirt. We usually only get dressed up for formal night, a dress not pants on semiformal night and then something a bit dressier but not formal for dinner at Palo's.

Don't feel like you need to stress dress on a Disney cruise. It is very family friendly and that includes dress during meals.

I hope this helps!
