Hi everyone! This is my first time on the boards....You may know my DH already....528Cruiser (Ed) and the girls Vanessa & Hannah. I wish I could have joined you all sooner to chat on the boards....but almost all of April I was sick. I've been well now for last 3 weeks. Hooray! I have been praying that we will all stay healthy for the actual DC trip.

Carrie....I hope Mattie gets well fast! The girls can hardly wait to meet everyone!

Did some shopping after dinner...at Target found some really cute princess stuff. On formal night, I want to have the girls find a bag filled with the princess things (pink nail polish, princess wand, etc). I'm going to say it's from either their fairy godmother or maybe one of the Disney princesses.

Anyway, I'm getting soooo excited about the trip, but also a little stressed out about packing as I have to try to do it without blowing the whole BIG secret (as you know the girls don't know we're even going on this cruise)!

Tomorrow (May 25) is Hannah's actual birthday and I haven't had time to throw her a party with friends...unless any of your girls might be interested in a princess party to celebrate Hannah's 5th birthday? I could have Hannah dress up as Sleeping Beauty (her favorite princess) and all the little girls could dress up as their favorite princesses. (Dress up is optional, of course.) Formal night would be too hectic and crazy to do a little party...but how about the day after (on Monday, May 30th, 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm (after kids have had lunch) and while ship is at sea?

Please let me know who out there is interested, so I could get a rough count and prepare some favors for the girls and possibly a few princess games. I could prepare extra favors, in case some don't get this message until the Ice Cream social. I know Hannah would be absolutely thrilled if this happened...another surprise!

Joy, I have no children either, but I do have an idea for you. (Unless you already have it) Disney has the CUTEST CD called Disney Princess Tea Party. I heard clips of it online http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...103-1162792-9043838?v=glance&s=music&n=507846 and thought how cute it would be to do a tea party for my daughter one day. Anyway, check it out. I've seen them for sale online, at Disneyland (Downtown at The World of Disney) and at WalMart. It's mostly little songs about getting dressed up for tea and "Every Girl Can Be a Princess", little stuff like that. You may also opt for just regular Disney music. Anyway, that's just my little suggestion. Hope she has a wonderful day.

As far as limits on wine, I hope someone can find out, because I think that the amount is VERY restricted... I'd hate to toss any out...! :

OK now this is serious. What do you mean restrictive? We have packed one suitcase specifically for alcohol with 2 champagne’s, 3 wines and one Kettle One vodka. If there is any enforcement of adult beverages limits, I guess the party will start early in the port parking lot. I've never spilled any alcohol in vain, and am not about to start.

Count Emily in on the party! She is my party girl (goes to lots of them and we throw BIG bashes as well). Does Hannah have the Disney version of Pretty Pretty Princess (not to give away her gift from Emi)? We are bringing a Belle dress and an Alice dress...so we'll be good (and can share).

Thanks for being the head wino! As far as limits...I don't believe there is a limit! What is in your checked luggage is your business, so if I want a luggage full of booze, I'm sure I can do it!

Let me know when you guys will be walking deck 4. I'd love to join you guys. I've tried getting to the gym onboard, it just doesn't work for me. Dh gets up and goes to the gym and then deck 9 for coffee.

What style do you practice?

I'm cool with some light sparring, certainly don't need any major injuries while on vacation. I have trained a bit in Wing Chun and Aikido, but mostly in American Kenpo. I have a 2nd brown in Kenpo plus a brown in Daito-Ryu Ju Jitsu (that was the throwing part of the video). I don't do tournaments, but have some familiarity with the rules. Ok, this really has to be the last one because I have got to run off to work. I realized that I hadn't picked the location for the 2 "take over a bar/lounge" days for the Green Navigator (I was actually updating it, but it - like everything else is on the "boat anchor" formerly known as out laptop"). I haven't been on a DCL cruise before so I don't know the bars - especially what time they are open, but how about the bars. I looked at the brochure and just guessed. How about Diversions for the first one and Rockin' Bar for the second one?????

Ummm, from the Sheraton, you could probably walk. I think it would be quite a walk though. You MAY want to bring your car. They dont charge for parking around the restraunts. I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOU GUYS!!
I too love the name Hannah. It reminds me of Sid's little sister on Toy Story. The girl who turns Buzz into Mrs. Nezbit. That kills me!

I am SO excited you guys don't even know!!! I have seen the pictures up around the park and I was so dissapointesd thinking that mine weren't chosen. And ALL the time, they were right there. They even tell you what row and column and side your on. I have to go TONIGHT and search myself out. A lot of them are from my wedding!!! Is that awesome! I'm watching a kid tonight till, 10. I'm just gonna have to DRAG her to Disneyland with me. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

CSnyder-I'd greatly love the assist in sparring a bit, nothing major just some light stuff to get my blood flowing... Don't worry, I'm not the painfully in shape karate guy you'd expect, I'm a pretty big guy, I have just learned to fight tactically, so I usually do fairly well at tournaments, but my real skill is weapons forms... sparring is one of my worst, though I did place 3rd in the Spring Nationals... I will be State Champ this year in Weapons, next year I am going for National Champion... What style do you practice?

Wow...the board has been jumping. We are updating the Lime Green Navigator and will be printing copies to bring along to our Scoops meet. I've been doing some last minute shopping in the evenings and during the day work has been busy in preparation for me being gone for a week. I will try to post an update tonight.

Enchanted......I saw you post on the "repo thread".....We've sailed 4 times and took "carry on" all 4 times......a word to the wise....only bring to favorite beverages in your "carry on" don't put it in your regular suitcase!!!! If it doesn't fit on the x-ray machine you CAN'T CARRY IT ON!!! They will take it and send it with the rest of the luggage and IT WILL get broke!!! JMHO
Here's what I do......I bring a "carry on" suicase with wheels on it. I put a couple of cases of beer and a couple bottles of wine/champane/booze etc. (You could bring 2 if you want, one for you and another sailing partner) don't forget a "2 liter" so you can refill if you mix! Then when you get to the stateroom ask your host for a "container" to keep them cold.....tip him/her (me I give a 20) right then and there.....your "bucket" will always be full of ice and beverages cold! Then when all the booze is gone, that carry on is perfect for bringing home souvineers..........Have a great sailing....looking foreward to your "live from" reports!!
