Oh yeah! Grumpy Grampa got sick on Sunday (our last day in Disneyland). He had nausea, vomiting, and, well, stuff from the other end, too. He was a really trooper. He went to Disneyland and just let me, Chris (Challada), Emily and Alex ride what we wanted. He did ride one thing - Buzz Lightyear. By the time we flew home that evening, he was feeling better. I got it the next day, but I didn't seem to have it as bad as he did. I guess that was to make up for the fact that I had the sinus infection from hell while onboard. I have to admit the ship's infirmary was very efficient and the antibiotics worked wonders for the sinus infection and........oh, yeah, I came down with a cold the day before we sailed. I was amazed that it didn't settle in my chest (where my colds usually go, I think, just to annoy my asthma). It lingered in my head leading to the sinus infection. Sure, I was coughing, but I figured that was just my asthma. Imagine my surprise, when I started coughing worse when I got home. On Wednesday, I finally called for an appointment. I had a chest x-ray done on Thursday and showed a resolving pneumonia! Yup, in addition to a sinus infection, I had pneumonia. The good thing is that the antibiotics they gave me for the sinus infection also worked on my pneumonia.

Bob and I are both doing well now. I hope you are well also!

Wow,,,hope you two really are feeling better. You have to be very careful with pneumonia, as I'm sure everyone has been telling you. You really have to take it easy. It takes a long time to get out of your system. I had it myself in March. It's a really good thing you were taking those antibiotics. It was great meeting you. Take good care of yourself and Bob!:goodvibes

Gail,

We're finally home and catching up on dis stuff. OMG! I'm so glad to hear that you guys are feeling better. Who would have thought that you had pneumonia? I was just telling you about Kate have pneumonia in March. Glad to hear that you're feeling better.

Thank you to Chris and you for your Soaring advice. That was an incredible experience. Disneyland was sooooo nice. The fireworks were the best that I have ever seen. Tinkerbell was breath taking. WOW!

Thanks! We are both MUCH better, but we really missed Ana and Gabor bringing us food and Brian keeping our room neat and making us animals. It really sucked to be sick AND have to do all that ourselves. We really got spoiled!

I agree that pneumonia is the pits. I had it 1 1/2 years ago. That one really laid me out....3 weeks. I guess it was a good thing the sinus infection was so bad that I actually went to the infirmary. It could have been really ugly if I hadn't. My nurse practitioner just shakes her head when I tell her this kind of stuff. She knows when I come in, it's bad.

So sorry to hear some of you have been ailing. I hope you are all better now. I was struck with a wicked case of carpal tunnel. It kept me from typing up a trip report until just now, but only because I'm heavily medicated. And I haven't had a drink of the day since being onboard!

I wanted to link my trip report to y'all on this thread because I had some pics of some of your gorgeous faces. It was fun meeting you, even if only briefly. I hope you have plans to sail again soon. Enjoy the report and the pictures. :flower:
