My DW wanted to ask if any of you ladies would like to jog or power-walk in Deck 4 in the mornings. She wanted to know if there are others who may want to join her in getting some early morning exercise and enjoy the sea breeze. A good way to get rid of the pounds from the previous day's calorie intake.

THIS IS REALLY GRAMMIEGAIL. OUR LAPTOP DIED LAST NIGHT AND I HAVE TO USE THE COMPUTER UPSTAIRS. IT SEEMS TO THINK I'M G.G.G. HA-NOT LIKELY!

This time it is REALLY, REALLY important that you know it's Grammiegail and not G.G.G.

I'd love to get out in the morning (while G.G.G. will still be checking his eyelids for light leaks)! These old knees can't jog, but I can strut my stuff with the best of them if we are walking. Count me in!

I'm sort of bummed because my psoriasis has flared. My legs are covered with spots that look like a bunch of mosquito bites. Just to be on the safe side I went to my dermatologist today to get a note saying that I don't have anything contagious. I'm trying to decide whether to repack or just go ahead and wear my shorts anyway. I'm leaning towards the latter. Maybe I'll spend a bunch of time in the Rainforest room. Steam seems to keep it at bay.

Susie- I have a problem myself (which I've had for years) of vitiligo. My calves have large white patches on them. I'm pretty pale normally, so it's not as traumatic as if I were darker skinned, but I haven't worn shorts in public in years. When I'm in a swimsuit, I use Dermablend on the spots to try to blend them in with my normal skin color. I'll be the one wearing alot of sarongs (no, not thongs, The Man.. ). Dermablend really works well,,they have a wide range of colors (I blend 2 of them together) and they are made specifically for skin problems (stretch marks, freckles or dark spots, scars, etc.). They sell it at Longs Drug Stores and fine department stores in the cosmetics dept. (I also have small patches on my elbow/forearm area, but they don't bother me.) The sarongs are great as I always get compliments on them, they're cheap ($15 or so at Cost Plus Imports) and I wear them over my swimsuit at the waist, then throw a t-shirt on if I'm going to a restaurant, etc. Very tropical feeling.
Skin problems run in our family as my older sister has the same problem as you. What the heck,,besides Guppy and maybe Brandy, I don't think any of us are 20 years old and flawless anymore! My friends and I always laugh that our "glory days" are behind us and we're just starting to accept it and embrace it. I think the theme to our Dancin' Fools night should be "Re-living our Glory Days"! Maybe we can each bring a picture of ourselves at our "peak" for a laugh and share stories of our crazy youth, then dance to our old songs!

2) Do any of you practice Martial Arts? I have the World Championships in mid-june and i would love a sparring partner...! :-)
Not sure I'm at a World Championship level, but I'd be game. I can take a fair amount of abuse, we did a demo at a local fair and I was the designated victim. I'm NOT the good looking young guy with the dark hair, I'm the one in the black shirt...

Now you two who said yall's belly gonna stay covered, bets are on that you won't be getting any of my Marti Gras beads either.
The Man

Like I said, my "glory days" are behind me. I lived in New Orleans for a few "crucial/crazy" years (17-21). The drinking age was 18...(didn't have a problem getting in anywhere at 17) and I have plenty of Mardi Gras beads and that's all I'll say. The really crazy stories are reserved for my Dancin' Fools team of ladies!;)

Thanks for the support. I may have to go look for this Dermablend. I have a bunch of the sarongs also and I was planning on bringing them also - I even have one lime green one. :)

If I do indeed bring it, I would be more than happy to hook you up with downloads and maybe even some image sharing. I'm bringing a digital camera that takes soundless digital movies and will be more than happy to take movies & stills of DIS pals.

THIS IS REALLY GRAMMIEGAIL. OUR LAPTOP DIED LAST NIGHT AND I HAVE TO USE THE COMPUTER UPSTAIRS. IT SEEMS TO THINK I'M G.G.G. HA-NOT LIKELY!

This will likely be my last post. Bob found us a hotel by the airport where we can leave our car for the vacation. It's a little cheaper than parking it offsite at the airport AND we can sleep in a little later in the morming!!!!!! Yahoo!!!! Anyway, we are off Wednesday morning to D-land. We won't have computer access so I will just have to go cold turkey on the DIS boards (I can feel the shakes coming on already!). I look forward to seeing some of you on Friday at the Grand Californian and the rest of you on-board.

Everyone, take your vitamin C, wash your hands, and keep them away from your eyes and nose. That should keep everyone healthy until we sail.

Until I see you all :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: dust for everyone! :grouphug:

I'll have my digicam and digital camera (5 MegaPixel). The video of me being beaten up by a very small woman was taken on my digicam. For our last trip, I collected everyone's digital photos and made a CD of the entire collection. I COULD do something similar, but with the thousand's of people who are contributing here, we'll probably need to trim the content down a bit....

It's been a lot of fun seeing pictures of everyone. Although, ouch, CSnyder. That takes a lot of skill to take a fall like that.....and live to post the movie on it. :earseek:

For those of you leaving soon for your pre-boarding land vacation, have a safe trip and fun at Disneyland. We will see you on board very soon. :cool1:

Moley and Bob

Curt, I enjoyed watching that video. I'm impressed that you can do those things and get up afterwards.

Margaret, my DH (Mark) grew up in Slidell. My mom and dad both went to Tulane. My stepfather taught at Tulane. I was born in Louisiana but up north in Shreveport. Did you go to college in New Orleans?

Chris, GrammieGail, and GGG, see you soon. I wish we could join you at the GC meet.

Susie - I saw go for the shorts. It is going to be REALLY hot and you don't want to be in pants. Or the sarong idea is a good one too!! Don't worry about it, you are on vacation!! I know, easy for me to say but really.

My dad is from Shreveport and I went to school there from k-2nd grade! Never thought I'd meet anyone else from there.

I'm so excited! Today at work I cried describing the video of the Magic coming thru the locks to pick me (and a few of my friends) up in LA!

Since we are headed to DL in 30 hours (oh my god, we are counting by HOURS now), I'm need to clear up last lose ends:
EVERYONE...I will bring the doortag and assume we will make our list of room #s at the scoops meeting (in case of last minute upgrades :rolleyes1 ).

Jedis...am I right in thinking you are bringing green navigators of the Dis week events or should I print them out from a few pages back?

Gail (wmjivey)...I will print the info from Frank for Mazatlan so we have it w/us.

Legal...you are hosting the winos, correct? Are we doing 3 pm?

Finally...Carrie, give both Mattie and Sammy big big hugs from us! I know what a bummer strep is (I hope they gave her zethromax) so I'm thinking of her! Sammy has had a long hard road and certainly deserves a relaxing cruise at this point! I have spare earplugs if he needs them for the pool!

And SSnyder, I'm with Suesings. Wear your shorts and be proud! NO ONE on this cruise is going to be perfect. And anyone who judges you isn't worth you time anyway. My mom, Jennifer and I all quit our diet 2 months ago. We just decided we look and feel good the way we. Wear those shorts girl. Get you some DAISY DUKES!!

This thread is once again jumping! :Pinkbounc :bounce: Hardly any posts this morning and afternoon, and now we're up to page 100. :earseek:

Sue and GrammieGail, glad you can join my DW Joy for morning workouts. You guys can "work out" (no pun intended) the details when we all meet at Scoops.

I saw the pictures of the ship in Acapulco this morning. It's almost here to pick us up. I read that Boyz II Men will be performing live tomorrow night at the Walt Disney Theater.

Have a safe trip to all those leaving early to start their vacations. Pray for everyone's good health so we can all have a MAGICal trip.

Sue, thanks for the tip about the Brew House, now is it a resturant too? We will be leaving Phx at 6am to try for the GC meet at 3pm, so if yall are inviting us to maybe a dinner with the four of us I'm game. Hey workout girls, I will gladly hoot and holler at yeh if you need some moral boost, I even throw some beads at yah for a leg flash :)

Margaret, thanks for the Pixie Dust. I feel better already. :flower:

Sue, I forgot to say that Kelly's note made me laugh. That was sooooo sweet what she said about liking everybody's hair, what they are wearing, and what they are holding. The part about Mattie's soccer ball was precious. Mattie loved it. She had me read it several times.

It is strange, I am just seeing this note now. I must be posting at the same time as other people and just miss some posts. I realized I missed something when people were commenting on Mattie have streph? I was thinking, WHAT? where did it say that. So I went back 3 or 4 pages and there were a few messages I had missed including this one?? :confused3

Now everynight Kelly tells me she tells me she wants to post another message to her "friends" Kids are so funny and honest. Cracks me up!

Challada-Yes, I am happy to host the Winos and yes, 3pm will be just fine! Is anyone updating the Lime Green Navigator?

CSnyder-I'd greatly love the assist in sparring a bit, nothing major just some light stuff to get my blood flowing... Don't worry, I'm not the painfully in shape karate guy you'd expect, I'm a pretty big guy, I have just learned to fight tactically, so I usually do fairly well at tournaments, but my real skill is weapons forms... sparring is one of my worst, though I did place 3rd in the Spring Nationals... I will be State Champ this year in Weapons, next year I am going for National Champion... What style do you practice?

As far as limits on wine, I hope someone can find out, because I think that the amount is VERY restricted... I'd hate to toss any out...! :drinking1

PS-I am post >>>1500!!<<<
