May 27th 2007 Wonder Cruise. Anyone else on it?

My boys like to play basketball as well. My oldest will be 12 and younger will be 8 1/2 when we sail. They both also like to play video/computer games. They are very excited about the kids' club.

We booked our cruise months ago but as the time draws nearer, we are all getting a little more pumped about going. We watched our DCL DVD again tonight and the kids acted really excited. I've overheard them talking about it and they've been asking questions about what's going to be there for them to do and see. Is everybody else starting to get into the cruise groove yet?

Michele

Yes, we are starting to get excited. I just bought everyone new shoes for the cruise yesterday. It gives us some time to break them in. Our final payment is due in just a few weeks.:)

Hey guys!
Today I called to confirm ressies at Radisson at the Port and confirm the 10:00 shuttle. They acted like I was crazy. Very weird phone call... I got passed around three times! Finally they told me to call back tomorrow before three to confirm the shuttle??? Don't know what that was all about! Little concerned now...

Also, what things are you guys gonna book? I was thinking about the dolphin encounter and Palo brunch. I was gonna book the CC package with snorkel, floats and bikes but after reading a germ thread on the snorkels I think we're gonna just buy our own and maybe rent the floats if we need them once there. I doubt we'd have used the bikes anyway...

We had a similar experience when trying to book the shuttle. We have since decided to stay at the Hyatt MCO, since our flight arrives the night before.

We plan on doing the stingray excursion at Castaway Cay. We'll probably rent the bikes and boats on the island too. Can you believe how quickly the cruise is approaching?

We cancelled our Radisson reservation and booked the cruise park special at The Country Inn and Suites. We are going to talk about excursions etc this weekend,a dn I will post what we decide.

We are really looking forward to this trip.

We made pre-cruise ressies at the Residence Inn in Cape Canaveral. After the cruise we are planning to stay in the R.I. Lake Buena Vista while we spend three days at parks. I hope they are both good places to stay. Trip Advisor had good reviews on both places. We haven't decided on excursions either but I've been doing lots of reading and discussing! According to our T.A. we can start booking them March 14 so we still have time.

Final payment is made and booked the dolphin encounter and 10:00 Palo brunch at 3 AM last night! :cool1:

I felt stupid getting up in the middle of the night to book stuff, but when I got back on at 7:20 AM before taking the girls to school all the Palo brunch times were gone! YIKES!

I did get to confirm we are on the 10:00 Radisson shuttle, too.

Things are moving right along!

One snag, we decided last minute to book the Poly for two nights after the cruise to surprise the girls, but no more AP rates are available and I don't care to spend that much money on a room. OMG!
Kinda a bummer, we thought it would be cool to just pull up to the Poly. They would have been stoked!

Course, they still don't even know about the cruise! :rotfl2:

Oh, I saw on another thread logan had trouble booking last night. Did anyone else have problems, too? :confused3

Yes, that other thread I posted that at 3:30 a.m. EST, the screens for booking were not available to me, so did my on-line check in and reservations at 6:15 a.m. today. Got Palo for Tuesday night, 6:30 to give us time for Golden Mickeys late show afterward, and then pirate deck party fireworks. But 7 pm was the latest available for us that night by the time I logged on.

Also--anyone know if parasailing at castaway cay is still offered, just sold out in those three hours early this a.m., or not being offered at the present time for our cruise--would have liked to have signed up for DS and myself. We did get the sting rays at CC for 2 pm for all 4 of us, me, DW, DS (11), and my DM (71). DW chose not to book anything for the spa--she'll risk availability for an in-port special since we might very well stay on board in nassau.

I have long since forgotten--are we going to do a DIS meet on board? where/when? promenade lounge worked well for a prior DIS meet a couple years back, shortly after the muster drill--even wore my DIS neon green t-shirt--a bit faded now!

Wareagle--lets get the boys together on the court; DS has never shown much enthusiasm for the OL, but perhaps with someone to go w/, he might have more interest. He did get to like playing computer games in the lab in the evenings on the wonder in jan. 05--used to come back to the stateroom after the OL shut--we'd be asleep and he'd come in at 12:30 or 1:00, he was just 8 years old!! We're on late dining, but DS is always looking for an excuse to eat & run. He has made nice friends on a couple previous cruises, DCL and RCI both (and then there are two sets of parents keeping periodic tabs on a threesome, which is what he has ended up with twice before).

How quickly do the excursions sell out? I just want to book excursions. We aren't interested in Palo:eek: . Do I still need to stay up until midnight then to book?

Just wanted to introduce myself. I will also be on the May 27th Wonder Cruise as well. It will be Me and my dd (12). This is our third time on the Wonder. I have also booked Blackbeards Cay and Stingray excursion for our day in Nassau. It seems like time is going by slowly. Not until we hit the thirty day mark will it seem like time is flying by. Just wanted to stop by and say Hi!

Melody:banana:

Welcome Melody. :)

DH and I decided today to book two nights at the GF with the AP discount for after the cruise. We decided not to tell our girls - we're just gonna pretend to drive home, but instead go to WDW. :thumbsup2

I'm excited to finally be staying on a monorail resort! :cool1:

Have you calculated what day we can book? Is it 45 days in advance? Or is that something else? Ack, I'm starting to confuse myself!

Thank you so much! I think 45 days is when I need to make final payment for our resort portion! Ack...13 days till we can book. Hope they have parasailing again by then.

:cool1: Wooo Hoooo!!!!! We are getting ready and excited too! (Serena254 I have sent you an E-mail, my daughter 12 would love to correspond with your dd.)

:woohoo: We have a plan of attack made out for brunch at Palo's and excursions too. We will have spent a week in Orlando prior to the cruise playing. Maybe we can relax on the cruise? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
