Sandy,

I had indeed come across that link and I thought it was awesome also. And to think that a few months ago, I would have questioned whether I was capable. Not any more - I cant' wait. It sure sounds like we're going to have fun with this.

BTW, I saw your group is from Oceanside. We used to live there also (before moving down to San Diego). We moved because we got tired of the long commute, but I liked Oceanside.

I know. They're being mean to us not giving us special west coast books, and not telling us specifics on the theme nights. Is anyone going to bring "piratey" wear? pirate: I also read that there is a tropical themed deck party the first day :cool1: and there could be a 50's, 60, 70's and/or 80's night!?!?!? HOW are we supposed to be prepared and still only bring 2 suit cases! Why do you hate me Disney!?!?I've done nothing but love you! :sad2:

There my be a Mexican theme night party as we will be visiting Mexico (rather than a tropical night). The Pirate night hasn't been going that long and seemed to be a big hit on our last cruise, so they will probably continue the pirate night. 60's, 70's and 80's nights have been taking place in Rockin Bar D. You are not limited to two suitcases, just two checked suitcases: we carried a hangup bag and two small bags on board. You just have to drag them through security and around the ship until your cabin is ready. Leaving the ship, they take all the luggage outside your door the night before docking and have extra tags for luggage if needed. Alex

Thanks for those great links. I loved the pictures and am really getting excited. I wish for everyone to be healthy for this trip. So, I will send Pixie Dust :wizard:

We are still waiting for our docs...hopefully today.

Not a good way to start off the cruise! I am not impressed so far, and I am a first time cruiser!

Here's hoping things are going to get better from here!
We're almost there
I guess that doesn't bother me. I have been on the East coast cruise, and I don't remember the passport you are referring to, so I guess it didn't register as something special to me at the time.

I'm sure there are going to be a lot of special things for us on this cruise.

That said, I am also thinking that a lot of things could go wrong. This is the first time for this cruise afterall. Even though Disney has a reputation for doing things right, I can't imagine that there aren't going to be a few hitches.

I guess I'm going with the attitude that this is possible (even likely) that some things won't go as planned and I'm willing to cut them some slack. I just won't let it spoil it for me. As my husband always says every time we leave on a trip and everytime something doesn't go as planned, "It's not a vacation, it's an adventure". And we do seem to have our share of "adventures".

ssnyder~I wish my husband was as optimistic as yours. He goes INSAINE when something isn't going right. I usually have to try and give him some kind of pep talk like yoru husband gives you. But as much as he gets stressed, he always goes with me on my wild adventures. :love2: :lovestruc

BLAAAAA! I'm post #666. QUICK! Someone post something else.

Thanks for the well wishes guys... good news is that I have stopped the flow of stuff that should not be coming out of a body and the fever seems to be down...bad news is I cannot speak now (very hard for ME) and definitely have a double ear infection. Started some amoxicillin that I've got laying around thinking that should clear it up (since it clears up everything).

Grammie-shirts are done...I'm going to wash them before we wear them if that's OK so they are softened up.

You guys have been busy while I've been gone...there's like ten new pages for me to read...I better get to work!

Challada - glad to hear you are feeling better. I am also very envious that you guys have your tickets (maybe today's mail). How did you decorate the shirts?

Gail-
We did Mickey embroidery on the lime-green polos...everyone thought I was CRAZY three years ago when I insisted on buying the Disney embroidery machine but it has paid for itself ten times over as I've done every teacher gift/daycare gift, etc, etc w/some embroidery and do "consignment" work on the side for some friends (LOL...I only charge them the cost of my thread!).
The shirts turned out well, but Alex's writing had a glitch in it and I had to redo his a couple of times....

Carrie-
Reading back, I read about Sammy's scare! Did they say if that had anything to do w/his ears? I wouldn't think so, but I'm not a doc....glad to hear that his big sis is being so brave!

I'm getting so excited to get to meet everyone in a few weeks! Woohoo! :cheer2:

Orginally, the Anaheim Project for the property adjacent to Disneyland was to be called what? (It has become Disney's California Adventure.)

Welcome back, Challada. So glad that you are on the road to recovery.

Thank you for thinking of Sammy. His ear infection is unrelated to the GI problem. DH asked a couple of times because he wondered the same thing. Sammy had the outer ear infection the whole time the other was going on. One good thing to come out of this episode is that his ear infection is finally clearing up. He's had to deal with 4 different rounds of ear drops in the past month. He hated getting the drops. None of them had been working. We had an appt scheduled for the ENT so I decided to not give him any during his ICU stay. You can probably guess what happened. His ear infection started clearing up. We went to the ENT the other day. She vacuumed out his ear. Put some powder in there and said she expects he'll be fine now. We go back in 2 weeks to be sure. She said he should be able to swim by the time we go on the cruise.

I hope we get our documents soon.

Today I just couldn't get the trivia up any earlier because I'm finishing up the last few things for my classes. Tomorrow the Q will go up around 3:30 and Friday it should be up right at 3. And from then on until we cruise, at 3!

I'm pretty jealous of you who can just jot up to DL at a moment's notice! *sigh*

I, too, have lost my voice and it ain't fun at all for a chatty bird like me! As my co-workers joke, I can suck the oxygen right out of a room, I talk so much. So I've been the butt of many jokes these past few days because I can't defend myself!

peace--
Rebecca

Carrie- my son hated the ear drops too...I feel for you! Glad he's on the road to recovery, though!

Wasn't the adjacent supposed to be the original EPCOT? OMG...if I got a trivia question, it's only because of all the drugs in my system...with that in mind, I gotta go drive the streets wildly to get my kid from school to piano to baseball! See ya!

Chris - glad you are feeling better. Sounds like you were REALLY sick. Ugh.

Margaret - so sorry to hear about your dog. They truly are just like family and I have gone through the heartbreak of losing 3 dogs over the years. It is so strange how much they are entwined in our lives and you really notice it when they pass away.

I loved the pictures of the Green T-Shirts and the Green DIS cake. It looks like they had one of the large suites for their parties. Our room will be way too small to have a party in. Does anyone know if you can use a conference room or small bar or something for a get together party? Maybe everybody could sign up for an appetizer or we could all decide on a couple of good wines and bring a bottle from home for the party (then we wouldn't have to mix wines - maybe a good red and a good white?) Just an idea, not sure if it would work.

Grammiegail - I went to the gym today and did 30 minutes on the eliptical trainer and then my weight circuit.

I think Challada is right. It has to be Epcot. Didn't they used to have the plans where you could see them in the GE Carousel of Progress?

I believe it was going to be called Westcot(sp?), rather than Epcot.
